Carollo, Bráulio January 2002 (has links)

No Campo Interdisciplinar do Urbanismo

André Pereira da Costa 12 January 2022 (has links)
O clima político vivido no início do séc. / The political climate experienced at the beginning of the XXI century has been tumultuous and the denotation of material space and symbolic space has suffered the most accentuated epistemological and phenomenological dislocations in memory. Urbanism is stands for territorial organization and public space planning, an area of knowledge whose research component ends up adding a spectrum of interdisciplinary contributions in languages, sometimes of contextual allusion, sometimes of theoretical denotation, of spatial policies. The urban languages provide guidelines for the concrete, urbanism is characterized by a very linked practical function. Where political ideolog y finds means for social representation in space, something specific to the human condition emerges, conflict. Today, much of the uncertainty inherited by urbanism is being attributed to an explosion that affected everything that concerns society, culture, economy, science, politics, etc. and which is conceptualized in a polysemy of meanings attributed to the term (post)modernism. The greater the uncertainty surrounding the subject's field of interest, the more he is left to himself. It is in this spirit that the present thesis points the reflection less towards the contact with what is concrete about urbanism and more towards the sense from which urban languages are constituted. The type of knowledge that constitutes the moment of action on the territory, with its instruments of assessment, operationalization and strategy, is preceded by methodologies for interpreting the social space and assumptions about values, ideas, truths, etc. The objective of the thesis will be to explore the contours of what constitutes an autonomous attitude as an educational ideal, in a time where the denominations of autonomy are contested within the very intellectual traditions that conceived them. The exercise of cognitive mapping will be the strongest theme of this exploration. The nature of the task does not allow for the adoption of a unitary or constant methodology, since the interpretive method itself is a source of tension and will be being transformed as new ideas are approached and new knowledge is acquired. The modes of social production and reproduction are fed by constructions of meaning, understanding what we know and what we can know about society in space is to understand the collective imaginaries that we shape, that partially shape us and for which we are responsible.

Urbanisme i arquitectura pública a la ciutat romana de Pollentia (Alcúdia, Mallorca). Segles II aC – III dC

Vallori Márquez, Bartomeu 11 October 2012 (has links)
"Urbanism and public architecture in the Roman city of Pollentia (Alcúdia, Mallorca). 2nd century BC - 3rd century AD" The present study, brings together previous research and elaborates on the urbanism and the public architecture of Pollentia. Despite the fact that several buildings have been discovered since the 1950s, monographic studies on both public and domestic architecture are scarce. The chronology that this work embraces spans from the 2nd century BC to the 3rd century AD. The first part of this work is dedicated to the historical context that affects Pollentia, both from the point of view of ancient writings and archaeology, and historiography. The second part studies the topography of the coast with a proposal for the location of the Roman port. Afterwards, a review and new proposals for the urbanism of the city and its modulation are provided. The third part, which is the core of this thesis, analizes the public architecture, namely the Tuscan temple, Temple I, Temple I, and the small monuments in the Forum area. New architectural sequences, elevation proposals and datations, are provided. We can conclude that public architecture in Pollentia evolved according to political changes in the Roman state. A first phase reflecting Republican symbols is represented by the building of the Tuscan temple, interpreted as a Capitolium. Under the empire, Temple I, devoted probably to the Imperial cult, was built in the 1st century AD, respeting the old Republican cult held in the Capitolium. Later, Temple II reinforced the presence of Imperial cult in the city. The architectural and urban features of Pollentia correspond to a planned city with a high legal status, probably that of a colonia, from its beginnings in the first half of the 1st century BC.

El comerç a l'ordenament jurídic espanyol: l’ Urbanisme comercial i la sostenibilitat urbana

Rodriguez Beas, Marina 17 December 2013 (has links)
This thesis aims to study the legal system of internal trade in the Spanish legal system. Architecture et urbanisme en situation coloniale : le cas du Vietnam / Architecture and Urbanism in a Colonial Situation : the Case of Vietnam

Herbelin, Caroline 20 November 2010 (has links)
This dissertation aims to demonstrate how the history of architecture and town planning in Vietnam became enmeshed in the encounter of two cultures: that of the colonized and that of the colonizer. The goal is to first examine the diversity of cultural exchanges – both their manifestations and meanings – through the built environment, and then provide a critique of the idea equating architecture and colonial power. In order to consider the diversity and the complexity of the phenomenon at work, this dissertation identifies the conditions of production and use of the built environment. This study privileges three approaches. The first considers the actors and the circulation of knowledge so as to explore the construction and the reception of the different discourses and theories that enveloped hybrid architecture. The second approach takes into account the politics of administrating urban space by emphasizing the negotiations and the resistance to the colonial project of construction and enclosure. Finally the third part analyzes the articulations between social and technical issues, which reveal the mechanisms constitutive of this intercultural architecture.

Sandten, Cecile 21 October 2011 (has links) (PDF)
"Bombay is the future of urban civilization on the planet.
