[pt] Esta dissertação aborda o experimentalismo da artista Lygia Clark (1920- 1988), sobretudo a fase final de sua produção artística, a Estruturação do Self (1976-1988). Colocando história da arte e psicanálise em diálogo, buscou-se encontrar vestígios da mobilização de novas subjetividades e do exercício criativo a partir do trabalho corporal. Na primeira parte do trabalho, tratou-se do debate concreto-neoconcreto ocorrido nos anos 1960, através do estudo da obra e dos textos da própria artista. Buscou-se ainda estabelecer um inventário de suas investigações em direção à convocação do potencial poético do homem comum. Num segundo momento, a pesquisa procurou apresentar os mecanismos do sistema de arte nos quais trabalhos experimentais como os de Lygia Clark estão inseridos, discutindo a transformação do experimentalismo dos anos 1960/70 em arte experimental pelo circuito. Além disso, aborda-se o jogo de recusa e captura entre artistas e instituição de arte e a situação limite em que a obra da artista se coloca, tangenciando o campo da clínica. A terceira parte da dissertação dedica-se a analisar as políticas de subjetivação empreendidas pelo sistema capitalista e sua contrapartida manifesta nos processos de singularização de indivíduos ou grupos. Abordando a tensão entre as esferas pública e privada, a pesquisa procurou mostrar a relevância de ações localizadas e até individuais, atribuídas à economia do desejo, na rede de relações sociais, conferidas à economia política. É investigado, por fim, o potencial liberador encontrado na última fase experimental de Lygia Clark, a Estruturação do Self, que levaria o participante a um estar no mundo mais criativo diante da realidade objetiva. / [en] This dissertation examines the experimentalism of the brazilian artist Lygia Clark (1920-1988), especially in her final artistic phase, Structuring the Self (1976-1988). By bringing together art and psychoanalysis, I tried to find hints of the activation of new subjectivities and of the creative exercise, based on work with the body. The first part of this dissertation focuses on the debate between concrete and neoconcrete art which occurred in the 1960 s, as seen through the work and the texts of the artist. It also intends to establish an inventory of her investigations leading to invocation of the common man`s poetic potential. Following the first part, I attempt to present the mechanisms of the art system in which experimental works such as those of Lygia Clark are included, and I discuss the transformation of the 1960 s/70 s experimentalism in experimental art by the circuit. Besides, I approach the game of refusal and capture between artists and art institutions, as well as the borderline situation in which the Clark s work is located, as it enters the field of psychological clinic. The third part of this writing is dedicated to the analysis of the politics of subjectivation carried through in the capitalist system and the reaction manifested in the singularization processes of individuals or groups. Approaching the tension between the public and private spheres, I attempt to show the relevance of localized and even individual actions, attributed to the economy of desire, in the network of social relations, conferred upon political economy. Finally, I investigate the liberating potential found in the last experimental phase of Lygia Clark, The Structuring of the Self, that could lead the participant to a more creative being in the world, in the face of objective reality.

