A study approaching the application of the Kanban tool in the process of hospitalization in the pediatric medical department of a municipal public hospital unit. Its main goal is to elaborate the planning of application of the Kanban tool for the hospitalization process of a pediatric public unit. It also presents the following specific goals: to seek evidence about the use of the Kanban tool in the health area; to apply the Kanban tool in the hospitalization process in the pediatric public unit; to adapt the tool to the specificity of the hospitalization process in the pediatric public unit under study. This is a participatory, descriptive study with a qualitative approach about the adaptation and application of an administrative management tool known as Kanban. The results indicate that the introduction of an innovative administrative tool in a public health service requires the objective choice for local managers who have leadership and command power, are aggregators, flexible and have a deep knowledge of their team, since these are essential characteristics to project the Kanban application plan as a management tool in the daily activities of pediatric medical clinic professionals. We concluded that the adhesion of the multiprofessional team to the application of the tool in the hospitalization process is essential, with active participation of the key sectors of the unit and integral support of the management. In this process, the link created between the researcher and the participants favors the exchange of knowledge regarding the investigated situation, so they can develop actions to solve interferences and find the best way to implement and apply the tool in their daily activities together. The Kanban tool, when applied to the pediatric medical clinic, is capable of reaching beyond bedside management, it also facilitates decision making on an established treatment or diagnosis, reduces the patients’ time in the unit, helps in the reduction of costs and allows the creation of specific indicators for pediatric area

RACIOCÍNIO BASEADO EM CASOS PARA GERENCIAMENTO COLABORATIVO DE RISCOS / CASE-BASED REASONING FOR COLLABORATIVE RISK MANAGEMENTMachado, Nielsen Luiz Rechia 24 March 2015 (has links)
Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / In a collaborative risk management scenario, project stakeholders often need natural forms of
recording and reusing past risk management experiences so that they could better assess whether there
are threats to the goals of new projects. The contribution of this dissertation is to propose an enhanced
case-based reasoning (CBR) approach to support project participants to exploit such experiences,
which are here expressed as collaborative risk management discussion cases. In this context,
collaborative risk discussion of software project can be carried out by a existing risk discussion system
(SEVERO, POZZEBON, et al., 2013), where such dialogues follow a communication protocol
(SEVERO, FONTOURA, et al., 2013) e argumentation schemes (REED e WALTON, 2007). This
research aims to propose an enhanced case-based reasoning approach, which is structured through
traditional factual attributes in combination with argumentation attributes. Furthermore, different
forms of CBR queries are exploited, such queries are based on facts and arguments so that past risk
discussion cases could be retrieved from a case base. Finally, CBR explanation techniques, in
particular case-based explanation templates, are exploited, allowing users from this risk discussion
system a better understanding of how and why the most similar cases to a given query may be relevant
to the solution of found problems in current risk discussions. To demonstrate the practical utility of
this approach, a case study involving the collaborative experience-based risk management of a
software project is discussed, as well as the results of an experiment conducted which show positive
evidence for the acceptance and applicability of the approach in the solution of current problems of
collaborative risk management by using past experiences.

Application to a French value chain of production and distribution of pork meatPetit, Gaëlle 11 December 2017 (has links)
It is now necessary for an agrifood value chain to set-up and develop a coherent sustainability strategy for its various stakeholders and to communicate on the efforts made towards citizens and consumers, in demand for more and more sustainable products. To go beyond the first existing initiatives (specifications, labels, etc.), and effectively increase both their sustainable performance and the perceived quality of their offer, considering new management tools, built jointly between upstream and downstream can be a solution. However, the actors in these chains, with different interests and cultures, have individual visions of sustainability. Therefore, if they want to cooperate in order to improve the sustainable performance of their value chain, they should meet a minimum level of satisfaction for each of them. This work aims to propose new standardized and interoperable management tools for food value chains so that the actors can co-create shared sustainable value and move towards new modes of governance. The experimental context is French pork value chains, whose actors maintain contractual relations and have already tackled joint work on the sustainability of certain products. A first contribution focuses on reflection to build a metric to evaluate the sustainable performance of food value chains. The three following cases are dealing with the possibilities for actors in a food value chain to cooperate on common solutions for sustainability improvement. Contrasted alternative scenarios are compared between them and the results are confronted with the respective expectations of the different actors in the value chain. A fourth section focuses on the importance of standardized data sharing among the various actors to support the sustainable performance. Finally, a final section proposes a support model for participative work in order to facilitate a common strategy definition for sustainability.

