The second part of thesis focuses on the description of company, subsequently is made strategic and financial analysis. The last part of the Master’s thesis proposes the individual steps of introducing the Balanced Scorecard in the selected business.

AbstractThe European Central Bank defines virtual currencies as ”unregulated, digital money, which is issued and usuallycontrolled by its developers, and used and accepted among the members of a specific virtual community.”(European Central Bank, 2012, p. 5) The interest in virtual currencies has increased immensely over the last fewyears as they become increasingly prevalent in our society across many different industries. Up until now, the field ofvirtual currencies has been mainly uncharted land and despite interest in specific currencies, few attempts havebeen made at understanding or structuring the entire landscapeThe main research question in this thesis is related to the previously mentioned dilemma: understanding andstructuring the virtual currency ecosystem, today and in the future. How can the virtual currency landscape currentlybe analyzed in a structured manner and what framework can be used to reflect and make predictions on the futuredevelopment?The thesis is based on four different sources of information: a literature study of existing material, corporateinterviews with companies dealing with virtual currencies and consumer interviews with potential early adopters, anonline survey and a case study performed at Ericsson M-Commerce. The case study of Ericsson M-Commerce hasprovided valuable insight into understanding how companies reason when considering adopting virtual currenciesinto their product portfolio and greatly helped the process of structuring the virtual currency market in acomprehensive manner. In return, the thesis has also provided decision material for the department concerningvirtual currencies.This thesis divides virtual currencies into five groups: Prepaid Value, Loyalty Points, Monetization Currencies, GamingCurrencies and Value Encoded Currencies. This model has been developed as a framework for the analysis of thecurrent situation in this thesis. However, the analysis in the thesis has shown that as virtual currencies evolve, it willprobably become more relevant to instead consider their functions. It is likely that virtual currencies will consolidateinto three distinct functional types: virtual currency as a unit of account, virtual currency as a business model formonetization, and virtual currencies as a product that can be sold.As virtual currencies evolve, the future is not only filled with many challenges, but also many new opportunities. Inthis thesis, an attempt to gain an abstract understanding of how the field is developing has been made, but it remains to be seen what the real impacts of virtual currencies will be as they continue to gain traction.

Роль малого бизнеса в экономике страны с каждым годом возрастает, что связано со спецификой его развития и преимуществами, среди которых можно выделить высокую приспосабливаемость к нестабильному внешнему окружению, гибкость и эффективность в вопросе принятия и реализации решений, наличие перспективы старта деятельности во множестве отраслей с относительно малым начальным капиталом, независимость в воплощении идей субъекта предпринимательской деятельности. Целью работы является совершенствование методов учета и анализа финансово-хозяйственной деятельности малых предприятий. В ходе исследования разработаны направления совершенствования учетной политики с учетом совокупного влияния отраслевой и региональной специфики на сферу деятельности предприятий малого бизнеса. Предложен алгоритм сочетания традиционных методов финансового анализа с элементами стратегического анализа, позволяющий проводить всестороннюю оценку результатов деятельности малых предприятий и перспектив их дальнейшего развития, используя единую информационную базу. Практическая значимость работы связана с тем, что методический инструментарий и предложенные практические рекомендации могут быть применены в деятельности предприятий малого бизнеса для повышения эффективности учетной политики и аналитической деятельности. / The role of small business in the country's economy is increasing every year, which is associated with the specifics of its development and advantages, among which there is a high adaptability to an unstable external environment, flexibility and efficiency in the issue of making and implementing decisions, the presence of the prospect of starting activities in many industries with relatively small initial capital, independence in the embodiment of the ideas of the business entity. The aim of the work is to improve the methods of accounting and analysis of the financial and economic activities of small enterprises. In the course of the study, directions for improving the accounting policy have been developed, taking into account the cumulative influence of industry and regional specifics on the scope of activities of small businesses. An algorithm is proposed for combining traditional methods of financial analysis with elements of strategic analysis, which allows for a comprehensive assessment of the performance of small enterprises and the prospects for their further development using a single information base. The practical significance of the work is due to the fact that the methodological tools and the proposed practical recommendations can be applied in the activities of small businesses to improve the effectiveness of accounting policies and analytical activities.

The goal of the diploma paper is to work up market values of GRUND Corp for the purpose of selling to a meanwhile unknown buyer in a form of experts' opinion. A strategic analysis was made before evaluating the company which is one of the key phases of company evaluating, because it makes the initial base for the following evaluation. The strategic analysis is followed by a financial analysis in which a general health of the plant is presented. Consequently, individual creating value generators are defined, and a financial plan of individual company statements is introduced. The DCF Entity method was used for evaluating the company itself, for completion and comparison the company was evaluated with the book-value method.

The diploma thesis deals with a determination of the market value of company Iveco Czech Republic, a.s. to date of 1st May, 2011 for the purpose of the purchase by an unknown investor. The theoretical part contains whole methodological apparatus which is subsequently applied in the practical part. The strategic analysis was divided into macro and micro analysis of the environment of the company. PEST analysis, Porter five forces analysis and SWOT analysis were used during the processing of the strategic analysis. The financial analysis rates the financial health of the company. The final part of thesis is focused on the prognosis of revenues, the compilation of the financial plan and valuation of the company. The valuation of the company was done by the book value method and the two-step DCF FCFF model. The market value of the company Iveco Czech Republic, a.s. and the recommendation for the investor are mentioned at the end of the thesis.

Financial and strategic analysis were made on the basis of the company data for 2005 -- 2009. Based on the coclusion of the analysis was set the financial plan for the next 5 years. Because the firm meets the assumption of so-called going concern principle, the resulting equity value was determined by income based methods, discounted cash flow and net income capitalized.

The aim of the final thesis was implementation of strategic analysis of dental orthodontia laboratory. The final thesis should help to laboratory during the process of transformation to social entrepreneurship. Strategic analysis pursues macroeconomic and microeconomic environment that influence enterprise in profitable and nonprofit surroundings. In case that laboratory will execute all statutory claims, transformation could be done in january 2011. Results of the analysis proved very good strategic position of laboratory between competition. High quality of the products was the main reason. I determined two strategic aims for laboratory as social entrepreneurship. The one of them deal with the employing of the handicapped or disadvantaged people in the labour market. The second one focus on the sustenance of the contemporary high quality. I divided these aims to the six tactical goals.
