Adopting DevOps in Agile: Challenges and SolutionsWang, Cheng, Liu, Changling January 2018 (has links)
Background. DevOps is a hot topic in recent years. It emphasizes the combination of development and operation. Agile is one of the most popular development methods, but Agile mainly focused on software development part, there is no more involvement in deployment and operations. In this case, many companies consider adopting DevOps in Agile to attempt to improve the situation. Objectives. The combination of two different technologies is bound to produce some challenges, whether it is for practitioners or researchers, it is very important to find these challenges and mitigate them, so this article aims to investigate the challenges of adopting DevOps in Agile, then through the systematic literature review and survey questionnaire to determine the corresponding mitigation strategy. Then, in order to detail understand the process of adopting DevOps in Agile, we use interview to research the real process of adopting DevOps in agile. Methods. According to our research question, we used the systematic literature review(SLR), survey questionnaire and interview as our research methodology. Through literature review, we collected data of adopting DevOps in Agile, and summary the challenges and its relevant mitigation strategies. Then survey questionnaire helped us linking the content of literature to the industry, and compare their difference. Through the interview, we explored the actual process of adopting DevOps in Agile in industry, and correspond the challenges to the actual process. Results. Our study summarized the software development process of adopting DevOps based on Agile and revealed 23 challenges and corresponding mitigation strategies. The report also compares the commonalities and gaps between the results from the literature and the findings of real-life adopting of DevOps challenges and mitigation strategies. Conclusions. In this article, we introduced the challenges and corresponding mitigation strategies for adopting DevOps based on agile and summarize the corresponding software development process. The obvious challenges and mitigation strategies were divided into four categories: 1) People 2) Project 3) Process 4) Organization, after which we conducted further discussions based on the actual conditions and compared the results of systematic literature review and the results of questionnaire to detail explore their difference.

Revisão sistemática de literatura sobre o uso terapêutico do ozônio em feridas / Systematic Literature Review about the therapeutic use of the ozone in woundsJuliana Trench Ciampone de Oliveira 28 November 2007 (has links)
National Library of Medicine). Among the possible treatments for wounds there is one that is still very little discussed and divulged: the therapeutic use of the ozone. The purpose of this review is to verify if there are benefits of that use. These were the following goals: to search for scientific evidence of those benefits through systematic scientific literature review; to the bibliographic research of basic studies related to this theme; to analyze the methodological quality of those studies and to discuss the evidence of their results. The methodology used was the systematic scientific literature review, according to what is stated by the Cochrane Center of Brazil. Eight electronic data bases that contain publications of researches in the health area were selected (CINAHAL, COCHRANE, EMBASE, LILACS, MEDLINE, OVID, PubMed, USP/Sibi/DEDALUS). Apart from those data bases, one study was found in a Germany book specific on that theme. The research was done according to the Health Science Key-words based on the MESH (Medical Subject Headings of U.S. National Library of Medicine). 1637 studies were found, 55 were pre-selected and only 23 were included in the review. The main results were the following: 52,2% of the included studies were non-controlled clinical trials, 21,7% were open-label randomized controlled clinical trials, 17,4% were non-randomized controlled clinical trials and 8,7% were case reports. Most part of the studies considered the complete wound healing or the healing process stimulation as outcomes, followed by improvement of the wound aspects, reduction in the pain/symptoms, improvement on the laboratory exams and one of them reported the wound smell reduction. This review analyzed how many intrinsic and extrinsic variables were controlled and who the subjects were in each study. Besides that, it was analyzed if there were variables stratification among the control and the experimental groups in the controlled trials and the adapted Jadad Scale was applied to verify the internal validity of the randomized trials, whose obtained scores were less than the minimum standardized for a high quality study. To sum up, when only randomized trials are considered as of quality, it is possible to recognize strong evidence of benefit in the use of the ozone, which confirms the hypothesis of this review. But, when analyzing the internal validity, the controlled variables and the number and the kind of subjects, the studies presented execution problems and it is not possible to recognize the same thing. It is needless to say that all studies have obtained favorable results in the use of the ozone, which triggers the need to carry out more related studies, as well as to conduct controlled clinical trials, with intrinsic and extrinsic variables stratification and, mainly, that the ozone without associating any method that can interfere in the wound healing is used as unique intervention. Finally, considering all discussed aspects and the Brazilian reality, the ozone could be an important option of wound treatment and it could bring many benefits to its carriers if this was proofed by well conducted quality studies

Maternal and professional identity change during the transition to motherhoodKutzer, Roxanne 08 1900 (has links)
Becoming a mother derails many women’s chances for career progression. One reason for this is that women leave organisations when they become mothers, or reduce their working hours. Another reason is that people within the organisation start to view them as less career-orientated as a result of being mothers. At the core of this issue is that who a woman is – her identity – is being redefined in the transition to motherhood, by herself and by those around her. But, little is known about how her professional identity develops during the transition to motherhood, or whether its development is related to her growing maternal identity. This paper, therefore, presents a systematic review of the literature concerning changes in maternal and professional identities, as well as the relationship between them. Based on the evidence, this review concludes that although the development of maternal identity has been well documented in the literature, little is known about how a woman’s professional identity develops, as she becomes a mother. Suggestions for further research and practice are discussed.

