The psychological situation of these families is interwoven in a complex set of emotional, social and political aspects. Social assistance, educational and juridical institutions generate effects on the psychotherapeutic work. The main objective was to study the emotional and subjective aspects that emerge when new family relationships are beginning to develop. Special attention was given to the aspects that are favourable or unfavourable to the construction of such family bonds. A main point was to determine the importance and the scope of psychotherapy contribution to the success of the adoption processes. The clinical work was based on the psychoanalytical listening to the unconscious and transformed into case histories and vignettes. The research showed that adoption brings many risks and threatens mental health of those involved in it. When more importance is given to psychotherapy, the experience tends to be more gratifying. Psychotherapy is essential specially when families choose to adopt older children or a group of brothers and sisters. Elaboration of separation, mourning and transformation of primitive ideals is made possible through psychotherapy, besides the creation of new identifications and bonds of love. The theoretical basis was the work of Freud, Ferenczi, Klein and Winnicott, new authors that belong to this tradition and Brazilian authors who published on the subject of adoption / Esta tese surgiu do trabalho clínico institucional e em consultório particular com crianças adotadas ou em processo de adoção e com as respectivas famílias que se dispuseram a acolhê-las. As situações estudadas encontram-se determinadas por uma complexa rede de fatores emocionais, políticos e sociais. As crianças e famílias adotantes encontram-se na intersecção de abrigos, instituições jurídicas, de assistência social e de educação e precisam responder a múltiplas exigências. O objetivo da tese foi estudar os aspectos subjetivos que emergem nas relações iniciais entre as crianças e as novas famílias e discernir os fatores que dificultam e favorecem a construção da parentalidade e da filiação. Procurou-se estabelecer quais as contribuições que o atendimento psicanalítico pode dar às novas relações que precisam ser construídas, tendo-se como embasamento teórico o pensamento de Freud, Ferenczi, Klein e Winnicott, além de autores brasileiros com produção na área de adoção. O trabalho fundamentou-se no método de escuta psicanalítica do inconsciente e foram apresentados alguns casos e vinhetas clínicas. A pesquisa demonstrou que o processo de adoção envolve grandes riscos e desafios à saúde mental de pais e filhos. Quando se dá suficiente importância ao acompanhamento psicoterápico das famílias, a experiência de adoção acaba sendo boa e gratificante, sobretudo no caso de crianças de maior idade ou de grupos de irmãos. ABSTRACT Title: How Kalmar Industries and Trelleborg AB developed their business in the emerging markets of China and Russia Background and Purpose: The world is becoming more global and companies are quick to grab hold of this opportunity to internationalize and expand into emerging markets. The emerging markets studied in this paper are China and Russia, which boast growing economics, large sources of labor, and are reportedly highly corrupt. The research for this paper focuses on Kalmar Industries – a leading supplier of cargo handling equipment to ports, terminals, and Trelleborg AB Fluid Systems – an industrial company that sells industrial hose and other industrial rubber components. Both companies have entered the markets of China and Russia and are presently expanding operations there. This paper’s aim is to get a better insight into how they entered these emerging markets and what difficulties they have faced developing in these markets. Method: A survey was sent in advance to potential interviewees working closely with the subject markets. The authors then followed up with interviews, phone interviews, and emailed responses. Theory: Market entry strategies, framework for integrated risk management in international business, international risk perception and mode of entry, two dimensions of corruption, and relationship marketing Findings and Conclusion: Both Kalmar Industries and Trelleborg AB Fluid Systems entered the market through exportation and have gradually increased investments in these markets. Both have experienced challenges in these markets mostly due to government policies and other general risks associated with entering into foreign markets. Although corruption is present in China and Russia, neither company feels that it affects the way they do business. In spite of the risks, both companies feel the benefits outweigh the drawbacks and they plan to continue growing in these markets.

