Dynamics of undeground water level in the Morava river alluvial area.

Basu, Soham January 2019 (has links)
Dynamics of underground water in floodplain forest in the Morava river alluvium in South Moravia is primarily dependent on hydrological conditions as main recipient of Morava, Kyjovka & Spářavka. Hydrological measures carried out in 2nd half of 20th century have caused a negative impact on this floodplain groundwater. Increasing climatic extremes (low precipitation, high evapotranspiration) caused decreasing moisture content in surface soil layers. The aim of the study was to evaluate the underground water dynamics of 2018 in model area of Mikulčice forest using GIS and compare the result with previous studies to get the long term trend of changing underground water and soil moisture regime. Results show that the underground water level dropped to more than 2m from the surface in the sand and gravel layer almost throughout the year which interrupted capillarity of the soil profile. The underground water dynamics in the vegetation period was only on average 0.75m which is almost flat. Soil moisture dropped to lower than hydrolimits of availability of water for plants in the vegetation period. Measured tree increment of main trees was very low and some trees are permanently in stress. Finishing of revitalization in this area with the aim of improving the negative situation is Important for future years.

Vyhodnocení účinnosti čistírny odpadních vod v Lipníku nad Bečvou

Masařová, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
The thesis "Evaluation of the effectiveness of the wastewater treatment plant in Lipník nad Bečvou" compares the effectiveness of wastewater treatment before and after the plant reconstruction. This work is comprised of the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part applies overview of the water law legislation, sewerage, types of wastewater and concrete methods of wastewater treatment. The practical part is focused on wastewater treatment in the city. Included is the transport of wastewater, description of treatment technology before and after plant reconstruction. Follows the graphical results of wastewater treatment plant load, analytic wastewater checks and effectiveness of the WTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) in years 2005 and 2015. The results show that the original wastewater treatment technology was, according to compliance with the emission standards, insufficient. For this reason, complete WTP reconstruction followed. From the current WTP results, it is evident that the hydraulic load is at 50 % average, but it is overloaded with the substance. Despite this fact, WTP maintains its high effectiveness in pollution elimination. The levels of pollution on the WTP output do not exceed the values of the emission standards and limits.

Hodnocení účinnosti čistírny odpadních vod v obci Bílovice nad Svitavou

Štěpánková, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis The Evaluation of the effectiveness of the the wastewater treatment plant in Bílovice nad Svitavou compares effectivity of wastewater treatment technology before reconstruction and after it. Literature search is focused on waste water. In this chapter are also described drainage buildings their concept and meaning. Very important part of the thesis is overview of water legislation and sewage contamination indicators and sludge index. Results part of the thesis contains description of Bílovice nad Svitavou municipality. Next chapter is description of the wastewater treatment plant before and after the reconstruction. In this chapter you can find information about sludge index. The most important chapter is an evaluation of results which contains graphical explanation of the level of dirty water. The original wastewater treatment plant was quite advanced but the reconstruction was necessary due to increasing population. The capacity was increased up from 1 250 to 7 750 equivalent residents. Current technology is designed to comply with actual needs of the city and microregion and it is prepared for its future enlargement. The wastewater treatment plant fulfill requirements for minimal concentration levels of pollution in waste water on the outflow to the recipient and does not exceed emission standarts.

Nedostatek zdravotně nezávadné vody v Africe: klíčový faktor vzniku epidemií cholery ve vybraných státech v okolí Velkých jezer

Neužilová, Veronika January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the problem of lack of safe water and other factors that cause cholera outbreaks in African Great Lakes Region. Thesis explores the history of the disease in selected area and differences in approaches of individual countries to its therapy and prevention. The theoretical part deals with lack of safe water in Africa and other infectious diseases caused by contaminated water. The diseases include also cholera, whose causes in African Great Lakes Region are analysed till 2006. Subsequently, in the years 2007-2016, specific cholera outbreaks are analysed in more details, its causes and preventive measures within the three selected countries in the region: Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya and Rwanda. It has been found that the elimination of cholera in this region may occur primarily by improving access to safe water and sanitation facilities, which in the case of Democratic Republic of the Congo will insist many years.

Syntetické vonné látky v odpadních vodách / Synthetic aromatic substances in wastewaters

Tylichová, Petra January 2011 (has links)
Synthetic fragrances are artificially synthetised organic compounds which are used as fragrant substances in assorted personal care products, perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, detergents, cleansing articles, etc. So-called musk compounds creates significant group of synthetic fragrances which are distinguished by specific fragrance reminiscent of musk. Recently great attention is devoted to musk compounds because they were proved in different units of environment. The aim of diploma thesis was determination of selected linear musk compounds (arocet, aroflorone, linalool 925, lilial, isoamyl salicylate) in real samples of waste water in the influent and effluent from the sewage treatment plant Brno-Modřice. At first optimization of selected method was performed and then this method was used for own determination. Analytes were extracted by solid phase microextraction (SPME) from sample. Method of gas chromatography with mass spectrometry was used for own analysis. The results were used for evaluation of efficiency of removing linear musk compounds from waste water.

Stavba v krajině - Winery / Architecture in Landscape – Winery

Balaščáková, Petra January 2017 (has links)
Winery as a materialization of wine making and wine consuming process is designed in the landscape of Strachotin, amongst the wineyard area. A huge water pond Vodne Dielo Nove Mlyny and the hillsde of Palava on the horizon become a crucial part of the whole concept. It´s goal is to sensitively set the building into the natural landscape and to connect the area with the existing wine roads that are crossing nearby. Another important aim is to concisely include the significance of a winery as a process of connecting people with each another and connecting of oneself with nature. The design is an architectural interpretation of the set goals.

Odstraňování vybraných léčiv z odpadních vod oxidačními procesy / Removal of selected medicines from waste water by oxidation processes

Úterský, Michal Unknown Date (has links)
A concept of removing of pharmaceuticals from a wastewater is become more important topic. Currently we can see the increasing consumption of pharmaceuticals worldwide and an increasing effective doses of pharmaceuticals due to the resistance of microorganisms. Generally, a medicine means an active substance or their mixtures. The medicine is used for positive influencing of human’s and animal’s health. Nevertheless, a long term presence of pharmaceuticals in the environment leads to chronic toxic aquatic organisms, possibilities of multiplication of multi-resistant pathogenic bacterial strains, deterioration of reproduction of animals and their endocrine system. My dissertation is focused on a removing of pharmaceuticals from the wastewater via advanced oxidation processes. Results of research showed that the advanced oxidation processes are able to reduce concentration of pharmaceuticals. Mainly priority of this problem is other cleaning level of the wastewater which flows away from urban WWTP to river. Wastewaters consist of large volume of pharmaceuticals due to excrements, urination and flushing of outdated pharmaceuticals. An efficiency of advanced oxidation processes on the removal selected types of pharmaceuticals is a part of practical selection of the dissertation.
