Hlobil, Lukáš January 2012 (has links)
This thesis describes implementation process of issue tracking systém in company Audatex Systems s.r.o. An analysis of company's processes has been performed and ideal state after implementation is proposed. The implemented system is going to be used not only for software defect tracking, but also for company's other needs like project management and internal communication. Output of company's analysis is a list of requirements for said system and a tender is performed -- along with setting up of test environments. Process of implementation and configuration is described along with experience from implementation proces. Each of shotlisted applications is configured for company's specific needs and is evaluated with an evaluation systém, that has been created for this specific tender. Situation after implementation is descibed in conclusion of this thesis. Main benefit of this thesis lies in comparision of applications and presenting their configurations for company's needs. Two free solutions are compared along with a comercial one. In conclusion this thesis answers a question, whether a comercial solution is really needed for this specific case.

Transition to NDC Standard Protocol in the business ecosystem of flight ticket distribution : A study to understand the current state of key actors’ transition from digital transformation maturity perspectives

Berg, Clara January 2024 (has links)
This study is about the transition to NDC standard protocol in the business ecosystem of flightticket distribution. The key actors included are airlines, travel agencies and content aggregators(system suppliers). The thesis analyses the current state of the transition to NDC done by thekey actors of the business ecosystem of flight ticket distribution with digital transformationmaturity perspectives, including dimensions, which are relevant for the transition. A conceptual framework has been created and includes six digital transformation maturityperspectives with attached dimensions that can impact the transition to NDC for the businessecosystem with the actors included in the scope of this thesis. The conceptual framework hasbeen created based on previous research on the topic of NDC and used as a foundation to createthe interview protocol and to structure and categorize the empirical results and analysis. The result of this thesis is a compilation of the answers to the interview protocol with tworespondents from two different airlines, three respondents from two different travel agenciesand two respondents from one content aggregator (system supplier). The result answers thequestion of how every organization is working with the different perspectives, and itsdimensions, of digital transformation maturity perspectives in their transition to NDC. Fromthe answers of the respondents, it has also been possible to identify central themes of the keyactors' work that was not originally part of the conceptual framework. The transition to NDC is an ongoing process and the different key actors are working with thedifferent perspectives, including the dimensions, in their transition to NDC. Based on theanswers from the respondent of this study, updates have been made to the conceptualframework to cover all the central themes of the key actors work with digital transformationmaturity perspectives and dimensions in their transition to NDC. The key actors are dependenton each other working with every perspective, and dimension, of the digital transformationmaturity perspectives and if the work with one perspective falls behind for one actor there areripple effects for the other key actors. Key words: NDC Standard Protocol, Flight ticket distribution, Business Ecosystem, Digitalmaturity, Airlines, Travel agency, GDS, Global distribution system

Split Ticket Voting Behavior: The 1998 Taipei City Mayoral Election

Hsu, Sheng-Mao Unknown Date (has links)
Split ticket voting by New Party identifiers and Mainlanders had a crucial influence on the outcome of the 1998 Taipei City mayoral election. Large numbers of voters who identified themselves as New Party supporters voted for the KMT mayoral candidate. However, in the concurrent Legislative Yuan and City Council elections, they voted for New Party candidates. Normally, an incumbent with extremely high approval ratings will win re-election easily, but in this case Chen Shui-bian lost the mayoral race. This surprising result is worth researching. This thesis uses face-to-face interview data collected after the 1998 election. To analyze split ticket voting behavior, we consider six different logit models. After controlling basic demographic variables, including sex, age, education, and ethnic background, it is possible to discover what influences split ticket voting. First, weakening party identification can induce a dealignment process. This, in turn, gives rise to split ticket voting. In the data, the intensity of party identification has an obvious effect on split ticket voting. However, there has been no dealignment. Thus, weakening party identification is not the main reason for split ticket voting. The second factor is ethnic background. Mainlanders, especially young and middle aged voters, are more likely to split their tickets. Third, the related questions of unification or independence and Taiwanese or Chinese identification also have influence. The effect of the unification/independence position is not significant, but the respondents’ ethnic identity is. A fourth finding is that there is no significant coattail effect influencing split ticket voting. Fifth, many voters wish to balance the parties against each other, and so they split their votes. However, this only holds for offices at the same level (mayor and city council) and not for different levels (local and national). Sixth, strategic voting by New Party supporters was very important. New Party supporters were very opposed to Chen Shui-bian, and the New Party nominee did not have much chance of winning. As a result, many split their votes, voting strategically for the KMT mayoral candidate. After examining the six models, we find that the most important factors influencing split ticket voting are ethnic background and strategic voting by New Party supporters. These two factors are intimately connected, of course.

Early Music Audiences: A Survey and Analysis of Early Music Consumers in Texas

Emanski, Julianna 08 1900 (has links)
Texas has a rich tradition of Early Music ensembles that dates back to 1969. However, there is little reliable information based on statistical data collection and analysis concerning Texas Early Music consumers. Little is known about why they attend Early Music performances or other important factors that affect the Early Music industry. Through the use of an extensive survey and accompanying statistical analysis, this study answers many questions regarding Early Music consumers in the State of Texas. This study collected demographic and psychographic data in January 2020 about the Early Music concert-going public in three major Texas cities - Dallas, Austin, and Houston. Other factors were identified in two primary areas: audience characteristics and ticket pricing practices.
