Jag har utvecklat en prototyp för en webbplats till Braskens Bro Servicecenter (BBS) ett mindre företag inombilverkstadsbranschen. BBS har under en längre tid haft planer på att starta en webbplats för att kunna marknadsföra sig ochförhoppningsvis kunna utöka sin kundkrets. Beslutet togs att inte bara göra en webbplats som fungerar som reklampelare utanäven försöka ge en utökad service för nya och befintliga kunder. Att utveckla en webbplats från grunden är ingen enkel uppgift. Det är många val som måste göras och många aspekter som skabeaktas. Denna rapport syftar till att ge läsaren en inblick i de beslut som togs vid utvecklingsarbetet, samt vilka problem dessabeslut var tänkta att lösa. Rapporten ger även en inblick i de funktioner som jag utvecklade specifikt just för att passa en mindrebilverkstad. När man arbetar med webbutveckling, liksom vid all programutveckling är det viktigt att noga tänka över vad somska uppnås med arbetet innan det påbörjas. Man måste specificera bl.a. vilka problem som ska lösas med arbetet, vadwebbplatsen ska innehålla och hur designen ska se ut. Att ha en tydlig specifikation med tydliga mål och krav underlättar arbetetväsentligt. Förutom design och funktionalitet beskriver rapporten även hur jag har arbetat med säkerheten på webbplatsen. Dettaär av stor vikt vid all webbutveckling men framför allt när man har dynamiskt innehåll på sidorna. Att inte skydda databasen kanfå förödande konsekvenser om man har en illasinnad besökare på webbplatsen. Arbetet resulterade i en webbplats med inte bara information om företaget och dess verksamhet utan även möjligheten att kunnaboka in tider för verkstadsbesök samt möjlighet att via webbplatsen kunna skicka in frågor om priser m.m. En möjlighet att kunnase sitt fordons aktuella status finns även implementerad. Ska man gå vidare med projektet och lägga ut det på nätet som Brasken Bro officiella hemsida krävs att man testar webbplatsenordentligt innan man lanserar den. Vidare kan det även bli aktuellt att designa om vissa delar av webbplatsens layout ochfunktionalitet utifrån den feedback som webbplatsens framtida användare framför.

This degree project is made for Cervera in Norrköping and Linköping. The task was to create a professional interactive homepage for the company where the company's range of products can be presented. Besides a homepage aimed towards potential customers, an online Internet-application where the company's employees can update, erase, and create posts that are stored in the database was created. The main programming languages have been PHP and HTML in combination with databases in MySQL. The final result was a functional, professional and informative homepage with a simple and pedagogical application for the employees. In this report the reader gets a detailed statement of the project.

Sedan år 2000 har XHTML tagit över från HTML som standard på webben. Detta examensarbete inriktar sig på att undersöka om den nya standarden har börjat användas på webben. Den frågeställning som gäller för arbetet är tredelad varav den första delen tar upp om det är XHTML eller HTML som används. Den andra frågeställningen ämnar kartlägga de anledningar som finns till varför XHTML inte används. Den tredje frågeställningen syftar till att ta reda på om XHTML är ett lika bra markeringsspråk som litteraturen säger. Undersökningen gjordes med intervjuer av företag som arbetar professionellt med att skapa webbapplikationer. Vid resultatet av undersökningen visade det sig att det fortfarande är HTML som används, delvis beroende på att dokument fortfarande kan visas på webben även om de är kodade i HTML. Det saknas dessutiom kunskap om XHTML och kunderna ställer inga krav på att XHTML ska användas.

Detta examensarbete har inriktats mot XML och dess användning på Internet. Frågeställningen lyder: "Kan underhållet av presenterad information på WWW förbättras eller förenklas med hjälp av XML för ett e-handelsföretag?" Det som förväntades av detta arbete är att se om XML kan ersätta HTML och underlätta för personalen vid uppdateringar av e-handelsplatsen. Bakgrunden till arbetet är att underhållet av en webbhandelsplats i dagens läge kräver mycket manuellt arbete och kostar mycket pengar. Går det att minska det manuella arbetet kan pengar sparas. Till grund för arbetet ligger en litteraturstudie. Kortfattat var resultatet följande: ·Kraven på serverprestanda kan sänkas m.h.a. XML. ·Tiden som läggs på uppdateringar av innehåll och utseende av webbplatser kan minskas. ·Kopplingen mellan befintligt affärssystem och webbhandelplats kan förenklas. ·Svaret på problemformuleringen är ja. XML ger ovan nämnda förbättringar och detta motiverar till att byta från ett HTML-baserat system till ett XML-baserat.

