Van Niekerk, Annamarie January 2012 (has links)
Pre-school children often spend the most part of the day at a pre-primary school or a day care centre. Pre-school children sometimes make the first statement of sexual abuse to a pre-school teacher. Due to this phenomenon it is important that pre-school personnel are knowledgeable about basic information in connection with sexual abuse of the pre-school child and the reporting of the abuse. A positive attitude toward the protection of children against sexual abuse and the willingness to get involved in the reporting of sexual abuse or the suspicion there of, will guarantee that the best interest of the pre-school child is served. Die purpose of the research was to ascertain the knowledge and attitude of pre-school personnel toward sexual abuse of pre-school children and the reporting there of, to determine whether pre-school personnel act in the best interest of pre-school children. The research followed a quantitative approach. 13 Pre-primary schools took part in the research and 70 pre-school personnel completed the questionnaires. The questionnaires were completed in the participants own time. The findings clearly showed that pre-school personnel who were involved in the research did not have sufficient knowledge, nor a desirable attitude toward sexual abuse of the pre-school child and the reporting thereof. A need for training in this field can be concluded from the findings. / Thesis (MSW (Forensic))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2012

Projekt Trojský koník / Project Trojan Cockhorse

Pittnerová, Mariana January 2015 (has links)
Management of the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University considers opening a pre-school child care facility in a new seat of the faculty. The intention of this diploma work is to map and analyze legal forms of pre-school child care, needs of parents - employees and students of the faculty, and financial sources from which such facility could be funded; and then on the base of the analysis to design a solution suitable for the faculty. The solution has a form of a project plan, which, when approved, could be worked up and realized. Data needed for the project plan were gathered via analysis of documents, i.e. legal rules and web pages, and a questionnaire among employees and students of the faculty. According to the survey and in the case of available sufficient financial coverage, it would be ideal to establish at the faculty a facility with two children groups, each consisting of 15 children and a special children area of a 12 children capacity.

Our objective in the study is an experience with the formation of nursery school monitors that occurred in a course given during the period of 2003 to 2006 in a city of the State of S?o Paulo. The aim of our work is to reflect on the emancipative practices developed during this course from the perspective of the formation of nursery school professionals. After the theoretical explanation about the theme, we selected two axes that are fundamental for the work of pre-school child education: caring-educating and playing that in this study constitute the categories of analysis of the proposed theme. The methodology utilized was centered on documental references, the notebook of the registry of personal observations and the declarations of the monitors that were collected in different moments of the course. As a result we verified that emancipative practices point to innovative possibilities in the sphere of practices in the formation of pre-school child education professionals and indicate the need of implanting public policies that contemplate the demand for formation of this category that represents the educators of children from 0 to 6 years of age.

Horáková, Vendula January 2018 (has links)
Abstract The Master thesis "Developement of work on structure in kindergarten" aims to find out which structures are percieved well by the Czech child of the last year of pre-school and in which types of percieved structures there are difficulties and to characterize these difficulties. Qualitative research was used to achieve the goal. The thesis deals with two types of structures, one direction or simultaneusly two directions structure. The partial aim is to describe (on the basis of acquired data and experience) recommendations and offer in practice proven appropriate activities that would precede the activities in last year of pre- school eductaion. A series of tasks has been created to test how the child works with a regular rhythm structure in one and two directions. At the same time, I watched if it is easier for the child to fill in these worksheets or work with small 3D material in given directions. In addition to the observation method, interviews with children were conducted and data recordings were added to the analysis.

Grobler, Hermien 11 1900 (has links)
Text in Afrikaans / Summaries in English and Afrikaans / Die dood van 'n ouer he! / The death if a parent has an influence on the total life of a child and causes emotional trauma that necessitates therapeutic guidance. After the death of a parent, physical, emotional, social and cognitive changes occur in the child's life for which he is not prepared and that he also does not understand. These factors cause such a change in the child's life-world that his functioning is hampered. In this study it was endeavoured to determine what effect the death of a parent has on a child's life and to what extent therapeutic guidance can alleviate the child's emotional trauma. In this study it was found that mourning is indeed a complicated process that gives rise to countless unanswered questions, feelings of helplessness and emotional pain. Children suffering grief in mourning are often ignored by society and as result of this, they do not receive adequate assistance. This leads to problems concerned with the development of the personality, relational problems and intrapsychological problems such as a poor self-concept, ego defence mechanisms, personal vulnerability, negative ways of acquiring meaning and unfavourable ways of experiencing life. These problems give rise to the hampering of the child's selfactualisation and because of this he cannot realise his potential. The study has furthermore proved that the child who has lost a parent through death, can be helped by a psychologist. This can be done by means of therapeutic guidance so that the child can handle the loss of a parent to such an extent that the factors that hamper his self-actualisation can be removed. The study provides guidelines for therapeutic guidance to the child who has Jost a parent through death. Guidelines are given on handling the child's immediate situation, the evaluation of the child in mourning, the determination of aims and objectives for therapeutic guidance, the selection of therapeutic techniques, therapeutic assistance to the child, assistance to the remaining parent and assistance to the educator who is involved with the child in mourning. Guidelines are also given for the termination of therapy. / Educational Studies / D.Ed (Clinical Psychologist)
