This diploma thesis is focused on detailed description of the hardware and software part of the created simulator and describes the realization of a control system, which verified the functionality of the simulator.

觸控產業行銷策略之探討-以台灣、大陸及日本觸控廠商為例

本研究以台灣、大陸及日本的觸控產業為主要的研究對象,依據邱志聖(2010)提出的4C策略行銷作為理論的架構,並依據AHP分析模式,將4C設定為目標構面,並同時展開評估準則,依據不同的對象-整體觸控產業、專業型觸控廠商、垂直整合型廠商及水平多角化廠商作出4C整體及個別交叉比較矩陣的分析,以分析出目標構面及評估準則的相對權重,以作為有效行銷策略的制定。  其中整體觸控產業及專業型觸控廠商在4C行銷構面的權重及一致性較高,行銷策略運用的順位(由大到小)分別為:道德危機成本(C3)、專屬陷入成本(C4)、單位效益成本(C1)以及資訊搜尋成本(C2)。 就個別廠商類型之行銷評估準則的權重分析來看,仁慈同理心、降低總生產成本及產品專屬資產都是相對權重比較高的項目。尤其是整體觸控產業、專業型觸控廠商和垂直整合型廠商都是將仁慈同理心列為最重要的行銷評估準則;而水平多角化廠商則是比較特殊的,將產品定位列為最重要的行銷評估準則。 另外,專業型觸控廠商相當重視信守合約的承諾及提升買方效益。重視信守合約的承諾主要是因為客戶對產品的規格要求很高,若是能承諾完全達到客戶的要求,或是超過客戶的期望,這對未來長期合作均有明顯的幫助。而提升買方效益則主要是以產品定位在高品質及技術領先的領導觸控廠商為主,這與降低總生產成本為主要行銷評估準則的成本導向的觸控廠商是完全不同的行銷策略。 垂直整合型廠商則是特別加強與客戶之間要建立有效人員專屬資產。因為此類型廠商主要是延伸既有LCD合作關係上,再逐次增加觸控面板的合作商機,因此建立在既有的高層主管之間的人員專屬資產是最有效的行銷策略。 而水平多角化廠商則是採取比較特殊的行銷評估準則,將產品定位列為最重要的行銷評估準則。強調可以整合現有客戶端的觸控既有的產品規格與水平多角化觸控廠商的產品作一定程度的結合,以建立廣義的產品專屬資產。 / This research to Taiwan, China and Japan of touch panel industry for research of object, according to Professsor Jyh-Shen Chiou (2010) proposed of 4C strategic marketing as theory of schema, and according to AHP analysis model, will analylze the object and criteria for marketing target, and while started assessment to different of touch panel industry including professional touch panel manufacturers, vertical integration manufacturer and horizontal diversification manufacturers to made 4C overall and the individual cross compared matrix of analysis together with the assessment guidelines of relative weight,  To serve as an effective marketing strategy formulation, overall touch panel industry and professional touch manufacturers in the higher weight and consistency of 4C marketing perspective, marketing strategies using the sequence (from large to small) are as follows: cost of moral hazard(C3), cost of specific asset(C4), unit cost/utility(C1), and cost of information search(C2). The weight of individual manufacturers guidelines for assessing types of marketing analysis, benevolence , reduce the total cost, and product specific asset are the highest weight of assessment criteria. Especially the whole touch panel industry recognizes benevolence as the most important assessment criteria level. Horizontal diversification manufacturers are quite special to keep product positioning as the most important marketing assessment criteria. In addition, the professional touch manufacturers attach considerable importance to honor its contractual commitments (can do) and increasing utility of the buyer. Attention to honor its contractual commitments is mainly because of the high customer specifications, to undertake to fully meet the customer's requirements or exceed our customers ' expectations, which had obvious help for future long-term cooperation. Vertical-integration manufacturers are particularly strengthened with customers to establish an effective personnel specific asset because this type of firms mainly extends on both LCD partnership, again increasing cooperation between the touch panel, a major marketing strategy can build on existing senior management staff between exclusive is the most effective. Horizontal diversification manufacturers are taking product positioning as the most important marketing assessment criteria to establish a broad product-specific assets.

