[pt] O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar o modo como se constitui o casal a partir da escolha amorosa, com base no enfoque psicanalítico. Nele, valorizamos os aspectos intrapsíquicos e intersubjetivos como condições constitutivas do sujeito. A formação do casal tem como base os investimentos narcísicos e libidinais que cada parceiro forma para si como representação vincular. É, então, no momento da escolha amorosa que se instaura a conjugalidade e que os inconscientes individuais dos parceiros são mobilizados, dando origem ao nascimento do casal. Portanto, nosso interesse neste trabalho sobre a formação do casal e a escolha amorosa é a centralidade dos anseios edípicos no conteúdo inconsciente do desejo erótico. Podemos, assim, dizer que no plano individual, a escolha do objeto sexual permite uma saída conveniente para o complexo de Édipo e a interdição do incesto. O estudo sobre a escolha amorosa valoriza a trama edípica que marca a história do sujeito na sua alteridade, inserindo-o no campo do outro. Do ponto de vista da psicanálise de casal, na constituição da conjugalidade coexistem duas subjetividades envolvidas, nos aspectos conscientes e inconscientes, formando uma estrutura dinâmica, cujo espaço psíquico forma o núcleo eu-casal. Este espaço compartilhado em que o casal se constitui é, portanto, continente e fonte de soluções inovadoras e criativas. / [en] The present study aims to investigate how a couple is constituted from the point of view of their love choice, based on the psychoanalytic approach. In the study, we value the intrapsychic and intersubjective aspects as constitutive conditions of the subject. The constitution of the couple is based on the narcissistic and libidinal investments that each partner establishes for himself/herself as a bonding representation. At the moment of the love choice conjugality is installed and the partners individuals unconscious are mobilized bringing forth the rising of the couple. Therefore, our interest in this work on the formation of the couple and the love choice is the central role of oedipal longings in the unconscious content of erotic desire. We can say that on the individual level, the choice of the sexual object allows a convenient solution to the Oedipal complex and the interdiction of incest. The study of the love choice values the Oedipal weft that marks the subject s history in its otherness, inserting it in the field of the other partner. From the couples psychoanalytic perspective, in the constitution of conjugality two subjectivities are involved, coexisting, in the conscious and the unconscious aspects, forming a dynamic structure, whose psychic place constitutes the I-couple nucleus. This shared place in which the couple is constituted is, therefore, the continent and source of innovative and creative solutions.

[pt] O presente estudo tem como objetivo a compreensão da escolha amorosa a partir da teoria psicanalítica. Partimos da hipótese de que as relações amorosas são, muitas vezes, repetições de certos padrões de comportamento da infância. As escolhas amorosas repetem essencialmente dois aspectos da formação do sujeito: a relação mãe/bebê e o Édipo. No entanto, isso ocorre de diversas formas a partir das histórias familiares de cada cônjuge. Cada sujeito, na sua singularidade, vai dar um destino para aquilo que lhe é transmitido. Mas, muitas vezes, é difícil escapar de algo que não foi representado nas gerações anteriores. O que não pôde ser revelado vai aparecer de alguma forma, ainda que disfarçado. / [en] The aim of this paper is to try to understand the love choice from the psychoanalytical point of view. We assume that loving relationships often repeat some patterns of childhood behavior, mainly the Oedipus and the mother/child relationship. Nevertheless, the choice occurs in different ways according to each partner`s family history. Each individual, with his own singularity, will give a destination to his heritage. Sometimes, however, it becomes difficult to run away from something that has not been expressed at preceding generations. Things that could not be revealed will somehow appear, even though disguised.

[pt] A presente dissertação teve como objetivo investigar as motivações envolvidas no processo de escolha amorosa na conjugalidade contemporânea. Está sendo apresentada em formato de dois artigos. No primeiro, analisou-se como as dimensões da individualidade e da conjugalidade repercutem na satisfação conjugal; no segundo, foram discutidos os resultados referentes às repercussões da família de origem na escolha do cônjuge. Participaram deste estudo oito sujeitos (quatro homens e quatro mulheres), com idades entre 22 e 49 anos, casados ou em união estável, coabitantes, há pelo menos dois anos, sem filhos, pertencentes às camadas médias da população carioca. Os sujeitos foram escolhidos de forma independente e são de primeiro casamento. Para a avaliação das entrevistas, foi utilizado o método de análise de conteúdo, em sua vertente categorial, tal como proposto por Bardin (2011). Da avaliação do material emergiram duas categorias de análise: escolha amorosa e satisfação conjugal. Constatou-se que a conjugalidade dos pais serve de modelo para o casamento dos filhos. Observou-se, também, que a valorização da liberdade individual, a vivência da intimidade conjugal, abarcando aspectos relativos à amizade e ao afeto, e a flexibilidade em lidar com as dimensões individuais e conjugais são promotoras de satisfação conjugal. / [en] The present dissertation aimed to investigate the motivations involved in the process of love choice in contemporary conjugality. It is being presented in the form of two articles. In the first one, we analyzed how the dimensions of individuality and conjugality affect marital satisfaction; in the second, the results concerning the repercussions of the family of origin in the choice of the spouse and in the conjugal interaction were discussed. A qualitative research was carried out, in which four men and four women, with ages between 22 and 49, married or in a stable union, for at least two years, without children, were interviewed. To analyze the data the content analysis method was used in its categorial aspect, as proposed by Bardin (2011). From the evaluation of the material two categories of analysis emerged: love choice and marital satisfaction. It was found out that the results point to the conjugality of the parents as a model for the marriage of the offsprings. The study also observes that the appreciation of individual freedom, the experience of conjugal intimacy and the flexibility to deal with individual and conjugal dimensions are promoters of conjugal satisfaction.
