The last took place juxtaposition between the Slovak and Czech Republic.

The thesis is focused on the design of the new heat source of the existing building. The first part deals with the heat sources and fuels used in the Czech Republic. The second part includes design of three variants of heat sources: gas boilers, cogeneration unit with the electric boilers and cogeneration unit with gas boilers. The individual variations are also evaluated in terms of user comfort, space requirements or economy of operation. The third part includes measurement and evaluation of internal environment of the dining hall.

The aim of the thesis is to introduce the basic photometric quantities and operating parameters of LED light sources, according to which the light sources are evaluated and compared. The thesis examines effects of high temperature and elevated stress on LED retrofits and a design of measurement methods to measure these influences. According to the proposed methods, nine samples of light sources were measured and compared to each other on a basis of the measurements. Comparison was made from the point of view of the energy as well as the quality of the produced light. The results were also compared to the parameters specified by the producers.

(32-UFCHAV) Abstract: The aim of this work is the development and characterization of experimental apparatus designed for study of expansion-cooled stable and unstable molecule species in near infrared region, as well as associated methodology. This device consists of discharge source of cold molecular radicals and a system for their spectroscopic analysis. The source and the spectroscopic part changes and upgrades are described in detail. Characterization of radical source and its methodology was done on the OH radical model. Changes in radical properties under different experimental conditions, such as stagnation pressure, used voltage and different geometries of both the nozzle and electrodes are measured. Methodology of spectroscopic analysis was carried out on methane molecule in unassigned part of spectra, so called icosad region. Ing. Andrey Shukurov, PhD, Department of Macromolecular Physics/Charles University Abstract: The PhD thesis aims at the investigation of nanostructures based on plasma polymers. The main attention is paid to the combination of a gas aggregation cluster source with plasma-assisted vapor phase deposition for the fabrication of metal-polymer nanocomposites with bactericidal potential. Copper nanoparticles were incorporated into a biocompatible matrix of plasma polymerized poly(ethylene oxide) (ppPEO). The efficiency of such nanocomposite against multi-drug resistant bacteria was demonstrated. It was found that the segmental dynamics of the plasma polymer significantly changed in the presence of nanoparticles as revealed by the measurements of the dynamic glass transition temperature. The nanoscale confinement crucially influences the non-fouling properties of poly(ethylene oxide).