Esta dissertação tem por objetivo analisar a poética do quadrinho experimental, tendo como corpus principal a obra Building Stories, do quadrinista norte-americano Chris Ware. Building Stories é composto por quatorze impressos, de diferentes formatos e tamanhos. Não é apresentada uma ordem de leitura, permitindo ao leitor escolher seu caminho livremente (dentro das 87 bilhões de combinações possíveis). A primeira parte da pesquisa ocupa-se de fazer um recorte diacrônico que contextualize a obra de Ware, mostrando movimentos de ruptura do quadrinho norte-americano, a partir dos underground comix de 1960-70. Dentre as diversas vertentes surgidas do underground, destaca-se o alternativo ao qual pertencem nomes como Art Spiegelman, Richard McGuire e Chris Ware. A consideração das características do quadrinho alternativo permitem mostrar algumas das singularidades da narrativa gráfica experimental e como Ware se coloca em relação a essa produção. Se faz necessário também apresentar o trabalho de Ware, seu percurso como quadrinista e as características de sua criação, exploradas também nas histórias analisadas nesta dissertação. A segunda parte da pesquisa faz um recorte de duas das quatorze histórias contidas em Building Stories, para análise. A seleção visa apresentar a obra de Ware, mostrando narrativas gráficas que apresentam algumas de suas principais características e a poética dessas narrativas. As análises se utilizam (i) da teoria greimasiana sobre o texto, observando o percurso gerativo do sentido; (ii) a teoria dos sistemas semissimbólicos, a partir dos estudos de Jean-Marie Floch e Antonio Vicente Pietroforte sobre o texto sincrético dos quadrinhos e (iii) a teoria zilberbergiana, naquilo que concerne a missividade e o ritmo. Por meio da aplicação desses três modelos teóricos, busca-se fazer uma análise abrangente dos quadrinhos de Ware, mostrando a complexidade de suas narrativas, nas quais a estrutura formal do quadrinho faz uma proposta de leitura alternativa. A terceira parte, por fim, se debruça sobre a estrutura de Building Stories, estabelecendo um paralelo entre as múltiplas combinações possíveis de histórias e o conceito saussuriano de relação sintagmática. A subversão da leitura linear (presente nas narrativas gráficas convencionais) permite que se percorra o quadrinho por diversos caminhos, a partir de diferentes pontos de partida: a identidade dos personagens é construída a cada texto escolhido. / This dissertation aims to analyze the poetics of the experimental comic, presents as main corpus the oeuvre Building Stories, by North American comic author Chris Ware. Building Stories consists of fourteen prints, of different shapes and sizes. A reading order is not suggested, allowing the readers to freely choose their own path (within its 87 billion possible combinations). The first part of this research makes a diachronic clipping that contextualizes Wares work, presenting the rupture movements of American comics, starting from the underground comix of the 1960s and 70s. Among the varieties of non-mainstream comics that came after the underground, alternative comics are highlighted, featuring names such as Art Spiegelman, Richard McGuire and Chris Ware. A consideration of the characteristics of alternative comics shows some of the singularities of the experimental graphic narrative and how Wares comics stand in relation to this form of production. It is also necessary to present Wares work, his course as a comics author and the characteristics of his creations, explored also in the stories analyzed in this dissertation. The second part of the research selects two of the fourteen prints in Building Stories, for further analysis. The selection aims to present Wares oeuvre, showing graphic narratives that feature some of its characteristics and their poetic qualities. The analysis makes use of (i) the Greimasian theory of text, following the generative course of meaning; (ii) the theory of semi-symbolic systems, based on the studies of Jean-Marie Floch and Antonio Vicente Pietroforte on the syncretic text of comics and (iii) the Zilberbergian theory, in regards to missivity and rhythm. Through the application of these theoretical models, it is sought to make a comprehensive analysis of Wares comics, showing the formal complexity of his narratives, in which the formal structure of the comic proposes an alternative form of reading. The third part, lastly, focuses on the structure of Building Stories, establishing a parallel between its multiple possible combinations and the Saussurian concept of syntagmatic relation. The subversion of the linear reading (featured in conventional graphic narratives) allows the reader to follow different paths in the comic, from different starting points: the identity of its characters is constructed with each chosen text.

