Studien har sin bakgrund i ett nytt material som har börjat implementeras i förskolors verksamheter runt om i landet. Materialet heter NTA och handlar om teknik och de naturvetenskapliga ämnena. Syftet med denna studie är att få en inblick i förskollärares uppfattningar om NTA i förskolan. För att samla in data till studien har kvalitativa intervjuer använts. Studien vilar på tankar och åsikter från fem förskollärare på olika förskolor i Värmlands län. För att samla in och analysera materialet har den fenomenografiska metodansatsen använts. Resultatet visar att NTA är omtyckt hos förskollärarna där såväl de själva som barnen kommer i kontakt med nya begrepp. Förskollärarna beskriver att materialet är lättillgängligt där såväl läroplansmålen som nya kunskaper nås och utvecklas. Det beskrivs att NTA är ett roligt verktyg att arbeta med där materialet bjuder in barnen, vidare beskrivs hur arbetet med naturvetenskap och teknik förändrats sedan pedagogerna genomgått NTA-fortbildning. Slutsatsen är att en utbildning i NTA medför att förskollärare väljer att medvetandegöra naturvetenskap och teknik mer i förskolans verksamhet samt till att förskollärarna erövrar kunskaper och en självkänsla i att undervisa i ämnena. / The study has its background in the new material that has gradually begun to be implemented in preschool activities around the country. The material is called NTA and deals with natural science and technology. The purpose of this study is to gain insight into preschool teachers ́ perceptions of NTA in preschool. Qualitative interviews were used to collect data for the study and the study is based on thoughts and opinions from five preschool teachers ́ at different preschools in Värmland County. A phenomenographic approach has been used to collect and analyse the data. The results show that NTA is popular with preschool teachers ́, where both themselves and the children encounter new concepts. The preschool teachers ́ describe that the material is easily accessible where both the curriculum goals and new knowledge are reached and developed. It is described that NTA is a fun tool to work with where the material invites the children to explore. The result also shows how their work with science and technology has changed after they underwent in-service training and started to use NTA. The conclusion is that an education in NTA means that preschool teachers ́ choose to raise awareness of science and technology more in the preschools activities and that the preschool teachers ́ acquire knowledge and self-esteem in teaching the subjects.
