Ugdymo ir socialinės integracijos garantijos sudaro sąlygas atskleisti ir plėtoti negalių turinčių vaikų ir suaugusių asmenų potencialą, turi svarbų vaidmenį asmens intelektinių, socialinių ir kt. gebėjimų raidai. Tačiau net ir įstatymiškai įteisintomis integracijos sąlygomis kai kurios negalių turinčių asmenų grupės patiria tam tikrų socializacijos problemų, susijusių tiek su nepalankiomis visuomenės nuostatomis, negalės stereotipais, tiek ir su neįgaliųjų elgsenos ypatingumais. / Scientific problem in the dissertation research is specified according to the following problem questions: How do the strategies for social skills’ education, which are oriented towards the strengths of a pupil and the system of interactions among education participants, function in the educational practice? What particularities of the application of social skills’ strategies (pupil’s strengths and education participants’ system) do the experience of education participants reveal? What positive and problem aspects of the interaction among education participants do the education in the system child-family-school highlights.

<p>The global impact of the converging dual epidemics of tuberculosis (TB) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is one of the major public health challenges of our time, because in many countries, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and mycobacterium tuberculosis (TB) are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality. It is found that infection with HIV increases the risk of reactivating latent TB infection, and HIV-infected individuals who acquire new TB infections have high rates of disease progression. Research has shown that these two diseases are enormous public health burden, and unfortunately, not much has been done in terms of modeling the dynamics of HIV-TB co-infection at a population level. In this thesis, we study these models and design and analyze robust numerical methods to solve them. To proceed in this direction, first we study the sub-models and then the full model. The first sub-model describes the transmission dynamics of HIV that accounts for behavior change. The impact of HIV educational campaigns is also studied. Further, we explore the effects of behavior change and different responses of individuals to educational campaigns in a situation where individuals may not react immediately to these campaigns. This is done by considering a distributed time delay in the HIV sub-model. This leads to Hopf bifurcations around the endemic equilibria of the model. These bifurcations correspond to the existence of periodic solutions that oscillate around the equilibria at given thresholds. Further, we show how the delay can result in more HIV infections causing more increase in the HIV prevalence. Part of this study is then extended to study a co-infection model of HIV-TB. A thorough bifurcation analysis is carried out for this model. Robust numerical methods are then designed and analyzed for these models.&nbsp / Comparative numerical results are also provided for each model.</p>

The advanced stage of capitalism that we now live in has brought many changes to the way that society consumes and produces. One of the biggest shifts to the modern economy was the use of visual culture to distract, pacify, and exert power over the masses; a cultural change French theorist Guy Debord named the Society of the Spectacle. As a result, Debord and the Situationist International developed a movement of resistance to reclaim the territories of everyday life being eroded by the spectacle through separation and alienation. Since the term was coined the use of visual culture has accelerated and become even more pervasive in the postmodern world which led Jean Baudrillard to claim that the real has been replaced by simulation and hyperreality. This thesis explores this cultural shift to determine whether the practices of resistance theorized by Debord and the Situationists are still relevant as the reach of postmodernism increases.