This report describes how we made a dynamic website combined with statical web pages and a web shop for the Swedish company Tyger & Ting. The employer Tyger & Ting wish to run a working web shop on their site but they want to keep their old system of updating pages with their old application from Intellyweb1, which creates statical HTML pages. The goal of this exam paper has been to learn to create a functional web shop with user friendly layout and appealing design and also to take orders and fulfill wishes from a real employer. The report is describing how Intellyweb’s application and its statical web pages has been implemented on a dynamic web page. The report does also describe how this site has been build and how the problems with the coding have been solved. The coding has been made with HTML, PHP and MySQL. CSS has also been used. The report will describe how management and storage of data in databases has been handled. Apart from the demands the employer has given us, a complete revamp of Tyger & Ting’s design has been made and the result of the exam paper is now a complete and working web site with additional web shop that supports static web pages. The website contains 20 dynamic and static pages coded in about 1900 rows of PHP and HTML. A database with five tables of varying size has been made to contain pictures and information about products, users and orders. There are a huge number of books and articles written in the field of usability and about the art of giving the user the opportunity to find the information he is trying to reach while browsing the website. The writers of these books are handling guidelines that are recommended to be followed, as well as describing their own views, ideas and theories of the subject. We found an interest to research the different possibilities, if any, to develop a website optimal for the user from a usability point of view. Another thing we noticed was that a need of a substantial guidance existed in website development aimed for recently started companies. New theories and rules regarding usability, which are seen as superior to the old ones and therefore replaces them, is not created that often. This is different from other IT related subjects. For example, when looking at components inside of a computer, performance and disk space is doubled in a matter of a two year time period. Graphical design is also a thing that is ageing relatively fast and becomes obsolete when a new and fresh design comes along. With usability theories on the other hand it is possible to read books written ten years ago and even though all of it might not be pertinent, you can still see the big picture and find things that still counts as Reliable and correct. What we have seen is that the general opinion thinks less of usability compared to graphical design. Looking at how many pages the usability section gets in an HTML-guide or the number of books at the library’s shelves, the graphical sections outnumber the usability ones. This report and the attached manual, which is created based on the results and questions answered throughout this report, bring the most essential usability theories to light. Subsequently they are analyzed and tied together in the latter parts of the report. The author Jacob Nielsen, which is one of the greatest usability experts in the world today, stands for a major part of what is written about the subject. we will look at different theories from Nielsen and also look at a master’s degree thesis by Fredrik Hansson (2006) which deals with a survey concerning the color of links. The report consists of two parts; the first part is mainly about the usability theories explained above while the other part contains a basic HTML-guide as well as a style sheet-guide (CSS). These two guides prepare the users who choose to use the attached manual to create their own sites. We mainly aim our work towards the entrepreneur who is about to or has just started his own business. The parts we focus on in this report are site design where write about site dimensions, site length and describe page headers and page footers. We also deal with implementation and typography suited for the web. Another thing we bring to light is usability on a deeper level. Not everybody knows exactly what the expression means and we try to bring clarity to it. The manual gives the user a description of building a website from start to finish. The basic idea is to give substantial information to the point where the users can go and create a site by themselves without any extensive prior knowledge. However, we recommend some computer knowledge. The result of this report and the part that is described in the result section is a presentation on how a site is created based on the rest of the report. It will give answers to how a site is built in order to be as useful as possible.

