Facebook社群人脈網絡與粉絲頁推薦之研究 / The Study of Recommendation on Social Connections and Fan Pages on Facebook

曾子洋, Tseng, Tzu Yang Unknown Date (has links)
Facebook is one of the most popular social websites in Taiwan, and it has over 13 million accounts with lots of user data. One can tell a user’s background and preference by his education, work experience, and preferred fan pages. If we direct the right user to the right fan pages by analyzing information and clustering users through recommendation or personal connections, we will be able to reach potential customers and to further business opportunities. The goal of this study is to complete an online system to assume collaborative fan page recommendation. Base on users’ education degree, work experience and preferred fan pages, users’ background. Then use the Kmeans algorithm to cluster quantified personal information to recommend fan pages and social relationships. Currently, the result of the experiment shows 10 clusters, which contain 4417 users, and we use it as a foundation of crossing recommendation. To prove the effect of this study, we divide study into two groups, an experimental group and control group. The former one represents recommended top 10 fan pages that include the fan page types with highest difference of percentage between user’s attributes and cluster centroid; the latter one represents top 10 fan pages that include the fan page types with highest difference of percentage between users’ attributes and proportion respectively. Finally, we use users score satisfaction for each group to compare. There are 68 pieces of feedback, and the average satisfaction scores of the experimental group and the control group are 0.5743 and 0.4268, respectively. On both a confidence level of 95% for t-test, the result shows there is more sufficient evidence to support the satisfaction of experimental group than the control group. We can prove accuracy for recommendation to achieve the goal in this study. This experiment determines not only the fan page recommendation based on user attributes on Facebook is meaningful and valuable, but also shows real data can be used in social networking studies. We hope the results of this study can lead other social networking studies to analyze with real users’ data in order to make future study on social networking better reflect real users’ behavior.

Utsugande köksfläktsystem : För passivhus / Kitchen exhaust fan system : For energy saving houses

Kjerling, Jonas, Blomberg, David January 2011 (has links)
Today houses are built more airtight to meet higher environmental standards, initiated by both consumers and politicians. When houses are built airtight it reduces air leakage through the building, which gives reduced energy consumption since almost all air is guided throw a heat exchanger. Since the new houses are very airtight it has caused extractor hoods to work improperly, because they need a lot of air. In this project a extractor hood system has been developed for passive houses, which are the most airtight houses on the market. The result was an extractor hood which is constantly getting air from outside the house. The air from outside is sucked into the house because of the vacuum created by the extractor hood, the air is injected into the hood and then sucked out together with the cooking odors. In order to minimize the energy consumption a weak extractor fan was used. To help the fan capture the cooking fumes, the hood is designed to use ejector- and coandaeffect. During the project a heat exchanger was also developed, which transfer the heat from the cooking odors to the air from the outside.

Fan Perception of Justice in Team Disciplinary Decisions

Gruchala, Lauren Cathryn 01 May 2009 (has links)
The present study examined procedural and distributive justice outcomes of discipline in an athletic team setting. A 2 (Consistency of Punishment: consistent vs. conditional) x 2 (Violation Severity: moderate vs. severe) x 2 (Punishment Severity: moderate vs. severe) x 2 (Decision Maker: head coach vs. team captains) factorial design was used. Participants responded to four of the 16 hypothetical scenarios resulting from the design. Participants included 354 fans in attendance at a several university athletic events and students in psychology courses. The results indicated that consistent punishment was perceived as more fair to the punished athlete, teammates, and fans than was conditional punishment. Consistent punishment was perceived as more likely than conditional punishment to deter future misconduct by the punished athlete and teammates. The findings of the importance of consistency to fairness perceptions are consistent with the organizational justice literature and suggest that principles derived in traditional organizations may apply in athletic team settings. However, the current study did not find that severe punishment was more likely than moderately severe punishment to deter future misconduct by the punished athlete and teammates, which was inconsistent with the research literature on punishment. The present research indicated that inconsistencies in applying punishment based on status likely will have a negative effect on fairness perceptions in an athletic setting just as it does in an organizational setting. Intercollegiate athletics are unique in the sense that there are many outside observers, most notably fans, who pay close attention to athlete misconduct and its subsequent outcome. According to the present results, if coaches are interested in fan perceptions of fairness, punishment should be consistently applied according to team rules for all players regardless of their status on the team.

