Vstup firmy na zahraniční trh / Company enters a foreign market

The aim of the diploma thesis was to describe the conditions of entry Holidays Czech Airlines the Icelandic market, specifically the establishing of direct air service from Prague to Keflavik. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which are devoted to both theoretical expectations for companies entering foreign markets, and practical sections. The general reasons which lead a company to expansion and the associated risks are described in the first chapter as well as the macroeconomic analysis of the market, the PESTEL analysis, which I used to analyze the Icelandic market. The second chapter discusses the various forms of entry the foreign markets and compares their advantages and shortcomings. The third chapter was related to the specific cooperation of airlines. The practical part of the thesis introduces companies HCA and IEX, focuses primarily on the evaluation of HCA Company based on the SWOT analysis. The following chapter is devoted to cooperation of mentioned companies. The final chapter evaluates the Icelandic market using the above mentioned PESTEL analysis.

Institucionální a politické prostředí a přímé zahraniční investice v tranzitivních ekonomikách

The main aim of the diploma thesis is to identify and quantify influence of institu-tional and political environment on inflows of foreign direct investment in transi-tion economies. The reference period is primarily between 2002 and 2012. The basic indicator of the institutional environment is the concept Governance Matters of World Bank. Regression and correlation analysis is used for quantifica-tion. Results of regression models for transition countries, due to the increasing empirical evidence supporting and generalization of conclusions, are compared with the results for Middle Income Countries. The discussion is divided into three parts. First the differences in influence of institutional environment on inflows of FDI in transition economies and OECD countries are analysed, then differences between the groups of post-socialist countries are evaluated and the third part is focused on importance of democratic and authoritarian regimes in the Balkans states and the former Soviet republics.

This thesis deals with evaluation of influence of investment incentives on development of regional unemployment in the Czech Republic and with proposal of recommendations related to utilization of investment incentives as an instrument for promoting employment and development of regions as well as for reduction of differences in economic activity of regions. Time series from 1998 to 2014 were used to solve the problem when regional unemployment was chosen as a dependent variable, for which econometric model was created using panel regression and including investment incentives. Results of testing show (prove) that investment incentives have positive and statistically significant influence on regional employment.

Vliv makroekonomických ukazatelů na export České republiky do vybraných států Evropské unie

The aim of this study is identification of the macroeconomic indicators, which have an influence on the Czech export to the states of the European Union, namely to Slovakia, Germany and Poland in the years 1999-2013. The partial aim is confirmation or rejection of the fact, that the economic growth in these states has an influence on the Czech export. The analysis is made due to multiple regression models for every state. This study is also focused on the economic crisis in the years 2008-2009 and the influence on the Czech export. Recommendations and suggestions are mentioned in the end of this study.

The aim of the thesis is to identify risk factors for internationalization process of small and medium-sized enterprises. The partial goal is to determine whether small and medium-sized enterprises perceive less risk when trading with neighboring countries and whether in internationalization process plays the role of psychic distance. Part of the thesis is to analyze the current state of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Part of the literature research discusses the theoretical aspects of relations between Russia and the European Union before and beyond the crisis in Ukraine. The analytical section within each chapter analyzes the basic indicators of the economic cooperation between the EU and Russia and describes the effects of economic sanctions on these economies. In the context of the proposal section are designed possible solutions and measures in the field of stabilisation of the economic relations.

U.S. Foreign Policy towards Cuba

The thesis is analysing the mutual relations of the United States and Cuba, and encapsulate the political development of Cuba as well as U.S., and the changes of the foreign policy of the United States towards Cuba, since 1898. The focus of the thesis is on how the U.S. foreign policy influenced the development of Cuba, the factors that have contributed to the shaping of Cuba-U.S. relations and the main historical events and laws that occurred between two countries. The differences between foreign policies of the American presidents and the policy of containment of communism will be taken into account, as well as the position of Cuban Americans in U.S. and public opinion on the U.S.-Cuba relations. The conclusion of the work will contain the discussion of an obtained results.

This diploma thesis describes the support of exports in the Czech Republic and the current state of the export policy. First section of the thesis includes a literature review that outlines the basic facts concerning the issue of foreign trade, it's statistics, degree of openness of the economy and commodity and territorial structure. In the chapter called 'export policy' it also lists state and private institutions and entities providing export support. The practical section discusses Export Strategy 2012 - 2020, its main objectives and visions and the basic pillars, which outline the individual project cards to the objectives of the strategy. Also detailed is the fulfilment of the Export Strategy for 2015 and the current problems in the Czech export market. Assessment of the problematic is to be found in the conclusion.

Statistická analýza výsledků zahraničního obchodu České republiky / Statistical analysis of foreign trade results in the Czech Republic

The thesis is focused on the development of the export and import of foreign trade of the Czech Republic in the years 2000 - 2014. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part of the analysis. The practical part examines the total foreign trade through the statistical analysis. The development of the foreign trade is positively influenced by the accession to the European Union and negatively influenced by the global crisis, which contributed to the decline of our economy. The changes of the timeline are compared through basic and chain indexes. The work is focused on the territorial structure in terms of continents and grouping of countries, which is defined by the Czech Statistical Office. Then the commodity structure includes the most important items, which are traded by our country. The work deals also with the foreign-trade relations with the most important partners of Czech Republic, which are the European Union, Germany, Slovakia, Poland and nowadays even China. By these partners it examines mainly their participation in the total trade of the Czech Republic, changes of individual years and commodity structure. Consequently to calculate the right trend function, and then the forecasts of imports and exports for the next two years. However, the foreign trade of the Czech Republic is influenced by many factors, especially the exchange rate, oil prices and others commodities, as well as the development of the European Union. So at the conclusion of the work are given perspectives and recommendations for future positive development of foreign trade together with an overall assessment of the work.