Esta tese estuda a teoria política de Roberto Mangabeira Unger. Parte da premissa de que a esquerda experimenta hoje o seu pior momento histórico desde quando emergiu como movimento político informada teoricamente pelas idéias de Karl Marx e Friedrich Engels. Uma das explicações a ser desenvolvida nela é a de que esta situação é resultado de uma compreensão equivocada de como se organizam e de como ocorrem as transformações estruturais nas sociedades modernas (Capítulo 1). Essa circunstância intelectual resultou no descuido e na fraqueza com que essa tradição política e intelectual lidou com a questão das instituições (Capítulo 2). Sustenta que a teoria política produzida por Roberto Mangabeira Unger, em especial o seu conceito de experimentalismo, é um esforço promissor, no interior do pensamento progressista, de abordar a temática das instituições em uma direção que ajuda a esquerda a renovar suas desgastadas energias (Capítulo 3). Conclui que, a despeito do capitalismo ter como característica principal a proliferação de profundas divisões de classes e enormes desigualdades e exclusões que incapacitam e humilham a maioria da humanidade, ele não é o maior problema das sociedades contemporâneas. O seu maior problema é a incapacidade de imaginar os instrumentos institucionais e práticos com que superar essa situação de bloqueio e injustiça. A separação entre a crítica e a imaginação programática transformou a primeira em protesto e denúncia impotentes, desperdiçando oportunidades, disseminando desesperança e cultivando frustração. / This thesis studies the political theory of Roberto Mangabeira Unger. It starts from the premise that the Left currently finds itself in its worst historical moment since the political movement that was informed by the ideas of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels first emerged. One of the explanations developed here is that this situation results from a mistaken comprehension of how structural transformations in modern societies occur (Chapter 1). These intellectual circumstances resulted from the carelessness with which this intellectual and political tradition dealt with the issue of institutions (Chapter 2). The thesis sustains that Unger´s political theory, especially his concept of experimentalism, is a promising effort in the interior of progressive thought to approach institutions in a way that can help the Left renew its exhausted energies (Chapter 3). It concludes that, although the main characteristic of capitalism is the proliferation of deep class divisions and enormous inequalities and exclusions that incapacitate and humiliate the majority of humanity, this economic system is not the main problem of contemporary societies. The main problem is the incapacity to imagine the institutional instruments and practices that might overcome this situation of stagnancy and injustice. The separation between criticism and programmatic imagination has transformed the first into innocuous protest and denunciation, wasting opportunities, disseminating despair and cultivating frustration.

Heavily influenced by the experimentalist educational philosophy of Dewey, took over the INEP, after the tragic death of air accident Murilo Braga, director of the agency, and has streamlined its functions under the national teaching, creating the Brazilian Center for Educational Research (CBPE) and the Magisterium Improvement Division (DAM). Professor Lucia Marques Pinheiro was responsible for organizing the courses offered to teachers, administrators, counselors and the education experts. The School Guatemala linked to INEP / CBPE / DAM, by a partnership between the city government of the Federal District (then Rio de Janeiro) with MEC began to represent as experimental body for the improvement of teaching. Courses were held in order to provide teachers access to new teaching methodologies, and to promote the teaching practice based on scientific studies in the social sciences. It was stimulating 'scientific spirit' within the teaching profession. In this sense, we ask: What is the legacy of this intellectual who served as Course Coordinator of INEP and as Director of DAM? How was given front role to courses whose aim was to spread the experimentalist pedagogical practice? The objective of this research is to investigate their history, their pedagogical conceptions and its management ahead of such significant institutions for teacher training in Brazil. The qualitative study methodology with the contributions of Cultural History and Political History chair this bibliographical research, documentary and history. It will try to study the printed books, journals, theses, dissertations and documentation files on the INEP, existing on the File Teixeira of the Center for Research and Contemporary History Documentation Brazil (CPDOC) / Get?lio Vargas Foundation (FGV ), the publications of INEP / Brazilian Center for Educational Research (CBPE), including the Journal of Pedagogical Studies and the Bulletin CBPE and remaining file CBPE, which is on the campus of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ ). Especially the personal files of Lucia Marques Pinheiro found on Brazilian Education Association (ABE), which we consulted and received permission to scan. This paper attempts to analyze policies against poverty undertaken by Spain within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy. These policies have been applied through mechanisms of governance mechanisms -specifically, the so-called democratic experimentalism- whose effectiveness and legitimacy is at least questionable. To this end, this paper tries to analyze, on one side, the European Semester, which coordinates these policies at an EU level. On the other, various Spanish documents that are part of this process and therefore allow us assess the levels of democratic effectiveness of this mechanism. / El presente trabajo trata de analizar las políticas contra la pobreza aplicadas por España en el marco de la estrategia Europa 2020. Estas políticas se han llevado a cabo mediante mecanismos de gobernanza -en concreto, el denominado experimentalismo democrático-, cuya efectividad y legitimidad están en entredicho. Para ello se analizará, de un lado, el Semestre Europeo, que coordina estas políticas a nivel de la UE. Del otro, distintos documentos españoles que se enmarcan en este proceso y que permiten evaluar los niveles de legitimidad democrática de este mecanismo.

