Dílna čtení v mateřské škole jako podpora rozvoje čtenářské pregramotnosti / Workshop reading in kindergarten to support the development of pre-literacy

The thesis Reading Workshop in Kindergarten as a support for the development of reading literacy deals in the theoretical part with the characteristics of pre-school children and their capabilities. It further investigates the methods that could be used for and are essential for the development of reading literacy in the pre-school age and the role of the family in this respect. The theoretical part is concluded with the introduction of the scheme Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking mentioning its basic resources. It shows that the reading workshop methods are very efficient for the active learning of children. The practical part describes 7 reading workshops that have been implemented in a typical kindergarten and this is supplemented with detailed comments. The empirical part investigates the family environment of children and, as based on parents' observations, it evaluates the contribution of reading workshops to the development of reading literacy of pre- school children. Reading workshops proved to be beneficial especially in terms of the growing interest of children in reading and also in terms of children's creativity development. Concept of health education in kindergarten This thesis deals with the concept of a healthy lifestyle for preschool children and of health education in nursery schools. The first part of this work is the definition of "health" and individual determinants of health such as lifestyle, environment and health. The thesis deals with the various components of health education in kindergarten, the movement of children in kindergarten, nutrition, inner comfort and overall environment of the nursery school in the context of the Framework Curriculum for preschool education. The subject of research of this thesis is two-stage evaluation process and questionnaire, which is presented to teachers of kindergartens.

In the theoretical part, some basic terms are explained. Then, the personality of a teacher and the educational programme is put into the context. At the end of this part, the characteristics of content of the recommended curriculum of a preschool education is given. The practical part deals with the form of the project curriculum of preschool education, particularly with the educational program. Subsequent elements, such as content analysis and comprarison of the research sample, provide an outline of the educational prerequisites utilizable for creating the own pedagogical documentation.

Title: Healthy lifestyle in curriculum of preschool-age Goal: The aim of this thesis was to determinate an extent of attention to healthy lifestyle in curriculum of preschool-age children. Futhermore the thesis monitored an attitude of selected kindergarten towards issues of healthy lifestyle of children. Research: A quantitative (non-standardized questionnaire) and a qualitative (interview) method as the research method was used. Results: In conclusion, selected kindergarten pay sufficient attention to various parts of healthy lifestyle of preschool-age children. We discovered differences by Montessori kindergarten among the others. This thesis engages in the language acquistion of the mother tongue (czech) and the second language (English) in preschool age and discribes the development of child language competence in both languages based on available theories, results of illustrative research and one-year observation in kindergarten with bilingual education program. In the beginning, there are defined theories which engaged in past and engage today (from 20th century till the present day) in study of language acquisition. In addition of these theories we focus factors which influence on the language development of children and consideration even theory of children's linguistic picture of the world. We compare the development of language competence (phonetic-phonological, semantic, grammatical, communication, pragmatic and vocabulary) in first language (czech) which are defined in agreement with available theories with empirical discoveries which indicate the development of those competence in second language (English) and we discribe partial methodological processes.

In my Master Thesis, I am dealing with the issue of posponing child's school attendance with a special regard to the motives of parents leading to suspension. The Thesis is bothe theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is mapping the theme of suspended school attendance and socio-pedagogical aspects related to the decision making process leading to suspension. The empirical part offers selected examples of parents' motivation apllying for postponing of their child's education. My research is based on interview and questionnaire. I used available Czech materials as a source of expert information and I draw from the experience of my empirical research in the last chapter.

The aim of this Final Thesis is to characterize health in all relevant aspects essential for proper understanding of the relation between the "teacher and health". In the first part the author bring forward theoretical basis concerning the quality of health, subjective perception of health, behavior and health supportive life style, risk prevention in occupational safety and pre-professional preparation of teachers. The second part pursues collected data from 60 pedagogues in the questionnaires. The main intention of the empirical part was to reveal and describe the nature of perception of health in relation to the teacher occupation among preschool teachers; what do teachers assess as positive and negative regarding their health and which health problems are seen as obstruction to proper performance of the teacher occupation.

ANOTACE: Rodina je místem, kde dochází k prvním sociálním vztahům a vazbám. Každý jedinec, má potřebu kontaktů s jinými lidmi. Ještě před dovršením tří let věku dítěte roste v každém touha být ve společenství vrstevníků. Tyto první kontakty dítě zažívá v rodině se sourozenci a v mateřské škole. Sourozenecká skupina vymezuje osobnost jedince, má vliv na jeho osobnostní charakteristiky a chování. Vědomí sama sebe se buduje prostřednictvím vztahů k druhému. Jakou roli bude dítě v rodině mít, je spjato s mnoha faktory, kterými jsou: počet sourozenců v rodině, pořadí narození sourozenců, věkový rozdíl a pohlaví. Následně záleží na výchovném přístupu rodičů. Vstup dítěte do mateřské školy je velkou životní změnou pro dítě i pro celou rodinu. Aby vstup proběhl hladce, musí být dítě připraveno odloučit se od rodičů, zvykat si na nové prostředí, na společenství vrstevníků, najít si svou vlastní identitu. Jak proběhne vstup a adaptace do skupiny vrstevníků, záleží na stupni socializace předškolního dítěte. V diplomové práci se zabývám na základě poznatků z rozhovorů, dotazníků a pozorování porovnáním schopností a dovedností sourozeneckých dvojic při nástupu do mateřské školy. Ve výzkumu se soustřeďuji zejména na to, zda ovlivnilo adaptaci mladšího sourozence vědomí, že v mateřské škole má staršího sourozence a jakým...
