Smartklocksbaserad Badvakt

Gustavsson, Felix January 2018 (has links)
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the possibility of detecting if a child has fallen into a pool. To investigate this a system has been developed, using a smartwatch and smartphone. The system contains an algorithm to detect falls in water and two applications has been developed, one on the smartwatch and the other on the smartphone. The application on the smartwatch implements the algorithm to detect if a fall in water has occurred and communicates this with the smartphone. Utveckling av en mobilapplikation för schemaläggning : För sjuksköterskor och undersköterskor på närakuter / Development of a Mobile Application for Scheduling : For Nurses and Assistant Nurses in Local Emergency Wards

Chowdhury, Mishu, Yara, Kani January 2021 (has links)
Scheduling can be a time-consuming process; however, this can be facilitated by utilizing digital systems. In several local emergency wards in Stockholm, the scheduling of nurses and assistant nurses is still performed on paper, which results in administrative complications. The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to develop an Android mobile application that can replace the current scheduling system. The aim was to create an application that handles personnel scheduling and supports communication between the personnel. Using Android Studio an Android mobile application was developed that allows users to create scheduler and personnel accounts. Users with a scheduler account can create work shifts, select personnel for and remove personnel from the shift. Users with a personnel account can sign up for work shifts and receive a list of their upcoming shifts. The application provides the user with a weekly schedule which displays the created shifts and the personnel selected for the shifts. By using the application, users can communicate with each other through a chat function. The developed application, which meets the client's requirements, was tested and the feedback from the testing was positive. The application is still in the development stages and requires the addition of several functions to make it more customizable for the users. Future work involves developing an iOS-version and adjusting the application to utilize it in several local emergency wards. After these adjustments, the application can be distributed in Google Play and App Store.

Monitoring and Preventing Data Exfiltration in Android-hosted Unmanned Aircraft System Applications

Malik, Akshat 06 August 2019 (has links)
With the dominance of Android in the smartphone market, malware targeting Android users has increased over time. Android applications are now being used to control unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) making smartphones the storehouse for all the data that is generated by the UAS. This data can be sensitive in nature which puts the user at the risk of data exfiltration. As most Android-hosted UAS applications are proprietary software, their source code cannot be studied or modified. This thesis discusses an external monitoring system which is devised in order to assess the threat of data exfiltration. The system is further used to analyze the network behavior of the popular Android-hosted UAS application, DJI GO 4. Current methods to limit data exfiltration are discussed along with their limitations and are categorized based on the ease of deployment. Even though the Android framework provides a permission system which helps to limit the capabilities of an application, this security mechanism is coarse-grain in nature. The user either allows access to the required permissions or the application fails to function. Moreover, there is no system in place to provide finer control over the existing permissions that are granted to an application. This thesis proposes a fine-grain and application-specific access control mechanism based on system call interposition. The solution focuses on limiting the I/O operations of the target application without any framework or application modification. / Master of Science / Advances in smartphone technology has led major consumer and commercial unmanned aircraft system (UAS) manufacturers to provide users with the feature to fly the UAS using their smartphones. The UAS generate and store large amounts of data which may be sensitive in nature. This has led the U.S. Department of Defense to ban the use of all commercial off-the-shelf UAS due to the threat of data leakage. This thesis discusses an external monitoring system which maps the network behavior of an Android-hosted UAS application, along with the existing methods to limit data leakage. To overcome the limitations of existing techniques, a fine-grain and application-specific access control mechanism is proposed. The solution provides users with the ability to enforce custom security policies to safeguard their data.

Tutorials and Quiz Android application

Pakker, Sandeep Reddy January 1900 (has links)
Master of Science / Department of Computing and Information Sciences / Daniel A. Andresen / Tutorials and Quiz Android Mobile application is an application which gives you brief tutorials on various programming languages and technologies to the user who has installed this application. It gives video tutorials and training on different technologies. The mobile application also contains sample code, interview questions, and answers. This application also conducts a quiz to the user who is interested in a particular technology for checking their knowledge on the subject. It has different levels like Basic Level and Advanced Level quiz. This application conducts a quiz in the form of multiple choice questions. After the completion of the quiz the application generates reports based on the quiz conducted. The user can also test their knowledge on those technologies based on a timed quiz, we can include the above technology questions in this application. We can give a time frame for each question and all the questions are to be answered in that specified time period. Say for example we can give 20 seconds to answer a question. If the user gives an incorrect answer, will be exited out of the quiz.

Enhetsoberoende GUI av larmapplikation

Dahlström, Jesper January 2014 (has links)
The company Attendit have been developing the system product NetAlert™ since 2006.  NetAlert™ has clients for Android, Win 32, and iOS. The product is an alarm system for personal safety which uses a serverbackend with which all clients communicate through an encrypted socket in real-time. The goal of this project was to develop NetAlert™ further, to get a responsive and user-friendly interface that anyone can use, regardless of technical competence. The poll was conducted by means of a questionnaire that users answered. During the development stage, the survey has been in mind, to obtain an application that users find easy to use. Unfortunately, I did not have time to finish the application due there were many hours of troubleshooting, bug fixes and the such, so the time was not quite enough, but I conclude that my user interface is easy to use, visually appealing, and it is suitable for all age groups.

Matbudgetapplikation / Food budget application

Nogén, David, Jonsson, Jennifer January 2013 (has links)
Multiple new services such as “Mina utgifter” and “Smartbudget” show that there is an increased interest among consumers to plan their economy. Groceries represent a large part of the average households budget and is thereby an important thing that can make a large difference in every households economy. This thesis will examine the possibilities to compare food prices with help of an Android application and by taking pictures of the text on receipts. The text will then be processed and sorted to get the necessary data which later can be saved into a database. Premade algorithms and OCR-engines have been evaluated and implemented directly into the Android application by using so called C-Libraries. This makes it possible without major efforts to further develop the application for IOS or Windows Phone. This project and the Android application show the possibilities to use premade libraries and the phones camera to extract and save the necessary information that is relevant for consumers.