高科技產業是目前台灣繼紡織工業、機械工業後引領台灣近三十年來產業發展的主流產業,其中又以ICT(Information & Communications Technology)產業是台灣高科技產業的代表。但高科技產業特徵是快速的變化,並不斷經過創新技術的發展,加劇其變化的速度,要有能力在高科技產業中持續發展,對市場趨勢、核心能力的掌握、新技術發展、人才養成、垂直整合能力、水平產業整合能力等皆需具備,才有機會在高科技產業中生存及發展。因此如何掌握企業本身的核心能力、檢視整體供應鏈價值,並提出適合之企業經營與競合策略,便是能否在高科技產業中持續發展的關鍵因素了。 觸控面板產業自2007年Apple正式推出iPhone後,觸控面板有了急速成長的開端。其中台灣在觸控面板的供應鏈中佔有超過50%的產值,是台灣在全球的又一個世界第一,值得期待,而本研究的主題”捲揚式真空濺鍍產業”正是觸控面板業中的關鍵材料製造技術。但在台灣創造另一個第一的同時,細部去分析此類產品供應鏈的成本結構,獲利最高的並非台灣廠商而是日本廠商,那麼如何提高台灣廠商在觸控面板產業的價值,答案就在如何洞悉產業及如合運用創新與競合的經營策略了。 / A high-tech industry is a mainstream industry. In Taiwan, the machinery industry is second only to the textile industry as the leading industry over three decades of industrial development. Within the machinery industry, the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry is representative of Taiwan's high-tech industry. However, the high-tech industry is characterised by rapid change, which results in the continuous development of innovative technologies. These changes enable companies to sustain technological development, grasp market trends, enhance core competencies, develop talent, gain vertical integration capability, and improve their chances of survival and growth in the high-technology industry. Therefore, the key to sustainable development of the high-tech industry lies in mastering the core competencies of the enterprise itself, considering the value of the overall supply chain, and adopting a suitable competition and cooperation strategy for the business. Since 2007, there has been significant growth in the touch panel industry with the official launch of the Apple iPhone. This study on the“winch vacuum sputtering industry”focuses on the Taiwan based touch panel supply chain, which is a world leader and accounts for 50% of national output value,to assess the key materials in manufacturing technology. However, establishing another successful industry in Taiwan requires additional data to analyse the cost structure of the supply chain of such products and requires assessing Japanese manufacturers in addition to the most profitable Taiwanese companies. Hence, insights from the business strategies of innovating/competing industries is likely to improve the value of Taiwanese touch panel manufacturers.

Electrical Analysis and Physical Mechanisms of Low-Temperature Polycrystalline-Silicon and Amorphous Metal-Oxide Thin Film Transistors for Next Generation Flat Panel Display Application

In order to meet the requests of the application as pixel switch and current driver in next generation active-matrix liquid crystal displays (AMLCD) and active-matrix organic light-emitting diodes (AMOLED). The materials of low temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) and metal-oxide are supposed to be the most potential material for active layer of thin-film transistors (TFTs) due to their high mobility compared to the traditional amorphous silicon TFTs. Therefore, in order to make the LTPS TFTs and metal-oxide TFTs affordable for the practical applications, the understanding of instability and reliability is critically important. In the first part, we studied the nonvolatile memory characteristics of polycrystalline-silicon thin-film-transistors (poly-Si TFTs) with a silicon-oxide-nitride-oxide-silicon (SONOS) structure. As the device was programmed, significant gate induced drain leakage current was observed due to the extra programmed electrons trapped in the nitride layer which. In order to suppress the leakage current and thereby avoid signal misidentification, we utilized band-to-band hot hole injection method to counteract programmed electrons and this method can exhibit good sustainability because the injected hot holes can remain in the nitride layer after repeated operations. On the other hand, we also investigated the degradation behavior of SONOS-TFT under off-state stress. After the electrical stress, the significant on-state degradation indicates that the interface states accompanied with hot-hole injection. Moreover, the ISE-TCAD simulation tool was utilized to model the degradation mechanism and analyze trap states distribution. Furthermore, we also performed the identical off-state stress for the device with different memory states. The different degradation behavior under different memory states is attributed to the different overlap region of injected holes and trap states. In the second part, the degradation mechanism of indium-gallium-zinc oxide (IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) caused by gate-bias stress performed in the dark and light illumination was investigated. The parallel threshold voltage indicates that charge trapping model dominates the degradation behavior under positive gate-bias stress. However, the degradation of negative gate bias stress is much slighter than the positive gate bias stress since the IGZO material is hard to induced hole inversion layer. In addition, the hole mobility is much lower than electron resulting in ignorable hole trapping effect. On the other hand, the identical positive and negative gate bias stress performed under light illumination exhibit opposite degradation behavior compared with dark stress. This degradation variation under dark and light illumination can be attributed to the effectively energy barrier variation of electron and hole trapping. Furthermore, to further investigate the light induced instability for IGZO TFTs, the device with and without a SiOx passivation were investigated under light illumination. The experiment results indicate that oxygen adsorption and desorption dominate the light induced instability for unpassivated device and the trap states caused during the passivation layer deposition process will induce apparent subthreshold photo-leakage current under light illumination. In the third part, we investigated the degradation mechanism of IGZO TFTs under hot-carrier and self-heating stress. Under hot-carrier stress, except the electron trapping induced positive Vt shift, an apparent on-current degradation behavior indicates that trap states creation. On the other hand, the identical hot-carrier stress performed in the asymmetric source/drain structure exhibits different degradation behavior compared with symmetric source/drain structure. For asymmetric structure, the strong electrical field in the I-shaped drain electrode will induce channel hot electron injection near the drain side and cause asymmetric threshold voltage degradation. In this part we also investigated the degradation behavior under self-heating stress. The apparent positive threshold voltage (Vt) shift and on-current degradation indicate that the combination of trap states generation and electron trapping effect occur during stress. The trap states generation is caused by the combination of Joule heating and the large vertical field. Moreover, the Joule heating generated by self-heating operation can enhance electron trapping effect and cause larger Vt shift in comparison with the gate-bias stress. Finally, the electrical properties and photo sensitivity of dual gate IGZO TFTs were investigated. The asymmetric electrical properties and photo sensitivity under top gate and bottom gate operation is attributed to the variation of gate control region. Furthermore, the obvious asymmetric photo sensitivity can be utilized to the In-cell touch panel technology and lower the process cost compared with the traditional a-Si TFTs due to the elimination of black matrix.

