”Om dom bara säger nej hela tiden vet man ju inte hur man gör när man ska spela” : En studie om surfplattors användningsområden i förskolan

Karlsson, Elin January 2014 (has links)
I have through qualitative interviews and analysis of previous research in the area searched answers to what tablets are used for in preschools and the reason why they are used in this way. In addition, it examines the similarities and differences there are in how teachers and children describe the use of the tool in preschool. The study is also looking for answers on whether and how the plates are used to develop children's scientific knowledge. There are six teachers and 14 children's statement that forms the basis for the analysis. The results indicate that tablets are used for two purposes. Partly in an educational purpose for different ways to live up to pre-school's mission which is attributed to the business through the preschool curriculum (Skolverket, 2010). In addition, the tablets even are used as an entertainment medium where children play in the application programs, called apps. Results show that what affects how tablets are used in the nursery, and for what purpose, seems to lie in teachers' interest, time and skills in the subject. Educators and children's statements about the use may be related to each other but the interviews show that they value different emphases. The study also shows that the use of tablets to develop children's scientific knowledge is very marginal.
