Ljungquist, Astrid, Horneij, Alexandra January 2019 (has links)
This study aims to examine whether project- and production managers within different areas of the media industry experience technostress due to any of the five technostress creators:techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity and techno-uncertainty. Furthermore, the study examines how employees handle the effects of these. In the study, both qualitative and quantitative methods have been applied. The qualitative data collection includes a focus group discussion as well as individual interviews with project- and production managers operating in Malmö. The quantitative data collection was conducted in the form of a survey sent to both project- and production managers in the media industry in Malmö and to Nätverket Piraya’s members. The results show that project- and production managers in the media industry mostly experience techno-overload and techno-invasion. The collected data indicate that information communication technologies (ICT) such as email and mobile phones are the main reason for this. Together, they enable a workload that is difficult for the respondents to keep up with and finish during office hours. The mobility of these ICT’s also allows the respondents to work outside the office, making it difficult for many to separate work and personal life. The study also shows that the presence of techno-complexity, techno-insecurity och techno-uncertainty is low among the respondents.

No. of bitstreams: 1 Aline Silva Ferreira.pdf: 1292757 bytes, checksum: 95de701640eb65c840c7627a1e07ed1a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-02-23 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / Due to competitivity, companies adhered to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for increasing productivity and results. In this sense, technology improved quality and productivity in workers’ routine, but excessive use of ICT can lead to the technological stress known as technostress. Some aspects of creating technological stress relates to information overload and constant connectivity, denominated as techno-overload and techno-invasion. This study analyzed reflexes of the technostress in the organizational behavior. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through a research instrument with 331 questionnaires answered. It concludes that techno-overload and techno-invasion influence positively work-family conflict, so excessive use of ITC can generate discomfort in the professional’s life. Results point that it was not possible to indicate influence of techno-overload and techno-invasion relating to affective organizational commitment and turnover intention. It verifies that there is low influence of the Techno-invasion relating to job satisfaction, and it was not possible to confirm influence on job satisfaction by techno-overload.

Wahlgren, Sophia January 2019 (has links)
The fact that graphic designers need to use mediatechnology in their everyday work indicates that technostress can affect their professional practice. This study therefore aims how much technostress is experienced by graphic designers in the mediaindustry. The purpose of this thesis is to increase the overall understanding of how the technostress expresses itself through their communication and producing when they use their mediatechnology. To clarify what stresses graphic designers, the study will discuss which different stressfactor that can occur when they use their mediatechnology. The various stressors that can arise through mediatechnology is called techno creators. The study therefore intends to aim which techno creator that can occur or are the most experienced in their workprocess.Through qualitative interviews with five graphic designers in Malmö, the study has been conducted with an inductive approach. The empire and the theory have been analyzed with each other, and the research question has been answered in the result. The study points out that two out of five techno creators are experienced by five designers in Malmö.