O objetivo principal desta investigação teórica é refletir sobre a obra de Paulo Bruscky junto ao contexto sócio-histórico-cultural que influenciou o desenvolvimento da arte brasileira durante os períodos de atuação do artista pernambucano, que coincidiu com uma época de forte censura e repressão provenientes da ditadura militar que dominava o Brasil e outros países da América Latina. Além disso, também é analisada a constante busca de Paulo Bruscky por novos circuitos artísticos, nos quais o artista estabelece um posicionamento crítico e contestatório frente aos centros oficiais de arte, como museus e galerias. Também são consideradas obras de outros artistas cujos conceitos dialogam com as proposições estéticas de Bruscky, que realizou Livros de Artista, Intervenções Urbanas, Poesias Visuais, além de ser um dos pioneiros da Arte Postal na América Latina, utilizando em suas obras diferentes mídias que tomaram força no Brasil em meados de 1960, como xerox, off-set, vídeo, carimbos, entre outros, produzindo, dessa forma, trabalhos experimentais e multimidiáticos. Seu ateliê/arquivo, em Recife, guarda mais de setenta mil peças, entre documentos e trabalhos de arte, seus e de artistas com os quais Bruscky estabeleceu contato durante sua trajetória, como os grupos Gutai e Fluxus. Para viabilizar a realização desta pesquisa, foi utilizado como método de abordagem o analítico-sintético, e o método de procedimento bibliográfico e documental. Na documentação estão incluídos livros, documentos, obras, jornais, catálogos, revistas, páginas da internet e entrevistas. Este estudo se justifica, portanto, pela insuficiência de bibliografia sobre esse assunto, e pela importância desse artista no contexto contemporâneo da arte brasileira e internacional. / Salvador

The main problem is the incapacity to imagine the institutional instruments and practices that might overcome this situation of stagnancy and injustice. The separation between criticism and programmatic imagination has transformed the first into innocuous protest and denunciation, wasting opportunities, disseminating despair and cultivating frustration.

A presente dissertação analisa a relação entre direito e experimentalismo institucional por meio de um estudo sobre o surgimento de políticas públicas de capital semente no Brasil. A partir de uma pesquisa empírica sobre a colaboração público-privada na criação e execução de fundos públicos de investimentos em empresas nascentes do BNDES e do trabalho de Mario Schapiro, a pesquisa analisa os arranjos jurídicos que procedimentalizam canais de comunicação entre o Estado e os gestores privados e geram aprendizado institucional para revisão dos arranjos contratuais da política. Ainda, a dissertação apresenta uma resenha da literatura de experimentalismo democrático em especial, Roberto Mangabeira Unger e Charles Sabel e a utiliza para analisar criticamente os arranjos jurídicos dos fundos de capital semente do BNDES, que ainda não garantem formas de accountability e controle social das políticas públicas de capital de risco. Ao analisar a experiência do Fundo Criatec, a dissertação a identifica como um exemplo de inovação institucional do BNDES, dotada de flexibilidade e horizontalidade. Entretanto, conclui-se que tais políticas públicas estão distantes do modelo de experimentalismo democrático e que há novas questões para os juristas brasileiros. Sugere-se que o novo ativismo estatal brasileiro incita uma agenda de sociologia jurídica aplicada. / This dissertation examines the relationship between law and institutional experimentalism through a study of the emergence of seed capital public policies in Brazil. Based on an empirical research about the public-private collaboration in the creation and implementation of the Brazilian Development Banks public investment funds in emerging firms, and the studies of Mario Schapiro, the research examines the legal arrangements that proceduralizes channels of communication between the state and private managers, and generates institutional learning to the revision of the policys contractual arrangements. Still, the dissertation presents a review of the democratic experimentalism literature - in particular, Roberto