Att planera och att ta tillfället i akt : En kvalitativ studie om didaktikens betydelse för undervisning i förskolan

The purpose of this study is to deepen the understanding of and describe how preschool teachers understand the concept of teaching, and what aspects of teaching they regard as important. The survey on which the results are based is a qualitative study that has been done by interviewing eight preschool teachers via semi-structured interviews. Didactic theory and concepts, in particular the didactic triangle, form the theoretical framework for this study. The results show that the respondents' description of how teaching in preschool can be staged and what is important for this correlates with what is illustrated by the didactic triangle. The results also show that the preschool teachers in the present study show the same ambivalence in using the concept of teaching as the Swedish Schools Inspectorate's (2018) survey shows. One of the reasons for this seems to be a notion that teaching is something that only teachers in the school pursue. One conclusion drawn from the analysis of the results implies that the teaching that the preschool teachers describe provides a broader understanding of what teaching in preschool can be and how it can be understood.
