O estudo discute a Bíblia como literatura e analisa sua proposta didático-pedagógica na formação da personalidade infantil. Busca alcançar sua proposta fazendo um resgate histórico da criança na sociedade ocidental e seu processo de construção dentro dos programas educativos, onde a literatura tem destacado papel como proposta pedagógica de formação. A literatura sempre teve influência na sociedade e para o mundo infantil é uma aliada necessária na construção da realidade por meio da representação simbólica discutida pela arte narrativa das histórias. A Bíblia é a literatura antiga mais lida na atualidade, atrai e prende os leitores por muitos motivos. Um livro tão complexo em sua estrutura pode servir de documento pedagógico de formação infantil. Sua beleza está no fato de ser ela um tecido de histórias, onde não existe uma linha muita nítida entre o sobrenatural e o natural. Deus é o Herói, que trava sua batalha contra os vilões. Deus é a possibilidade de resgate da vida. Por causa da personagem Deus o caos pode ser restabelecido e a harmonia voltar a reinar. A Bíblia, enfim, é isso, um tecido, onde Deus, anti-deuses, heróis, anti-heróis, vilões, monstros apocalípticos, caos, abismos, paraísos, infernos, dor, sofrimento, paz, harmonia, etc., dão ao narrador materiais suficientes para tecer histórias, onde Deus é sempre o Resgatador, o que possibilita a construção de uma realidade que conduz a uma vida segura. / The study discusses the Bible as literature and analyses its didactic and pedagogical proposal for making the child personality. It aims achieve its proposal through a historical redemption of the child in the western society and its construction process within the educational programs, where literature stands out, as pedagogical proposal for instruction. Literature has always influenced society and, for children, it is an allied required for constructing reality by symbolic representation discussed by the histories narrative art. The Bible is currently the oldest literature most read, and it attracts and catches readers for many reasons. Such a complex book may serve as pedagogic document of child education. Its beauty lies in the fact that it is a web of stories, where there is no clear line between supernatural and natural. God is the Hero, who fights against villains. God is the possibility of redeeming life. Because of the character God, chaos may be reestablished and harmony can start reigning again. The Bible is this, a web, where God, anti-gods, heroes, anti-heroes, apocalyptic monsters, chaos, abysms, heavens, hells, pain, suffering, peace, harmony etc., provide the narrator material enough to make stories, where God is always the Redeemer, which enables the construction of a reality leading to a safe life.
