During the period of colonization the presence of Portuguese in Mozambique affected the Mozambicans’ life mainly the woman who suffered with racial discrimination and devalorization caused by a created image, it is wild and obscene. In face of this negative image, the Mozambican woman could fight through of resistance thought against this imposition. However, the feminine literary writing of Noémia de Sousa and Paulina Chiziane give voice to the Mozambican woman, valorizing and breaking this unreal image to put an end on the subalternity which empower her silence. Their texts, represents the woman like Mother-Africa, the mother of all Mozambican women. Finally, to analyse the Mozambican woman’s voice in post-colonial period and the aspects of the conquest of independence that influenced the post-modern identity like memory and national conscience. / Este trabalho destina-se a analisar a representação da voz da mulher moçambicana nas obras de Noémia de Sousa e Paulina Chiziane durante o período da dominação portuguesa que escravizou milhares de africanos implantando a inferiorização da raça negra e a supervalorização da raça e cultura branca, dita civilizada. Durante a colonização a presença portuguesa em Moçambique marcou a vida dos moçambicanos principalmente a da mulher que sofreu não só com a discriminação racial, mas também com a desvalorização devido a uma imagem criada, de ser apenas lúbrica e selvagem. Mesmo diante dessa imagem foi através da resistência que a mulher moçambicana pode lutar contra essa imposição. Assim, a literatura de escrita feminina das autoras Noémia de Sousa e Paulina Chiziane, dá voz à mulher moçambicana valorizando-a e desmistificando essa imagem que a desfigurava, pondo fim ao silenciamento imposto pela subalternização. Também representa e metaforiza a mesma como “Mãe África”, a mãe de todas as mulheres moçambicanas. Por fim, é visto a voz da mulher no período pós-colonial e os aspectos da conquista da independência que influenciam a construção da sua atual identidade, como a memória e a consciência nacional.

Esta tese tem por objetivo compreender como pessoas da zona rural angolana utilizaram-se das possibilidades de ascensão social institucionalizadas pelo Estatuto do Indigenato (1926-1961) para constituir-se numa elite letrada, de origem rural, em Luanda. A tese a qual defendo é a de que, em decorrência da maior presença de portugueses e angolanos vindos do interior, acentuou-se, na capital de Angola, uma cisão entre a cidade, representada em grande parte pelos portugueses, mas também pela elite letrada crioula, e o mato, cujos expoentes que mais se expressaram em forma de entrevistas, depoimentos e obras literárias foram os novos assimilados. Para entender essa história, utilizaram-se como fonte central as memórias (e esquecimentos) de angolanos que viveram em Luanda entre os anos 1926 e 1961 e que obtiveram o estatuto de assimilados. Tais memórias foram entendidas à luz da teoria de Paul Ricoeur (2007), em uma relação dialógica entre o eu (memória individual), os próximos (memória compartilhada com sua geração) e os outros (memória coletiva, social, pública). / This thesis aims to understand how Angolan interior we used the reduced opportunities for social advancement created by the Statute of Indigenato (1926-1961) to constitute themselves as a literate elite, assimilated, country of origin, within the capital of the colony, Luanda. The thesis which I argue is that due to the increased presence of Portuguese and Angolans from inside, deepened, the capital of Angola, a split between the \"city\", represented largely by the Portuguese, but also by literate elite Creole, and \"kill\", whose exponents that best expressed in the form of interviews, testimonies and literary works were the \"new assimilated.\" To understand this story we used as the central source memory (and forgetting) of Angolans in Luanda who lived between the years 1926 to 1961 and obtained the status of assimilates. Such memories were understood from Paul Ricoeur (2007), in a dialogical relationship between the self (individual memory), the next (memory shared with his generation) and others (collective memory, social, public) and are present in interviews, memoirs and literary works.

From this focus, we try to perceive the characteristics of the New protestant churches in the post-modern society; undestand the teenagers adehesions to those religions and perceive the practical implications of those adhesions to the daily routine of the young people and the society. This investigation is a tool torument to undestand the symbolic youth universe and, consequently, perceive the tendecies and constructions of the social imaginary. / O propósito deste trabalho é compreender o fenômeno Neopentecostal e sua abrangência no universo juvenil, no contexto da pós-modernidade. A partir deste enfoque geral, quer-se perceber as características das religiões neopentecostais na sociedade pós-moderna; compreender a adesão dos jovens às religiões neopentecostais e perceber quais as implicações práticas desta adesão no cotidiano do jovem e da sociedade. Esta investigação é um instrumento para compreender o universo simbólico juvenil e consequentemente perceber as tendências e construções do imaginário social.