Förslag till nytt utförande av fasta ställbara fläkthjul

Lindholm, Martin, Lundhag, Fredrik January 2008 (has links)
The diploma work is about producing some construction proposal for axial fans with fixed adjustable blades for FläktWoods. They are large industrial fans with a diameter between one and five meters. Which is used to, among other things, transport air to mines and for the cooling in power plants. It’s only some proposal that shall be produced and not a finished product, the purpose is mainly about giving the design engineers at FläktWoods a new way to look at the problem. There are two different parts that are under consideration, the way the blade is mounted to the impeller and the construction off a new impeller. The course of action is to from the discussion of the problem produce some proposals that will be evaluated, the best of the proposals will go on to the next step. The evaluation will be done with help of an assessment of solution variants and through discussions with the concerned parties. The next step is to produce some models with more details of the best proposals, this models will be the foundation for the force/stress analysis. The analysis shows where the highest stresses are located and where the weakest part of the proposals. Delimitations within the diploma work is that only a static force will be used during the analysis, and no dynamic force. Another delimitation is that during the force/stress analysis only a part of the fan will be examined, that corresponds to one fan blade that is mounted to a rigid part of the impeller. The result shows that there is only a few point and areas where the forces/stresses are to large in the proposals, for the used material.

Theoretical And Experimental Investigation On Centrifugal Fan With A Special Interest On Fan Noise

Bayraktar, Songul 01 December 2006 (has links) (PDF)
In this study, the effects of design parameters on the fan noise level are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. For the theoretical study, a computational aero- acoustic method is used to predict the flow induced noise of a fan. This method involves the coupling of a flow solver and a wave equation solver. Unsteady flow analysis is performed with URANS using FLUENT. Then the time dependent data are processed with LMS Sysnoise to compute the acoustic radiation. Experimental studies are performed to verify the theoretical results and additionally to investigate the effects of different design alternatives on noise level of the fan. The sound pressure and intensity level measurements are performed in the full anechoic room of Ar&ccedil / elik A.S. Research and Development Laboratories. The validation experiments indicate that there is a good agreement between numerical and experimental results. The experimental study with different fan designs gives information about the noise reduction possibilities.

Design Of An Axial Flow Fan For A Vertical Wind Tunnel For Paratroopers

Cevik, Fatih 01 December 2010 (has links) (PDF)
Free fall is one of the important phases of the operation performed by the Special Forces paratroopers. Also civilian parachutists are performing free fall as a sport by doing aerobatic maneuvers when they reach the terminal velocity during falling before opening their parachutes. Vertical wind tunnels are used for training the parachutists and paratroopers. It is safe, cheap and more convenient when compared to jumping out of an airplane. This thesis consists of aerodynamic design of closed circuit, double return vertical wind tunnel with a flight section that can accommodate four paratroopers, aerodynamic design of a rotor straightener configuration axial flow fan and running CFD analysis of the axial flow fan for different operating conditions by FLUENT software.

Conceptual Design, Testing And Manufacturing Of An Industrial Type Electro-hydraulic Vacuum Sweeper

