Procesní analýza dotačního programu / Process analysis of a subsidy program

This Master's thesis is concerned with the process analysis of a subsidy program of a governmental institution. The main objective of this dissertation is to describe and analyze the process of a program cycle as a whole as well as its individual sub-processes. The study also elaborates on the information system (IS) utilized, in the context of subsidy management, by relevant governmental institutions. Finally, hierarchies of these IS will be illustrated and future prospects for their integration will be pondered. The dissertation's main contribution to knowledge is the final assessment of the whole process along with a proposal for its enhancement. The study is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, while procedural issue is analyzed in the first part, the subsequent section focuses on the phenomenon of subsidies itself, their common attributes and in what ways do the subsidies discussed in this study differ from other subsidies. The subsidy program is described, in line with the approved documentation, and the official objectives defined. The subsidy program under consideration is administered by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and, therefore, the dissertation includes a schematic diagram depicting the organizational structure of this governmental institution as well as the relevant Department of Budget in order to provide a better understanding of the complex processes involved. The empirical part then analyzes a particular subsidy program and its sub-programs. Finally, the dissertation assesses the whole process and proposes possible ways for its enhancement.

This work is focused on business process modeling and subsequent use in, how it works selling electronic magazines online. In the theoretical section describes possible options for modeling languages, then selected BPM notation and described in detail. The second section describes the technologies used to support sales of electronic magazines. In this work an example is Skimagazin magazine. In the final phase of work are given individual detailed models of how the sale works in practice. The models are mainly focused on describing how to communicate with each individual system elements and users or administrators. Due to the large degree of detail models are listed here only the main models for the functioning of online sales. At the end structure of data objects is described.

Teorinėje darbo dalyje pateikiama vadybos literatūros šaltinių, nagrinėjančių veiklos efektyvumo matavimo ir gerinimo metodus, analizė. Analitinėje darbo dalyje, pasitelkiant stebėjimų ir įmonės dokumentų analizės metodus, analizuojama IĮ „SIRMA“ veikla. Analizuojamas įmonės veiklos efektyvumas, remiantis teorinėje dalyje pateiktais metodais, ieškant veiklos efektyvumo problemų. Atliekama finansinė, vidaus procesų ir lyginamoji veiklos analizė bei pateikiamos analizės išvados apie esamą veiklos efektyvumą įmonėje ir esamas veiklos problemas. Projektinėje darbo dalyje pateikiami problemų, atrastų atlikus IĮ „SIRMA“ analizę, sprendimo būdai ir priemonės, parengiamas priemonių įgyvendinimo planas. Pateikiami finansinio efektyvumo ir vidaus procesų gerinimo planai, bei papildomų veiklos efektyvumo gerinimo priemonių naudojimo planas, apremtas lyginamosios analizės rezultatais. / Main goal of this diploma paper – find ways of improving organizational effectiveness in small and middle size companies, using individual company „SIRMA“ as an example The theoretical part of the paper presents the analysis of performance measurement and improvement methods, in management literature. The analytical part of this diploma paper analysis IC “SIRMA” using observation and analysis methods. Financial, internal processes and comparative performance analysis is performed and conclusions about existing company performance problems are made. Project part of the diploma paper describes main solutions, tools and action plan for organizational effectiveness improvement.

This thesis deals with the topic of process management and its importance within the modern management conception. The literature search introduce the progress of the process management and its principles, the approaches to improve the management processes, it presents the chosen tools of the process modelling, sorts of changes in the transition from the functional to process management, and introduces more closely the Business Process Reengineering and Total Quality Management. The practical part attends to the analysis of the present state of the choosen company, presents the company basic characteristics, organization structure, working positions, staff evaluation system, it identifies and describes the core, secondary and supportive managerial processes in progress within the company. Deals with the proposals how to implement the process management elements within the measurement and evaluation of processes, staff motivation and internal communication. The main benefits of this thesis include the elaboration of the process map of the organization, diagrams of the majority of processes together with their detailed descriptions, denomination of the staff responsible for the particular processes, determination of the key performance indicators suitable for the measuring of the processes effectiveness in time. We have elaborated the questionnaire on the periodic measurement of the customer satisfaction. We have also designed a new module of staff remuneration and suggested the implementation of the knowledge database and other precautions having an influence on the process management, internal communication and, in particular, on the customer satisfaction.

This thesis is focused on topic of mapping and optimization of processes with particular focus on logistic processes. The work consists of three interconnected parts. The first part contains definitions of important concepts and approaches in three separate areas. The areas are organization processes, logistic processes and Lean management. The second part revolves around suitable methodology, it contains used methods and tools suitable for mapping and analysis of various process as well as principles and tools recommended for optimization of logistic processes. The last part of thesis maps key processes of internal logistics inside of manufacturing factory and analyses logistic system used in organization. The thesis also proposes various recommendations how to make analysed processes better. Analysis and optimization of processes is in the end enriched by recommendations, which should lead to better organization logistics system in the future.

In the practical part is compiled process analysis of the company and design changes of processes by modifying the methods of the modeling and optimization.

The theme of this thesis is a process analysis of the Prague Congress Centre. The purpose of diploma work is to propose more effective running of processes in the company. The theoretical part focuses on business processes, process analysis and graphical languages. Another part deals with company's reservation system and analyzes typical characteristics of reservation systems. The main focus of the thesis is on process analysis of Prague Congress Centre, Inc. Current situation is analyzed and more effective operations which run through the whole company are proposed and evaluated. The emphasis is put on differences evaluation between present and proposed situation and suggestion for change. Another part deals with gaps detection in reservation system which is closely connected with chosen analyzed processes. These gaps, up to certain stage, do not allow effective running of chosen processes.

This work covers process continuity as the source of a business continuity management. In first theoretic part this work connects continuous behavior of systems with the business continuity and the process continuity. Then in second part of the work we look into present knowledge in business continuity management systems and we cover key standards for business continuity management. We also look into connections among those standards for business continuity and we pinpoint chapters of British standard BS 25999-1 with its counterparts in IT service frameworks such as ITIL v3 and COBIT 4.1. In the final part, this work covers use of process analysis and process models as tools for delivering business continuity through process continuity and preparing business continuity plans in utilities.

The main goal of practical part is to do a process analysis of the football club and a draft of an information strategy. There are used methods like SWOT analysis and Balanced scorecard.

The nonprofit sector in Czech Republic grows slowly and in many key aspects significantly lags behind western countries. In fact, to find a feasible way to growth is actually far from being easy. Nonprofits, frequently encountering problems with self-presentation and communication with supporters, fail to establish transparency and credibility among public, which is connected to considerably low sum of financial donations supporting nonprofit causes and low public interest in volunteering as well. An aim of this thesis is to proceed with an analysis of a problem domain and to design a solution which lies in founding a platform organization, which would be able to offer IT supported services allowing the nonprofits to overcome aforementioned difficulties.
