: analyse sur deux corpus comparables de médecine thermale / Lexicon-grammar and Unitex : are they suitable for a bilingual terminological description? : analysis on two comparable corpora of thermal medecine

Cetro, Rosa 05 April 2013 (has links)
Established as ascience in the first half of 20th century, terminology is an interdisciplinary field takingadvantage of contributions from linguistics, logics, and informatics. This latter in particularhas allowed significant developments in terminology. Lexicon-grammar is an empirical method of linguistic description inspired by the works of Zellig S. Harris, which has been founded by the French linguist Maurice Gross at the end of the 1960s. Linguistic description has been carried out in parallel with the development of informatics tools able to formalise and exploit linguistic data, including the software Unitex (Paumier, 2002). Both lexicon-grammar and Unitex have an interesting, largely unexploited potential for further developments in terminology. In this work, we assess the contributions brought by lexicon-grammar and Unitex to a high-profile bilingual terminological description. After defining quality criteria for such terminological description, we carry out our evaluation on two comparable corpora specific of thermal medicine, both in French and in Italian

Mud therapy is the use of mud (sludge, clay and slime) for therapeutic purposes, which although widely used worldwide has its therapeutic mechanisms only partially understood, especially considering the different origins and compositions of the used materials. This study, unpublished in Brazil, aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a traditionally used mud known as Peruíbe Black Mud (PBM) in knee osteoarthritis treatment. For this evaluation, 41 individuals were treated with this mud for 15 weeks, 20 of them used the mud prepared in the traditional way and 21 the same mud sterilized by gamma radiation. It is assumed that the effect of mud therapy is related to the physico-chemical characteristics of the used peloid and for this reason characterizations were performed using X-ray fluorescence, neutron activation analysis, gamma spectrometry, elemental analysis, cooling kinetics and potential reduction. The evaluation of the therapeutic effect was given by subjective information through the WOMAC and SF-36 questionnaires and by objective information from the use of radiographs analyzed by the Kellgren and Lawrence scale. A manual of good practices for extraction, preparation, storage and use of this pellet has been proposed. The characteristics of the LNP did not differ from those of most studied muds, emphasizing that the concentration of the element sulphur was greater than in all the found ones. Regarding the clinical and radiographic results, the members of both groups presented a positive and statistically significant response with no difference between the groups, indicating that LNP was effective in the treatment of OA and that the use of gamma radiation did not alter the therapeutic response.

Social capital a determinant of local inter-organizational cooperations.Thermalism in Les Landes.

Ramon Dupuy, Sybille 19 October 2017 (has links)
This thesis provides a cross analysis of local inter-organizational cooperations (LIOC) and social capital, understood as accessible resources through professional relationships. For this purpose, we develop an analysis method that reconciles the characterization of professional social networks by the classification of actors and relations, with forms of cooperation revealed by a qualitative analysis. This method is applied to thermalism in Les Landes. This sector is strongly entrenched in the local mineral water resource and is characterized by the proximity of numerous public and private actors who question their cooperations in order to adapt to their evolving environment. The results indicate links between social capital owned by all private and public actors of thermalism in Les Landes and two kinds of LIOC. First, our analysis show that weak collective social capital hinders mixed (public-private) local governance. Second, our results suggest that difficulties of coopetition between geographically close private competitors may not only due to collective social capital, but they could be explained by other factors, particularly human factors.
