Urbanisering och befolkningsökning är två faktorer till att traditionella logistikmodeller ställs inför utmaningar. Godstransporter har en avgörande roll för en stads ekonomiska liv samtidigt som de är en bidragande faktor till negativ miljöpåverkan. Samtidigt ställs allt högre krav på logistikkedjor att främja hållbar utveckling genom nya lagstiftningar. Kommuner kan bidra till hållbar utveckling genom innovationer i transportsystemen som kan leda till minskad miljöpåverkan. Kommuner har även möjlighet att genom offentlig upphandling påverka och ställa krav på sina leverantörer att arbeta mot en hållbar framtid. Genom att samordna sin distribution till verksamheter kan kommunen både minska miljöpåverkan och främja ekonomisk tillväxt. Syftet med denna studie är att studera samordnad varudistribution i Trelleborgs kommun som varit i drift sedan november 2020. Vi har med hjälp av intervjuer från de ytterst ansvariga för projektet samt observationer från omlastningsterminalen, lagt upp det empiriska materialet i studien. I den teoretiska referensramen fördjupar vi oss inom hållbara transportsystem och hur faktorer som infrastruktur, offentlig upphandling och säkerhetsaspekter kan inverka på systemen. Genom att analysera det empiriska materialet utifrån den teoretiska referensramen kom vi fram till att det är för tidigt att dra några slutsatser om klimatpåverkan har minskat och om projektet har kunnat främja den ekonomiska utvecklingen för kommunen. Däremot kan vi se en positiv utveckling då säkerheten runt verksamheterna i kommunen har ökat eftersom transporterna har minskat. Även logistiken har förbättrats genom ruttoptimering och ökad fyllnadsgrad på transporterna. Kommunen har även genom offentlig upphandling kunnat främja lokala företag som har lett till ökad ekonomisk tillväxt. / Urbanization and population growth are two factors that present challenges for the current transport system. Freight transport plays a crucial role in a city's economic life, while at the same time being a contributing factor to a negative environmental impact. At the same time all higher demands, through new legislation, are placed on logistics chains to promote sustainable development. The municipality will therefore be an important player in work towards sustainable development and can, through innovations in the transport systems, contribute to reduced environmental impact. In addition, the municipality can through public procurement, influence and make demands on their suppliers to work towards a sustainable future. By coordinating its distribution to businesses, the municipality can both reduce its environmental impact and promote economic growth.The purpose of this paper is to study coordinated goods distribution in the municipality of Trelleborg, which has only been in operation since November 2020. We have, with the help of interviews from those ultimately responsible for the project and observations from the transshipment terminal, put up the empirical material in the study. In the theoretical frame of reference, we delve into sustainable transport systems and how factors such as infrastructure, public procurement and safety aspects can influence the system. By analyzing the empirical material based on the theoretical frame of reference, we came to the conclusion that it is too early to draw any conclusions about whether the climate impact has decreased and whether the project has been able to promote economic development for the municipality. On the other hand, we can see a positive development as security around the operations in the municipality has increased because transport has decreased. Logistics has also been improved through route optimization and an increased degree of filling in the transports. The municipality has also been able to promote local companies through public procurement, which has led to increased economic growth.
