Obraz Jidáše Iškariotského v soudobém bádání a kulturních kontextech / The Picture of Judas Iscariot in Contemporary Research and Cultural Contexts.

Poláková, Alžběta January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis attempts to outline the image of Judas in a long-lasting tradition and follows the references of this character in canonical and non-canonical reports. It is an extension of the author's bachelor's thesis, which was dedicated to the analysis of biblical and Gnostic texts concerning the figure of Judas. For this reason, the author does not deal with a detailed analysis of these texts in this work and directly refers the reader to it (the work is available for inspection in the Repository of Final Theses of Charles University). The first chapters are devoted to reports from the Gospels and Paul's works, which the author serves primarily as a springboard for the introduction of various conceptions of the person of Judas, and which became the basis for the development of a tradition in the following centuries. In addition to canonical messages, the author encounters motives from non-canonical and apocryphal texts related to Judas, which have influenced the tradition of perception of one of Jesus' disciples to a similar extent. One of the subchapters is also devoted to the text of the Book of the Cock, which is not available in Czech, and to not very well-known topics that have not been very successful in the official church tradition. In the following chapters, the author identifies...

The data required for analysis, I obtained mainly through participant observation, interviews and analysis of material culture. My work is focused on the discovery of meanings which visitors attribute to "farmers". Further, the ways of communication of this meanings. Finally I reveal the actors who construct the ideas about farmers and the real market. On the creating of market participate not only organizers, vendors and visitors. I show that the time and context of the market, holding the tradition of vegetable markets, the place of performance, the size of hall, weather, seasonality and the possibility of electronic communication play the important role too.

Pojem tradice v kontextu teorie reflexivní modernizace / The Concept of Tradition in the Context of the Theory of Reflexive Modernization

Kondrátová, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis "The Concept of Tradition in the Context of the Theory of Reflexive Modernization" deals with the phenomenon of the tradition and its influence on the construction of the social order and the construction of individual biographies in the modern era. The thesis rests on the theory of reflexive modernization which is well- known in sociological theory thanks to Ulrich Beck and Anthony Giddens. The present reinterpretations of their papers quite often lead to the incorrect explanation of the current reality. Then, the reality is claimed to be detraditionalized. Using the concept of relativization I reject considering the actual state as the state without tradition. The aim of the concept of relativization, which is supported by the principle of sociological imagination, is to dispute this radical statement. The postulate of relativization is demonstrated on the example of the traditional social forms, such as nuclear family. In a wider perspective the aim of the thesis is to declare the continuing tendencies in social sciences to emphasize only the selected aspects of social reality.

The aim of this work is to answer the question of how Latin-American essayists consider the contribution of the indigenous heritage to the creation of national identity. Furthermore, the work aims to point out the differences in approach of the essayists and to emphasize specific elements of this process in their works. At the beginning, the thesis deals with the theoretical definition of the genre of essay which is primarily based on studies of Spanish and Latin-American critics. The main part is devoted to the analysis of six essayistic works where three different approaches to the relationship between cultures are evident. The harmonic conception is present in the work of the Mexican writer Alfonso Reyes. Reyes finds common features between the original (pre- Columbian) and the contemporary culture and observes a blending of these two units. In the case of Reyes' text, we can see an effort to find a harmony in the fusion of cultures, the European and indigenous tradition. In the second approach, the dramatic, there can be found two views....