Targeting the escalation of cybercrime in Greece. A systematic literature reviewKaterina Rebecca, Paraskeva January 2019 (has links)
Abstract:Cybercrime refers to any illegal use of technology, a computer, networked device or a network for criminal acts. It constitutes a rapidly evolving and complex phenomenon as the Internet is ruling on almost every sector of human activity. Innovation plays a highly significant role in the growth of an economy. However, every time there is an advancement in the field of technology, there is bound to be other adverse effects. Such is the case with criminology. In this end, the prevalence of cybercrime is alarmingly increasing, and there have been several attempts by the government and other concerned agencies at stemming its escalation (Curtis et al., 2009). The following thesis shows the investigation of the rise of cybercrime in Greece. It is a systematic literature review available on this topic, aiming to explore areas such as the preparedness of the government in the fight against cybercrime, and the consideration that, in so doing, it is obligated to protect the rights of intellectual property as well as the protection of the rights to privacy of its citizens (Gobran, 2015). Of all the categories of information technology-related crimes, cybercrimes are the most common. The thesis also explores the conventions and laws employed by law enforcement in the efforts to counter the activities of cybercrime, including their effectiveness. It also establishes the different sectors and industries with the highest rates of cybercrime activities and the ways in which these sectors are fighting against these activities.

Reporting the Performance of Confidence Intervals in Statistical Simulation Studies: A Systematic Literature ReviewKabakci, Maside 08 1900 (has links)
Researchers and publishing guidelines recommend reporting confidence intervals (CIs) not just along with null hypothesis significance testing (NHST), but for many other statistics such as effect sizes and reliability coefficients. Although CI and standard errors (SEs) are closely related, examining standard errors alone in simulation studies is not adequate because we do not always know if a standard error is small enough. Overly small SEs may lead to increased probability of Type-I error and CIs with lower coverage rate than expected. Statistical simulation studies generally examine the magnitude of the empirical standard error, but it is not clear if they examine the properties of confidence intervals. The present study examines confidence interval investigating and reporting practices, particularly with respect to coverage and bias as diagnostics in published statistical simulation studies across eight psychology journals using a systematic literature review. Results from this review will inform editorial policies and hopefully encourage researchers to report CIs.

Critical analysis of Big Data challenges and analytical methodsSivarajah, Uthayasankar, Kamal, M.M., Irani, Zahir, Weerakkody, Vishanth J.P. 08 October 2016 (has links)
Yes / Big Data (BD), with their potential to ascertain valued insights for enhanced decision-making process, have recently
attracted substantial interest from both academics and practitioners. Big Data Analytics (BDA) is increasingly
becoming a trending practice that many organizations are adopting with the purpose of constructing
valuable information from BD. The analytics process, including the deployment and use of BDA tools, is seen by
organizations as a tool to improve operational efficiency though it has strategic potential, drive new revenue
streams and gain competitive advantages over business rivals. However, there are different types of analytic applications
to consider. Therefore, prior to hasty use and buying costly BD tools, there is a need for organizations to
first understand the BDA landscape.Given the significant nature of the BDand BDA, this paper presents a state-ofthe-
art review that presents a holistic view of the BD challenges and BDA methods theorized/proposed/
employed by organizations to help others understand this landscape with the objective of making robust investment
decisions. In doing so, systematically analysing and synthesizing the extant research published on BD and
BDA area. More specifically, the authors seek to answer the following two principal questions: Q1 –What are the
different types of BD challenges theorized/proposed/confronted by organizations? and Q2 – What are the different
types of BDA methods theorized/proposed/employed to overcome BD challenges?. This systematic literature review
(SLR) is carried out through observing and understanding the past trends and extant patterns/themes in the
BDA research area, evaluating contributions, summarizing knowledge, thereby identifying limitations, implications
and potential further research avenues to support the academic community in exploring research
themes/patterns. Thus, to trace the implementation of BD strategies, a profiling method is employed to analyze
articles (published in English-speaking peer-reviewed journals between 1996 and 2015) extracted from the
Scopus database. The analysis presented in this paper has identified relevant BD research studies that have
contributed both conceptually and empirically to the expansion and accrual of intellectual wealth to the BDA
in technology and organizational resource management discipline.

Visualizations in Augmented Reality for Multiple Real-Time Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Video Feeds : Visualizing Occluded and Out-of-View EntitiesBränneby, Måns, Gerfort, Oliver January 2022 (has links)
Background. The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) is today prevalent in both defense applications as well as in civilian tasks and is predicted to have a major socio-economic impact [22]. The opportunities involved with using Augmented Reality (AR) during UAV operations have engaged previous research intending to improve an operator’s situational awareness which allows operations to be carried out without putting people in dangerous situations [1,11,47]. In the case of a system where multiple UAVs are simultaneously active with the possibility to share information, opportunities arise for visualization of tracked entities either located behind objects in the environment or outside the field of view of a UAV. While previous research has been done in the field of AR on hidden elements, the impact of those techniques in a multi-UAV scenario is unexplored. Objectives. The thesis aimed to answer the question of what the impact is of different visualization techniques in regards to response time, depth perception, and clarity in a multi-UAV scenario involving entities occluded by the environment or otherwise hidden. Methods. This thesis has gone forward with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to in a systematic way compile the most important visualization techniques for AR visualizations of hidden elements. The techniques proposed by the SLR were implemented in an application simulating a multi-UAV scenario as well as evaluated in an experiment and a survey to fill in the gaps in previous research. Results. The SLR provided this work with multiple important aspects for visualization of entities, both occluded as well outside the field of view including the importance to utilize occlusion as a depth cue but also concrete techniques for implementation. Through the SLR the Excavation box, Naive ghosting, Silhouette, Ruler, Halo, and Radar techniques were selected for implementation in a multi-UAV scenario. The evaluation showed that for clarity the Excavation box and Silhouette techniques were preferred over the Naive ghosting technique, that the Halo technique is preferred for estimation of position but also aspects such that the occlusion depth cue may be unnecessary at the distances involved in the general multi-UAV scenario evaluated. Conclusions. Based on the findings of this thesis can visualizations in a multi-UAV scenario be created, heightening the situational awareness of UAV operators and therefore allowing tasks to be completed without putting people in dangerous situations [1, 11, 22, 47]. / Bakgrund.