This essay explores the theme of identity in Kiley Reid’s Such a Fun Age (2019). The study departs from intersectionality (Crenshaw 1989; McCall 2005) and focuses on the concepts of race (Barnshaw 2008; Keaton 2018), social class (Peckham 2010) and privilege (Bhopal 2018), which rest on a common ground of gender. Moreover, these are all elements of a person’s social identity (Eriksen 2014) and will be examined as such. Through the main characters of Emira and Alix, this essay analyzes and compares the construction of the self, how their social identities affect that process of construction, and how they relate to those social identities.

This thesis is a primer on the experimental independent animator Don Hertzfeldt, whose filmography—described by one critic as “a singular universe of stick figures in crisis”—has for more than two decades been engaging some of the larger questions of post-millennial existence, particularly with regard to consciousness, temporality, and death. First, I will briefly introduce who Hertzfeldt is as an auteur (where he comes from, where his primary interests lie, and what his impact has been); second, I will provide an overview of the historical context in which his oeuvre should be placed (i.e. the history of animation and of experimental cinema); third, I will closely analyze his work, examining questions of style and narrative, starting from his student films and continuing to his more recent films; and fourth, I will explore some of the philosophical implications of recurring Hertzfeldtian motifs and themes (particularly with regard to consciousness, temporality, and death) before concluding.

Op 1 Maart 1992 het die wetgewer hier te lande 'n aantal nuwe maatreels vir hierdie doel beliggaam in die Wysigingswet op Onderhoud, 2 van 1991, wat op genoemde datum in werking getree het. 'n Ondersoek is gedoen by die Johannesburgse Landdroshof waar 'n studie gemaak is van 2,248 afgehandelde sake en strek oor die periode 1Maart 1992 tot 31Augustus1995. Die ondersoek bring aan die lig dat die bepalings van genoemde Wysigingswet op Onderhoud, wat gerig is op effektiewer afdwinging van onderhoudsbevele, nie 'n noemenswaardige verbetering in effektiewer afdwinging van hierdie bevele in die praktyk tot gevolg gehad het nie. Dit blyk dat die meeste howe geneig is om belangrike afdwingingsmeganismes soos besoldigingsbeslag bevele en lasbriewe vir eksekusie oor die hoof sien. Legislators here and aboard are always attempting to improve the effectiveness of maintenance collection and enforcement methods. Research done at the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court involving 2,248 cases covering the period 1 March 1992 to 31 August 1995 reveals that the Maintenance Amendment Act, 2 of 1991, which is aimed at improving the enforcement of maintenance orders had a negligible effect on enforcement mechanisms used by the courts. It appears that most courts are inclined to overlook important collection methods such as garnishee and attachment orders. Criticism is levelled at certain provisions contained in the Maintenance Act, 23 of 1963, as amended. Suggestions are made how relatively simple amendments would contribute to more effective enforcement of maintenance orders. A brief survey is made of attempts by some Western countries to improve the manner of maintenance collection. / Private Law / LL. M. (Law)

Social capital has been studied on the basis of comparative studies on whether ethnic bakground has significance for social capital. The study is conducted on the basis of a qualitative content analysis as a method with the application of theory consumption studay or hypothesis studay.  The study is categorized into three dimensions as social interaction, association, involvement and municipal actors with several indicators. Socialt capital includes two primary theories by, Robert Putnam and Bo Rothsteins. Result shows that ethnicity is important for social capital because there are factors that positively affect an individual´s confidence.  The study also shows that ethnicity has less significance for social capital because the individual´s high confidence depends on the efficiency of the actors who positively influence social capital.

The main focus of this disertation are relationships of Jan Neruda. They are explained from two different points of view: historical and didactic. The historical part is about the facts, for which the evidence can be found. Those that don't have any evidence in the historical sources are separated. In this part there were also discussed some novels, which portray Jan Neruda. The didactic part contains of the analysis of the textbooks, there was studied, how the information about Neruda's relationships were explained to the students. The last chapter is about websites, where the information about this topic can be found. This topic was there also assessed from the historical and didactic point of view.