Nesta dissertação nós propomos uma nova cosmologia relativística acelerada cujo conteúdo material é composto apenas por bárions e matéria escura fria. A não existência de uma componente de energia escura implica que nosso cenário é baseado numa redução do chamado setor escuro do universo. Neste modelo, o presente estágio acelerado é determinado pela pressão negativa descrevendo a produção de partículas de matéria escura fria induzida pelo campo gravitacional variável do universo. Para um universo espacialmente plano ($\\Omega _ + \\Omega _b = 1$), como previsto pela inflação, este tipo de cenário possui somente um parâmetro livre e a equação diferencial governando a evolução do fator de escala é exatamente a mesma do modelo $\\Lambda$CDM. Neste caso, encontramos que o parâmetro efetivo de densidade de matéria é $\\Omega_= 1 - \\alpha$, onde $\\alpha$ é um par\\^metro constante ligado à taxa de criação de matéria escura fria. Aplicando um teste estatístico $\\chi^2$ para os dados de Supernovas do tipo Ia (Union Sample 2008), limitamos os par\\^metros livres do modelo nos casos espacialmente plano e com curvatura. Em particular, encontramos que para o caso plano $\\alpha \\sim 0.71$, de forma que $\\Omega_ \\sim 0.29$, como tem sido inferido independentemente por lentes gravitacionais fracas, estrutura de grande escala, radiação cósmica de fundo e outras observações complementares. / In this dissertation we propose a new accelerating relativistic cosmology whose matter content is composed only by baryons and cold dark matter. The nonexistence of a dark energy component implies that our scenario is based on a reduction of the so-called dark sector of the Universe. The present accelerating stage in this model is powered by the negative pressure des\\-cribing the cold dark matter particle production induced by the variable gravitational field of the Universe. For a spatially flat universe ($\\Omega _ + \\Omega _b = 1$), as predicted by inflation, this kind of scenario has only one free parameter and the differential equation governing the evolution of the scale factor is exactly the same of the $\\Lambda$CDM model. In this case, we find that the effectively observed matter density parameter is $\\Omega_ = 1 - \\alpha$, where $\\alpha$ is a constant parameter related to the cold dark matter creation rate. By applying a $\\chi^2$ statistical test for Supernovae type Ia data (Union Sample 2008), we constrain the free parameters of the model for spatially flat and curved cases. In particular, to the flat case we find $\\alpha \\sim 0.71$, so that $\\Omega_ \\sim 0.29$, as independently inferred from weak gravitational lensing, large scale structure, cosmic background radiation, and other complementary observations.

A matéria não é uniformemente distribuída no Universo, mas é organizada em galáxias, aglomerados de galáxias e mesmo em superaglomerados de galáxias. Conseqüentemente, conforme a Relatividade Geral de Einstein, a curvatura do espaço-tempo não permanece constante indefinidamente, mas flutua. Nós mostramos aqui que, surpreendentemente, estas flutuações podem causar estabilização em trajetórias de fótons mesmo em modelos com curvatura negativa constante e topologia compacta, que se caracterizam por serem extremamente caóticas. Essa estocasticidade tem sido usada para explicar a homogeneidade pré-inflacionária, e o fato de que as flutuações na radiação cósmica de fundo são gaussianas, numa margem de 97%. Mostramos analítica e numericamente que flutuações randômicas na curvatura podem levar à estabilização estocástica de trajetórias de fótons. Também mostramos a analogia desse problema com a dinâmica do pêndulo invertido, e discutimos as conseqüências dessa estabilização para a gaussianidade das flutuações de temperatura da radiação cósmica de fundo. / Matter is not uniformly distributed in Universe but it is organized into galaxies, galaxies dusters and even superdusters of galaxies. Consequent1y, from the General Relativity of Einstein, the spatial curvature of the universe fluctuates. We show here that these fluctuations can cause stabilization of photon trajectories even in models with constant negative spatial curvature and compact topologies, which imply chaotic photonic dynamics. This has been put forward as an explanation of pre-inflationary homogeneity and to the fact that fluctuations in the cosmic microwave background are dose to gaussian. We show here analytically and numerically that random fluctuations in the curvature can lead to stochastic stabilization of photon trajectories. It is also discussed the analogy with the problem of the inverted pendulum dynamics, and the consequences for the gaussianity of temperature fluctuations of the Cosmic Microwave Background.