A study of strategic intelligence as a strategic management tool in the long-term insurance industry in South AfricaKruger, Jean-Pierre 01 1900 (has links)
Changes and challenges that have occurred in the past two decades have forced a radical shift in the basic foundations of how business is conducted. Internal, as well as external forces have forced organisations to constantly monitor their surrounding environment in order to create an awareness of opportunities and threats to allow them to survive in their competitive environment.
Organisations need to gather all the information at their disposal, and turn the raw data into intelligence through a process of analysis and an exercise of human judgement. By utilising the potential offered by information systems in the process of generating intelligence and creating a corporate knowledge base to be used in strategic decision-making will lead to competitive advantage and constant innovation.
Strategic Intelligence has information as its foundation. This research proposes that through its ability to absorb sources of information, the synergy of Business Intelligence, Competitive Intelligence, and Knowledge Management combined to form Strategic Intelligence, will allow organisations to incorporate all of their information and intellectual capital into a single database or system which will meet the intelligence requirements of management.
The purpose of this study is to identify the current use of Strategic Intelligence in the Long-term Insurance Industry in the South African environment, and through the use of a survey questioned the benefits or problems experienced by executive management who have not yet implemented and used Strategic Intelligence as an input to the Strategic Management process, and identified the perceived value Strategic Intelligence could add in the decision-making process.
The research study shows that organisations have not yet fully embraced a model for a cooperative global internal corporate Strategic Intelligence System or Portal that will incorporate all aspects of Strategic Intelligence into a single, easily manageable resource for management’s strategic planning and decision-making process, even though it could enhance their ability to withstand the onslaught of global competitors and expand their business into new markets, protect their local market or identify potential merger or acquisition targets, and increase innovation within the organisations. / Business Management / M. Le pilotage des interfaces organisationnelles : Contribution à l’équilibration des processus d’intégration-différenciation des organisations / Piloting of the Organizational Interfaces : Contribution to the Equilibration of the integration-differentiation processes of organizationsSeghier, Sofian 13 February 2012 (has links)
The organizational interface remains a little studied object. The research suggests investigating it and understanding the dynamics. The first part clarifies the foundations of the research. Having defined the interface, il creates that the instability of the interfaces results from imbalance in the processes of integration-differentiation. To measure these phenomena, the methodology appeals to two methods: the elaboration and the analysis of a base of verbatim, and a research-intervention.The second part is dedicated to the determiners of the object. She specifies the properties and the activities of the interface, and proposes a modelling. A crossed analysis of 14 interfaces is then explained; three determiners of the regulation in the interface are identified: the degree of uncertainty, the frequency of the interactions and the distribution of the power. On these bases, a typology of the interfaces is proposed: strategic, political, of coordination, and social. The third part deepens the research by the in vivo observation and the transformation of the interfaces. It brings to light their costs of functioning, the fundamental role of their finalization, and shows that the processes of integration and differentiation ask the question of their quality, besides that of their intensity. The hypothesis according to which the piloting of the organizational interfaces improves the équilibration of the integration-differentiation is discussed then experimented. From the first results of experiment, the research identifies levers of piloting of the interfaces and formula of the managerial implications.

Le cas de la Fédération Française de Rugby / The design process of the sports policy of a national sports federation. The case of the French Rugby FederationViollet, Bastien 08 June 2017 (has links)
The main purpose of this thesis is to understand how a national association sport policy is elaborated. The case of the French Rugby Union (FFR) is studied as part of an intervention-research, as this organisation initiated some reflections around its sport policy, an object that we had both to apprehend and conceptualise. This object is considered as a co-construction process, between national and regional actors. In order to study this, we mobilise the Actor-Network Theory (Akrich et al., 2006), associated with the concept of prescriptive relation (Oiry, 2012). The Actor-Network Theory (also known as the sociology of translation) highlights the presence of both human and non-human actors which can have an impact on this process. In this way, our research question is: what are the actors' dynamics during the co-construction process of the federal sport policy? The general idea, throughout our framework, is to express how the (human) actors, thanks to their representations (their translation) and their collaboration / confrontation (their prescriptive relation) are going to co-construct the federal sport policy. The aim of this thesis is to apprehend both the integration of this sport policy into the federal organisation (the FFR) and the creation of an actor-network, which, simultaneously, is configuring and stabilising itself.