Mangabeira Unger and Charles Sabel - and uses it to critically examine the legal arrangements of seed capital funds from the BNDES, which do not yet provide forms of accountability and social control on venture capital policies. By analyzing the experience of the Criatec Fund, the dissertation identifies it as an example of institutional innovation in the BNDES, endowed with flexibility and horizontality. However, the research shows that such policies are far from the democratic experimentalism model and that there are new issues for Brazilian legal scholars. Furthermore, it suggests that the new state activism in Brazil encourages an agenda of applied socio-legal studies

In this essay, Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy is analysed through a moral perspective, with a focus on experimentalism and rationalism as presented by Christopher W. Gowans. Furthermore, the application of the novel and its connection to morality in the EFL classroom is discussed, as well as the possibility of introducing fanfiction in the classroom. The main conclusion that could be drawn is that the same action could be either moral or immoral depending on one’s view of morality. The results also indicate that Rose choosing her duty to Lissa over her love for Dimitri was a morally correct decision though it the morality in her having to choose at all is questionable. Furthermore, the results illustrate that compulsion can be moral or immoral depending on why it is used and that it is difficult for the antagonist to be morally correct. It was also concluded that the novel can act as a buffer between the student and the real world and thereby be a starting point for moral discussions in the classroom.

Este trabalho parte da constatação de que existe um lugar em que a música experimental e a arte sonora brasileira se encontram: a gambiarra. Com o objetivo de conhecer as dimensões e fronteiras desse lugar, a jornada desta pesquisa está dividida em três momentos. O primeiro, \"Genealogia da gambiarra\", visa introduzir as características gerais da gambiarra, relacionando-a com aspectos culturais globais e locais. O segundo momento, \"Arte e gambiarra\", aborda a gambiarra por duas perspectivas: \"da arte\" e \"do som\". \"Da arte\" explica como o termo gambiarra deixa de ser uma expressão de uso exclusivo às soluções improvisadas do cotidiano para se tornar presente no fazer e pensar artístico brasileiro, em especial no campo da arte-mídia e midiativismo; \"do som\" ilustra uma série de técnicas e aspectos do experimentalismo sonoro que remetem ao modus opperandi da gambiarra. O terceiro capítulo, \"Artistas do sonoro\", apresenta o repertório que impulsionou a escrita desta tese, o qual torna evidente esse lugar comum entre música experimental e arte sonora brasileira. A jornada termina com a formulação de uma ferramenta de análise que busca evidenciar regimes do sonoro quanto ao uso de materiais e dispositivos técnicos / This work originates from the observation that there is a place in Brazilian society where music and sound art collide: the Gambiarra. In order to trace the dimensions and boundaries of this subject, the journey of this research is divided into three chapters. The first \"Gambiarra\'s genealogy\" introduces the concept and the characteristics of Gambiarra, relating it to global and local cultural aspects. The second \"Art and Gambiarra\" addresses two perspectives: art and sound. The \"art\" perspective explains how the term Gambiarra - which is normally related to the everyday improvisation of solutions from the lack of tools and materials - starts to be a reference in the Brazilian art field, particularly in those of media art and media activism from the beginning of 2000. The \"sound\" perspective illustrates techniques and aspects of experimentation in the field of sound which refers to Gambiarra\'s way. The third chapter, \"Artists\" presents the repertoire that drove the writing of this thesis, which shows the overlap between Brazilian experimental music and sound art. The journey ends by drawing an analytical scheme based on the use of materials and technical devices that allow us to look back at the repertoire from another perspective.