Sahin, Emre 01 September 2011 (has links) (PDF)
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN, TESTING AND MANUFACTURING OF AN INDUSTRIAL TYPE ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC VACUUM SWEEPER SAHIN, Emre M.Sc., Department of Mechanical Engineering Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Kahraman ALBAYRAK Co-Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Bilgin KAFTANOGLU September 2011, 156 pages In this thesis, conceptual design, testing, development and manufacturing processes of the cleaning (elevator and fan system) and electro-hydraulic systems of an industrial type vacuum sweeper are presented. Thesis is financially supported by Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology (Turkey) and M&uuml / san A.S. (Makina &Uuml / retim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.) under the SAN-TEZ projects with numbers 00028.STZ.2007-1 and 00623.STZ.2010-1. The main purpose is to make critical design changes on existing fan system, designing a new elevator system and eventually obtaining efficient and powerful cleaning system. For design, Catia and SolidWorks softwares are used. Within the SAN-TEZ project, all CFD solutions were provided by Punto Engineering. Unlike many industrial type vacuum sweepers, new design will be electrically and electro-hydraulic controlled. All cleaning system of new &lsquo / M&Uuml / SAN Vacuum Sweeper&rsquo / will be activated by using hydraulic motors (traction system including hydraulic system is driven by the brushless DC electric motor as well) and the power of all these systems is supplied by batteries which are placed in the middle of the vehicle. Elevator and fan system can be considered as a group for a street sweeper for cleaning operations. Fan and elevator systems both gain an important place especially in cleaning operations due to lifting heavy and small particles from the ground. Fan system is used for sucking the small materials and dust by vacuum and elevator system is used to elevate heavier materials such stones, bottles, cans. Therefore, it is essential to design an efficient and powerful fan and elevator system for a street sweeper. The thesis work includes the design, development, supervision of manufacturing, simulation and testing of the cleaning (elevator and fan systems) and electro-hydraulic system of the street cleaners.

Heroes of the past, readers of the present, stories of the future : continuity, cultural memory, and historical revisionism in superhero comics

Friedenthal, Andrew J. 01 July 2014 (has links)
This dissertation is a study of cultural memory, exploring how superhero comic books, and their readers and creators, look back on and make sense of the past, as well as how they use that past in the creation of community and stories today. It is my contention that the superhero comics that exist as part of a long-standing "universe," particularly those published by DC and Marvel, are inextricably linked to a sense of cultural memory which defines both the organization of their fans and the history of their stories, and that cultural memory in comics takes the twinned forms of fandom and continuity. Comic book fandom, from its very inception, has been based around memories of past stories and recollections about favorite moments, creators, characters, etc. Because of this, as many of those fans have gone on to become creators themselves, the stories they have crafted reflect that continual obsession with the histories -- loosely termed "continuity" by creators, fans, and comic book scholars -- of these fictional universes. Often, this obsession translates into an engagement with actual events from the past. In many of these cases, as with much art and ephemera that is immersed in cultural memory, these fans-turned-creators combine their interest in looking at the history of the fictional universe with a working out of actual traumatic events. My case studies focus on superhero comic books that respond to such events, particularly World War II, the Vietnam War, and 9/11. / text

Stratigraphy and reservoir architecture of a Permian toe-of-slope ooid fan, Happy (Spraberry) Field, Garza Co., Texas

Clayton, Jason Lars 15 July 2011 (has links)
The Permian (Leonardian) aged Upper Spraberry Formation found in the Happy Field of Garza Co. TX, contains one of the best examples of a reservoir composed of resedimented carbonates in a deep-water slope-basin setting, with numerous whole core of wells with full suites of electric logs, high resolution 3D seismic coverage, and 20+ years worth of production data. Sequence stratrigraphic analysis from seismic data combined the lithologic analysis from outcrop analog, core, and well log data helps identify that the Happy Field is located within the transgressive systems tract of the fifth composite sequence in the Leonardian. The reservoir is composed of discrete allochthonous ooid and skeletal grains transported downslope via hyperconcentrated density flows sourced from a re-entrant in the shelf margin and deposited in a long-lived topographic depression at the toe-of-slope. Vertical heterogeneity due to layers of shaley silt punctuated by successive flows of oolitic and skeletal grains along with lateral heterogeneity created by younger flows of material create reservoir compartmentalization which can impede efficient development. Core-calibrated electric log correlations aids in the mapping of isolated compartments which helps with efficient development planning for the field. / text
