I föreliggande studie har Malmö stads arbete för att minska buller och dess effekter granskats genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer med fyra berörda aktörer. Syftet var att få en inblick i arbetsprocesserna kring bullerbekämpning hos de olika aktörerna. Detta för att ytterligare kunna belysa förbättringspunkter som skulle kunna optimera processerna vidare. En analys där arbetet delades in i olika kategorier gjordes därför för att identifiera eventuella brister, som sedan diskuterades. Med hjälp av ett antal teorier - Urban ecology theory, public choice theory, Hannigan's typologi, Habermas teori om kommunikation och rationalitet samt Danermarks samverkansteori - kunde kunskapsspridning och politiska strategier definieras som viktiga områden att utveckla i det framtida arbetet för ett mer hälsosamt och hållbart Malmö. / This study examines efforts to reduce noise in Malmö. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with representatives from municipal offices and The Swedish Transport Administration. The purpose of this study was to understand and critically analyze the work process involved in noise control and reduction. Through this, it was possible to identify areas for improvement and how to optimize future work to reduce noise. In the analysis efforts to combat noise pollution were categorized and based on this categorization deficiences where identified and then discussed. With the help of a number of theories - Urban ecology theory, public choice theory, Hannigan's typology, Habermas theory on communication and rationality, and Danermarks theory on collaboration - dissemination of knowledge and policies could be defined as key areas to emphasize in future efforts to reduce noise and promote a healthier and more sustainable Malmö.