Dessa maneira, houve necessidade de ser feito um relato da descoberta da Homeopatia como doutrina médica, como chegou até nossa cultura e as implicações desse fato. A pesquisa mostra toda a polêmica que essa terapêutica tem criado em torno de si, mostrando detalhadamente os últimos 26 anos de lutas por sua legitimação, que culminaram na sua ‘implantação’ no serviço previdenciário do Estado. / This study is a historical account of the development of Homeopathy in this country. To set the stage for the above mentioned development, it was necessary to trace the origins of Homeopathy as a medical doctrine, its journey to become part of our culture, and the implications of this development. The study points out the controversy of this therapeutics, specially regarding its paradigm, viewing in more detail the events of the last 26 years of struggle for its legitimation, which resulted in the ‘implementation’ of Homeopathy as a State run social security benefit.

Começamos introduzindo e deduzindo as fórmulas necessárias partindo de primeiros princípios no capítulo 2. Em seguida, no capítulo 3, estudamos em detalhe Teorias Quânticas de Campos em de Sitter que contêm correntes de spin alto. Mostramos que a existência de correntes de spin alto - mesmo em teorias com interação - pode colocar mais vínculos na função de n-pontos, tornando a teoria assintoticamente gaussiana no futuro longínquo. Este resultado pode ser interpretado como o análogo do teorema de ColemanMandula para o espaço-tempo de de Sitter. O capítulo 4 é dedicado a modelos inflacionários conformes com o campo de Higgs fazendo o papel de Inflaton. Modelos com simetria de Weyl e com simetria SO(1, 1) para valores altos da energia são construídos. Verificamos quais as condições necessárias para que se obtenha um valor arbitrário para a razão escalar tensorial, parâmetro que mede a intensidade de ondas gravitacionais primordiais em um dado modelo. Introduzimos também um acoplamento diferente do valor conforme para a interação do campo escalar com o tensor de curvatura. Isto quebra a simetria de Weyl, mas verificamos que existe um forte atrator na direção da linha de Starobinsky. No último capítulo, aplicamos o efeito do ‘back reaction’ dos modos com comprimentos de onda longo (maiores que o raio de Hubble) em alguns modelos inflacionários e no cenário Ekpyrótico. Checamos se este efeito pode prevenir a inflação eterna nas regiões onde efeitos estocásticos são importantes nestes modelos. Alguns apêndices, com cálculos detalhados, são incluídos no final. / In this thesis the Theory of Cosmological Perturbations is reviewed and three original topics, that are part of this huge branch of theoretical cosmology, are presented. We start by reviewing and deducing the needed formulas from first principles in chapter 2. After it, in chapter 3, we study in detail Quantum Field Theories in de Sitter spacetime that contain Higher Spin currents. We show that the existence of Higher Spin currents - even in the interacting case - can put further constraints on the n-point function, making it asymptotically gaussian in the far future. This result can be interpreted as the analog of Coleman-Mandula theorem for de Sitter spacetime. Chapter 4 is devoted to conformal inflationary models with the Higgs field playing the role of the Inflaton field. We construct models with a Weyl symmetry and a SO(1, 1) symmetry at high energies. It is verified what are the conditions to get an arbitrary value for the tensor to scalar ratio, which measures the amplitude of primordial gravitational waves in a given model. Also, we introduce a coupling, different from the conformal one, for the scalar field and the curvature tensor. This breaks the Weyl symmetry but we verify that there is a strong attractor towards the Starobinsky line. In the last chapter, we apply the back-reaction effect of long wavelength modes (modes with wavelength bigger than the Hubble radius) in some inflationary models and in the Ekpyrotic scenario. We check if this effect could prevent eternal inflation in the region where stochastic effects are important for these models. Some appendices, with detailed calculations, are also included in the end.