影響技術策略因子之研究 —以觸控面板業者為例 / Factors Affecting the Choice of Technological Strategies —The Cases of Touch Panel Firms

高科技產業變動迅速,產品生命週期短,產品價格隨著時間而快速下跌,技術演進速度快,一個公司能夠即時掌握到某一個世代的某一個關鍵技術,發展出關鍵的產品,就能得到數以倍計的獲利,然而今日的關鍵產品與技術,明日可能就成為落日黃花,在這種高度變動與競爭的環境下,僅有能持續採取最適化的技術策略以保持技術領先的高科技公司,才能真正的長期經營與獲利。 本研究之研究架構為外部因子與內部因子會影響各企業的技術策略,而技術策略則會再影響到企業中長期的營運績效,並以觸控面板公司為個案研究之。研究的結果發現: 一、 技術策略的確受到外部因子(外部技術環境與市場環境)以及內部因子(內部技術能力、技術來源、產品與研發策略、研發投資與資金、研發資源配置以及獲取及跟隨顧客未來需求之能力)的影響。 二、 採用不同的技術策略(前瞻者-急遽式創新、防禦者-急遽式創新及防禦者-漸進式創新),與往後的營運績效,有明顯的關連性。 綜合各個案於各不同時期之各項影響因子以及採取的技術策略,對應到相關的營運績效可發現,在既有的主流技術並無法滿足多數客戶的主要需求,且功能更佳的新技術尚未完全發展成熟、尚未標準化以及競爭者尚未採取此技術的情況下,加上資金足以負擔此新技術的研發與量產、可取得客戶的未來功能需求(或是潛在的功能需求)及有能力跟隨開發 、並可專注於單一領域之單一技術之單一產品上與客戶共同作長期之研發之情況下,適合採取前瞻者-急遽式創新的技術策略,此技術策略可帶來長期較佳的營運績效。此發現與本研究之研究架構一致。 / The high-tech industry changes rapidly. The life cycle of the product is short. The prices of the product fell rapidly with time. The technology evolution speed is rapid. If the company can immediately grasp a key technology and can develop the key products, the company can get a huge profit. However today's key products and technologies may become tomorrow’s useless products and technology. Only the kind of company that is able to continue to take the best technology strategies and maintain a leading position of technology can keep long-term business and profitability in this serious changeable and competitive environment. The research structure of this study is that the external factors and internal factors affect the technological strategies of each enterprise, and technological strategies will further affect long-term operation performance of the company. This study analyzed the cases of touch panel firms. The results are as below. 1. The technology strategies are indeed affected by external factors (external technology environment and market environment) and internal factors (internal technical capabilities, sources of technology, products and R&D strategy, R&D and capital investment, research and development resource allocation and the ability to obtain and follow the customer's future needs) effects. 2. The subsequent operation performance is indeed affected by taked different technical strategies (prospector - rapid innovation, defender - rapid innovation and defender - incremental innovation). 3. Comprehensive each case at all different times of the impact factors of technological strategy and to take corresponding to the relevant operation performance can be found the conclusion:The company take the technological strategy of prospector - rapid innovation can get long-term strategy and better operation performance in the condition of that the mainstream technology can not fully meet the needs of the major customers, and the new technology is not yet fully developed and standardized , and the competitor has not yet taken the technology , and has the sufficient funds to cover the development and production of this new technology, and can obtain customer’s future functional requirements (or potentially functional requirements), and focus on the single product of a single technology in a single field with customers for a long period of research and development. This finding is consistent with the research structure of this study.
