Soukromé sociální pojištění - Institucionálně-historická analýza / Institutional-historical analysis of early development of sickness insurance in the Czech lands at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century

Dvořák, Lukáš January 2007 (has links)
This text aims to identify the main features of development of sickness insurance in the Czech lands. In the second half of the 19th century new mutual benefit societies started to emerge -- similarly like in Great Britain and the United States, and in the same time in 1888 the compulsory workers sick insurance was introduced. In the first part, this work offers analytical framework for analysis of this development, especially the approach of the public choice school, the concept of cognitive hazard and of social capital. In second part, the author gives historical overview of the era, brief overview of the development of so-called Friendly societies in Great Britain and the United States and an analysis of compulsory workers sick insurance and voluntary societies in Bohemia. The analysis shows the role of interest groups (workers movement, employers, physicians etc.) that shaped the compulsory insurance in similar way as captured in the Anglo-Saxon experience. The push-through of the compulsory insurance strengthens their positions. The application of social capital and cognitive hazard concept reveals that the compulsory insurance could bring unintended cost in the long run by lowering a voluntary cooperation.

Cost-benefit analýza veřejných projektů / Cost-Benefit analysis of Public Projects

Paleček, Václav January 2010 (has links)
Public projects are still subject of heated discussions, especially with the respect to their efficiency that is usually not sufficient enough. In spite of existence of many ways how to increase their efficiency, it is readily possible to identify one fundamental criterion which is high-quality information for decision-making. It is important to deliver high-quality information to those who make decision in order to reduce wastage of the public funds on not efficient public projects. All substantial information about effects incurred by project's realization can be offered by the Cost-Benefit analysis. The Cost Benefit analysis should be prepared for each significant public project to prevent from realization of ineffective ones. It is essential to process each Cost-Benefit analysis in required qualitative level for making right decision. Purpose of this thesis is appraisal of usefulness of the Cost-Benefit analysis for specific purposes of the public sector and assessment of indexes used in the Analysis. In the thesis will be introduced public projects, related public sector and evaluation of public projects. Subsequently, the Cost-Benefit analysis itself will be presented as well as steps for processing high-quality Cost-Benefit analysis. The emphasis will be focused at discount rate and its determination, since I consider it as the critical issue of the Cost-Benefit analysis. A practical example of the Cost-Benefit analysis will be presented at the end of this thesis.

Morfologie a motilita spermií u astrildovitých pěvců rodu Lonchura / Sperm morphology and motility in estrildid finches of the genus Lonchura

Šárová, Markéta January 2021 (has links)
Sexual selection plays an important role in the evolution of animals. Today we already know that it takes place not only before copulation (precopulatory sexual selection), but also after copulation. This type of sexual selection is called postcopulatory sexual selection, and occurs mainly in promiscuous species, where females mate with multiple males. In this case, sperm competition occurs in the female reproductive tract. To increase the likelihood of their reproductive success, males began to develop surprisingly diverse sperm adaptations at the morphological, physiological, or behavioural levels. These adaptations often affect sperm velocity (motility), which is a key factor for successful egg fertilization. However, the result of reproductive success can also be influenced by females, who may prefer sperm with a certain phenotype in the process of cryptic female choice, and thus, for example, obtain better genes for offspring. In some species, females even can have the ability to sort and store sperm in specialized organs in which the sperms are nourished for some time, and then used to fertilize the egg. Even in this case, the storage of sperm is often affected by sperm morphology. Due to these mechanisms of postcopulatory sexual selection, sperm are under strong selection pressure, which can...

Návrh metodiky manažérského rozhodování v distribuci v evropském prostředí / PROPOSOL FOR A METHODOLOGY FOR MATERIÁL DECISION MAKING IN DISTRIBUTION IN THE EUROPEAN ENVIRONMENT

Kopčáni, Juraj January 2018 (has links)
At present, more and more demands are placed on the quality and the speed of transport of products and goods from manufacturers to suppliers and then to the end customer. This requires a lot of knowledge and experience in planning, purchasing, production and distribution. In all activities and at all levels of the organization, it is important to properly and timely to decide how to proceed in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction at minimum cost to the company. To ensure speed and quality of distribution, it is necessary to focus on the logistics of circulatory systems. This includes both information and communication flow, and the supply, storage, transport, handling and packaging. To ensure all these services efficiently, quickly and on time, it is advisable that the company has to have developed appropriate methodology for the given process. The main aim of the doctoral thesis is to design a methodology for management decisions in the distribution area. The properly chosen methodology of distribution can help to speed up the transport of the product from the supplier to the customer or from the manufacturer to the customer, but ultimately to reduce the overall distribution costs. When deciding on the choice of distribution channel, processes and knowledge of European legislation in relation to the logistics and transport management in the Czech Republic are also important. The data collection and processing, under which the analysis of the current situation was carried out, were the bases for the methodology design. In the further step, the basic criteria for selection of the companies that could make the distribution were set up. Subsequently, the weights of importance were assigned to the given criteria. In the final decision for the selection of the distribution company, methods of multi-criteria decision-making were used. The thesis was developed on the basis of theoretical research and practical experience in businesses in the solved area. Objectives to be achieved: The aim of the doctoral thesis is the methodology design of managerial decision making in the European distribution area in connection with the Czech Republic's infrastructure in implementing the legislative requirements of the European environment while respecting the principles of integration.
