Denna studie har gått ut på att undersöka hur en användarguide med hjälp av teknikinformation i kombination med text och bild i samverkan kan utformas. Jag har arbetat utifrån teorierna läslighet, läsbarhet och läsvärde, teknikinformation samt text och bild i samverkan. Jag har även utfört en enkätundersökning för att skapa en användarguide som är anpassad utifrån målgruppens informationsbehov. Utifrån teorier och empiri utformande jag ett gestaltningsförslag på användarguiden. Jag utförde en utprovning på gestaltningsförslaget i syfte för att förbättra den slutgiltiga gestaltningen. Slutsatser som har dragits i arbetet är bland annat att ett aktivt språk engagerar och uppmanar användarna till handling samt att samverkan mellan text och bild minskar utbildningstiden och ökar retentionen. / The purpose of this study was to investigate how a user guide can be design using technical information in combination with words and images in collaboration. I have worked from theories of readability, legibility and reading value, technical information and words and images in collaboration. I have also conducted a survey to create a user guide tailored to the target group information needs. Based on theories and empirical theory, I design a prototype on the user guide. I tested the prototype with the aim of improving the final design. Conclusions drawn from this study are that an active language engages and urges users to act and that the interaction between text and images reduces training time and increase retention.
