Biologický vliv antropogenních polutantů přítomných v recipientech komunálních odpadních vod

PHAM, Thai Giang January 2018 (has links)
Sewage treatment plant (STP) plays the important role to protect aquatic environment from anthropogenic pollution. However, recently, STP effluent discharge has been reported to contain a wide range of contaminants. Moreover, emerging contaminants such as PPCPs have been detected continuously. These compounds are commonly bioactive and their mode of action to non-target aquatic organism is unknown, especially, when they are present in a complex mixture. Therefore, concern about the effect of STP effluent on aquatic ecosystem has been raised. In this thesis, a wide range of emerging contaminants was measured with focus on pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) using polar organic chemical integrative samplers (POCISs) and mass-spectrometry approach. Two native organisms, common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and brown trout (Salmo trutta m. fario) which are representative to each receiving aquatic recipients (static water - Cezarka pond and running water - Zivny stream) were used as models to investigate the effect of STP effluent on aquatic organisms. In both recipients, STP effluent discharge changed the hydrochemical factors such as temperature and nutrients which consequently impact aquatic organisms. Wide range of PPCPs was detected in each type of recipients. 62 and 53 PPCPs were detected in Cezarka pond and Zivny stream; they belong to different groups such as antibiotic, psychoactive compound, hypertension drugs, illicit drugs and etc. The highest concentration of total PPCPs in Cezarka pond and Zivny were 14000 ng/POCIS and 3860 ng/POCIS which is 45 and 36-folds higher than in control areas, respectively. Due to the favor condition such as temperature and nutrient factor, fish from STP affected recipients grown faster than fish from the control sites. However, change of biomarkers suggests toxic signs in fish from both STP affected area. In fact, the increasing detoxifying processes were seen with elevation of CYP1A and CYP3A, reflecting the variation of total PPCPs concentrations in STP affected area. The endocrine disruption signs were investigated in fish from STP affected sites with elevation of vitellogenin concentration in blood plasma/ vitellogenin gene expression in hepatic tissue, irregular structure in gonad tissue, and postpone of spawning season. Despite ongoing natural reproduction, the effect on final spawning success was not sufficiently studied. Additionally, biochemical parameters reflecting stress condition (oxidative stress parameters) and internal equilibrium (blood biochemical and hematological parameters), also showed the disturbance of fish health which may be linked to pollutants from STP effluent. Moreover, the changes of microorganism composition were not only evident in lotic environment but also in intestine of fish from STP affected site. Elevation of total fat content but lower amount of omega-3 fatty acids were observed in muscle of fish from affected site. This finding suggests that further studies related to meat quality are needed. This thesis reflects the effect of STP effluent discharge to aquatic environment in a realistic condition. Although fish were externally in good condition at the end of the experiment, wide range of emerging pollutant compounds in water and changes of biochemical endpoint investigated in the two experiments suggest that more measures need to be applied to further reduce the pollutants from STP before discharged to natural condition.

FRAŇKOVÁ, Diana January 2010 (has links)
Dissertation work rainfall-drainage parameters on chosen river-basin Stropnice is dealing with measurement of drainage value of surface water on five specific profiles in the area of Horní Stropnice. The goal was discovery and analysis of information on the river-basin Bedřichovský, Pasecký and Váckový stream, Humenická dam and in closure profile at Tomkův mill in the years 2007 {--} 2010, where there were monitoring heights of water level. After substitution into discharge-rating curve were scoring flow rate for individual parts of river-basins and examination of influence Humenická dam on flow rate wave in the closure profile. Between the upper specific profiles of individual streams above Humenická dam and specific profile by the Tomkův mill there was not found any influence of Humenická dam on flow wave in the river basin of Stropnice.

Sledování radioaktivity tritia v toku Vltavy s ohledem na odpadní vody Jaderné elektrárny Temelín. / Estimation of Tritium Activity in the River Vltavawith Respect to the Liquid Wastes from the Nuclear Power Plant Temelin.

ŠKOPEK, Petr January 2007 (has links)
The main goal of this Thesis was to measure tritium activity in the Vltava River and in the vicinity of Temelín Nuclear Power Plant (hereinafter referred to as JETE) with the following objectives: Possibility to use the outlet of waste water damping unit (hereinafter referred to as VTOOV) as a control alerting system for nonstandard events in JETE, furthermore, monitoring of possible correlations between volume activity of tritium measured in VTOOV and activity above the limit value of the first quality class in selected sections of the Vltava River as well as comparison of the measured values with the results of other authors, and, finally, assessment of the relevance of the water quality estimated by the volume activity of tritium to the water quality according to other ingredients, i.e., stable isotopes of some metals and risk elements as well as general physical and chemical indicators. Theoretical part of the Thesis deals with radioactivity in general, activity of tritium, with regard to operation of nuclear plants, over the world and, especially, in the Czech Republic. The actual work consisted of collection of samples at predetermined places, preparation of these samples for measurement and measurement of tritium activity using scintillation spectrometer with liquid scintillator. Furthermore, basic chemical and physical properties of water, concentration of selected elements and also some anions were determined. The collected data were used for classification of waters from individual collection places into quality classes according to ČSN 75 7221. In all analyzed cases no activities were found which exceeded the limit values of liquid outlets from Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, given by regulations issued on waters by the District Health Office in Ceske Budejovice according to §8 of Act No. 138/73 Coll., in compliance with SÚJB requirements. This Thesis could be beneficial for possible utilization of VTOOV as a control alerting system for nonstandard events in JETE and also for assessment of impact of wastewaters from JETE on waters of the Vltava River.

Srovnání pitného režimu a konzumace alkoholu u středoškolské a učňovské mládeže / Comparison of the Drinking Regime and Alcohol Consumption of High School Students

NOVOTNÁ, Jitka January 2011 (has links)
My work deals with the problem of alcohol consumption of high school and apprentice students. The goal of my work was to find out what drinks youths prefer and how much of it they drink daily. The next goal was to find out the alcohol consumption of high school and apprentice students. In this research I evaluated how often youths drink alcohol, at what age they first drank it and what their opinion is about its effect on human health. In the theoretical part of this work I dealt with a better drinking regime, different kinds of beverages and I evaluated different alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages according to their effects on human health. I have described different examples of diseases that are caused by overconsumption of alcohol and those that people with alcohol addiction suffer from. For extra interest I have described the origin of different beverages. In the research part I dealt with the drinking regime of high school and apprentice students. I found out what sweet and sugar free beverages students and apprentices drink and how much they drink daily. It also deals with differences in alcohol consumption between students and apprentices, if boys drink more alcohol than girls and if smokers drink more alcohol than non- smokers. To obtain the results I used questionnaires and gave them to students at high schools and apprentices at vocational schools in České Budějovice. The results were processed in MS Excel. The research confirmed all expected hypothesis. The first confirmed hypothesis was that apprentices drink alcohol more often than high school students. The next confirmed hypothesis was that the above mentioned group does not follow a correct drinking regime. The third confirmed hypothesis was that boys drink alcohol more often than girls. The hypothesis that expected that students and apprentices who smoke drink alcohol more often was also confirmed. The last confirmed hypothesis was, that youths prefers beverages with a content of sugar more than water and sugar free tea.
