Antické sklo na základě analýzy materiálu Národního muzea v Praze / Ancient glass: Conclusions Based on the Analysis of the Collection at the Prague National Museum

Svobodová, Helena January 2017 (has links)
The ancient glass collection of the National Museum has more than 200 completely intact and so far - beside few exceptions - unpublished vessels which encompass a wide chronological framework from the 5th century BC until the end of antiquity. The core of the collection is composed of mold-blown and free-blown glass. The analysis of the collection offers a view into the history of the ancient glass production; examples of all kinds of production methods can be found in it - from a corn-formed glass, through a glass made by sagging into a form, and up to a mold-blown and free-blown glass. A great number of various decoration techniques and styles used in antiquity are represented in the collection; also, it contains vessels from various places within the Roman Empire, as well as outside of it. The major part of the work comprises blown glass from the Roman imperial period (chapter four), both free-blown and mold-blown, and from this virtually half are unguentaria of various types. Almost all types of vessel produced in this period are found in this chapter. The vessels were ordered according to types - e.g. open shapes, closed shapes and in the framework of these types they are arranged further - according to other criteria which create other sub-groups - as for example forms without a foot or on a...

Perorální podání acipimoxu během fyzické zátěže způsobuje negativní zpětnovazebný mechanismus růstového hormonu na sekreci ghrelinu u pacientek s mentální bulimií a zdravých žen:Úloha lipolýzy / Acipimox during Short-Term Exercise Exerts A Negative Feedback of Growth Hormone on Ghrelin Secretion in Patients with Bulimia Nervosa and in Healthy Women: The Role of Lipolysis

Smitka, Kvido January 2011 (has links)
Title: Acipimox during Short-Term Exercise Exerts A Negative Feedback of Growth Hormone on Ghrelin Secretion in Patients with Bulimia Nervosa and in Healthy Women: The Role of Lipolysis Objective: Eating disorders, such as bulimia nervosa (BN) and anorexia nervosa (AN), are characterized by abnormal eating behavior. The main features of BN are binge-eating and inappropriate compensatory methods to prevent weight gain. The appetite-modulating peptide ghrelin is secreted by the stomach and shows a strong release of growth hormone (GH). A potential GH-ghrelin feedback loop between stomach and the pituitary has been recently reported. Acipimox (Aci), an analogue of nicotinic acid, inhibits lipolysis in adipose tissue (AT) and reduces plasma glycerol and free fatty acids (FFA) levels. Exercise and Aci are stimulators of GH secretion. We suppose that a negative feedback from increased GH levels during exercise may play a role in reducing plasma ghrelin levels. We surmised that altered baseline activity and exercise-induced activation of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) results in excessive stimulation of lipolysis associated with negative energy balance and may lead to abnormal AT metabolism in patients with BN. Disruption of the gut-brain-AT axis might be involved in the pathogenesis of BN. The...

Vztahy současného volného a užitého umění / The Relationships of Contemporary Fine and Applied Art

Smetana, Filip January 2012 (has links)
Diploma thesis deals with the relations between the contemporary free and applied art. It explores the possibilities of bidirectional permeation and trapping of these areas. In this thesis I´m trying to touch the border points between sculpture, painting, drawing and design Diploma work deals with the theme of the wall relief. I´m using conceptual principles and these principles are often unclear on the outside. by using the conceptual keys and contexts i´m trying to create the aesthetic quality of the artwork. In a practical thesisis i´m working with wall sculptures and folding picture. Art can often change their nature and their perceptions using a different composition, adjustment, or context with the surroundings. I´m working with possibilities of understanding to every single artistic element as part of a wider whole. This thesis consists of a wall relief sculptures. The composition components are all facing the wall, eventually. column. In this thesis combines the individual relief under a particular key.

Volná hra 2-4letých dětí v cizojazyčné mateřské škole / Free play of 2-4year old children in a foreign-language kindergarten

Masnerová, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on free play of children in pre-school facilities. Kindergarten is the place of early secondary socialization of the child and that's why one part of the diploma thesis is centred on this theme. The theoretical part helps for a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2-4 year old children and builds a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on one year's observation, monitors development of free play of a homogeneous group of children and finds how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. Another focus lies on comparing two separate groups of children in their free play - one group having long term experience with free play and one without such regular experience. The main method of the research is observation. The results of the research points to the importance of free play for a pre-school age child and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization.

Stanovení celkové antioxidační aktivity čajových nálevů vybraných druhů čajů / Determination of total antioxidation activity of tea pickles in selected sorts of tea

Bartošová, Jitka January 2009 (has links)
This thesis deals with the total antioxidant activity (TAA) evaluation of various sorts of tea (green, black, half-fermented, white, mate, rooibos and herbal) depending on the process and time of their treatment. The main emphasis is put on testing a new method of measuring the total antioxidant activity by flow coulometry. The results acquired by this method are compared to the results of the chemiluminescent Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) method which is a standard for measuring the total antioxidant capacity in various materials and raw materials. The work discusses the reasons for the differences in the values found by both methods.

EFFECT OF FLOW PARAMETERS OF WATER AND AIR ATOMIZED SPRAYS ON COOLING INTENSITY OF HOT SURFACES / EFFECT OF FLOW PARAMETERS OF WATER AND AIR ATOMIZED SPRAYS ON COOLING INTENSITY OF HOT SURFACES

Boháček, Jan January 2011 (has links)
Práce komplexně popisuje vodní a vodovzdušné chlazení pomocí metod CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) konkrétně s využitím software ANSYS FLUENT.

Analýza volných nukleových kyselin a její potenciální klinické využití. / Analysis of cell-free nucleic acids and its potential clinical application.

Pazourková, Eva January 2019 (has links)
This work presents the results ofour research of cell-free nucleic acids (cfNA). The first part shows changes in methylation patterns of immune response genes promoters that are detectable in plasma during the hemodialysis sessions and also differences in methylation between patients and healthy subjects. Alterations include genes that play their role in the regulation of hematopoiesis and these changes are in close relation with the need of anemia therapy. In the other plasma cfNA study we detected miRNA signatures in patients with acute myeloid leukemia at diagnosis (6 highly abundant miRNAs found) and in remission achieved after standard chemotherapy (trend to n01malization, lower levels ofthese miRNAs). Another part of work presents data from the study of potential non-invasive biomarker of bladder cancer. The amounts of cfDNA in urine are higher in patients than in healthy subjects and there were found 5 down-regulated miRNAs. Simultaneously it was established set of 30 miRNAs that are constantly present in urine supematants independently on sex, age and healthy status of subjects. The last part presents analysis ofcell-free fetal DNA. We analyzed differences between a new quantification method - droplet digital PCR and real-time PCR which is used routinely nowadays. Slightly more precise was...