FLB Logistik i Gävle är en lagerfirma som arbetar med lagerhållning och logistik åt andra stora företag. FLB har idag en webbsida där deras kunder kan logga in och se saldo och produkter som de lagerhåller. Problemet är att denna webbsida saknar en ”orderläggningsmodul”, en funktion där deras kunder kan lägga beställningar på pallar som de vill ha utkörda. Beställningar görs idag via e-post eller telefon till anställda hos FLB Logistik, som i sin tur skriver in alla beställningar manuellt i ett system. En ”orderläggningsmodul” skulle underlätta arbetet både för företaget och för deras kunder. En prototyp skapades av en ”orderläggningsmodul” och testas av företaget och deras kunder. Denna prototyp byggs sedan skarpt av företagets systemutvecklare. Skapandet av prototypen görs med hjälp av HTML, CSS, JavaScript och PHP. En MySQL-databas används för att lagra information om beställningar, pallar, osv. Prototypen uppfyller alla de krav på funktioner som tagits fram tillsammans med företaget.

This report describes the development of a well–functioning and aesthetically appealing web portal and associated database for a company called Svensk Kredit & Försäkringsförmedling AB (Translated: Swedish Credit & Insurance intermediation AB). The portal will test customers' creditworthiness through another company called Business Check in Sweden AB. Administrators to the web portal have a special user interface to display all customers, to disburse the money to the customer and edit customer information. A super–user interface is available for administrators where they can change the information on all administrator accounts. Many aspects of security has been addressed because the web portal will handle personal information. The portal must also be protected against manipulation. It should not be possible for someone to manipulate the web portal. One example is the loan application form which uses a number of functions that control the input data against SQL–injection and inaccurate data. / Denna rapport beskriver uppbyggnaden av en väl fungerande och estetisk tilltalande webbportal med tillhörande databas till ett företag som heter Svensk Kredit & Försäkringsförmedling AB. Webbportalen ska testa kunders kreditvärdighet med hjälp av ett annat företag som heter Business Check i Sverige AB. Administratörerna till webbportalen har ett speciellt användargränssnitt för att kunna lista alla kunder, kunna betala ut lån och redigera kundinformation. Även ett superanvändargränssnitt finns tillgängligt för administratörerna där de kan ändra information om alla administratörskonton. Många aspekter inom säkerhet har diskuterats då webbportalen ska vara driftsäker och personuppgifter ska omhändertas. Webbportalen måste även vara skyddad för manipulation så inte användare ska kunna ändra webbportalens funktioner till sin fördel. Ett exempel på detta är låneansökningsformuläret som använder sig av ett flertal funktioner som kontrollerar de inmatade uppgifterna mot SQL–injektion och felaktiga uppgifter.

To guarantee the immediate and instant delivery of money transaction, it is essential to have a system that manages clients, agents and managers in one place. The objective of this project has been to study and develop an online remittance management system for a small business, that contains features to manage admins, agents, senders and beneficiarieswith different access level. The project user interface designed using bootstrap library and implemented on a popular PHP framework, Laravel. While the purpose of the project is to develop the system “Money Transfer Management System”, the evaluation process carried out based on user's privacy and security, functionality and usability test. The method used to solve the problem is the study and investigation of an initial set of requirement to identify the problem, application solution approach to divide the project into sub tasks, and application evaluation process to test and propose the result. On the other of technical side, object oriented programing technique in PHP, MySQL relational database, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript libraries used to solve the problem. The user of the system is able to create transactions with a unique reference id, pay out, cancel, edit and mange users data. The result of the study showed that, the system is secure against any injection or mass assignment attack.

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett tio veckors långt examensarbete med fokus på området sökmotoroptimering. Arbetet utgörs av en kombination av litteraturstudier och praktisk tillämpning. Syftet var att undersöka om det är möjligt att påverka en webbsidas ranking på Google positivt med enbart on page-metoder, det vill säga genom förändringar på den aktuella webbplatsen. Det praktiska arbetet har utförts på Rabble Communications AB, där fem av deras webbsidor utgör undersökningsobjekt. De teorier och riktlinjer som samlats in under litteraturstudien har applicerats på dessa sidor för att verifiera dess effektivitet samt för att se om det går att se resultat snabbare än vad tidigare forskning säger. Resultaten pekar på att det går att nå högre placeringar på Google genom enbart on page-metoder, dessutom inom tidsramen för detta examensarbete.
