[pt] A agregação dinâmica de reguladores de tensão de unidades
geradoras
geradoras coerentes. A
equivalentes. As unidades
geradora. Os parâmetros lineares de cada modelo
equivalente são ajustados
numericamente através do método de Levenberg-Marquardt
para resolver o
problema de otimização multivariável. O objetivo principal
é a determinação do
sistema teste New
England é utilizado para avaliar a metodologia empregada,
observando-se os
desempenhos dinâmicos dos equivalentes propostos. Serão
considerados modelos
do banco de dados de estabilidade do sistema elétrico
brasileiro. / [en] This dissertation deals with the problem of dynamic
aggregation of voltage
regulators of coherent generating units to calculate
dynamic equivalents for power
system transient stability studies. The methodology used
to calculate coherencybased
dynamic equivalents has three basic steps: the
identification of the coherent
groups of generating units, the static reduction of the
external network and the
dynamic aggregation of coherent generating unit models.
The dynamic
aggregation of a group of coherent generating units
consists of the representation
of this group by one or more equivalent generating units.
The coherent generating
units can be represented by different models of
synchronous machine, voltage
regulator, stabilizer, turbine and speed governor. There
will be an equivalent
model for each component of the generating unit. The
linear parameters of the
equivalent models are numerically adjusted using the
Levenberg-Marquardt
method in order to solve the multivariable optimization
problem. The main
objective is the determination of the best equivalent
model for a given
composition of voltage regulator models in a group of
coherent generating units.
The New England system is used to evaluate the dynamic
performance of the
equivalents. The voltage regulator models considered in
this work are in the
Brazilian electrical system stability database. The swing
curves of the internal
system generators obtained with the equivalent system are
compared with those
obtained with the simulation of the complete system.

[en] CALCULATION OF SECURITY INDEXES IN POWER SYSTEMS BASED ON TIME DOMAIN SIMULATION / [pt] CÁLCULO DE ÍNDICES DE SEGURANÇA EM SISTEMAS DE ENERGIA ELÉTRICA BASEADO EM SIMULAÇÃO NO DOMÍNIO DO TEMPOJOAO MAGALHAES DAHL 16 October 2006 (has links)
avaliação da segurança
dinâmica torna-se, então, fundamental. O objetivo é a
busca de um método rápido
e, sobretudo, confiável, para analisar o comportamento
dinâmico de um sistema de
energia elétrica. Esta dissertação trata, portanto, do
problema da avaliação da
segurança dinâmica de sistemas de energia elétrica. A
qualitativas a respeito
da estabilidade na primeira oscilação. O grupo de
geradores severamente
perturbados é determinado e a margem de estabilidade de
cada um deles é
calculada. O gerador que apresentar a menor margem
determina a margem de
estabilidade do sistema. Quando a margem de estabilidade
assume valor nulo, o
Desta
forma, as contingências
A contribuição deste
[en] Power systems have been operating nowadays near to the
stability limits
putting security under risk. This is one of the reasons
why the dynamic security
assessment is a fundamental tool to avoid the occurrence
of blackouts in the whole
world. The goal is a reliable and fast way to evaluate the
dynamic behavior of a
power system. This dissertation deals with the problem of
dynamic security
assessment of power systems. The evaluation is performed
based on stability
margins calculated from time domain simulation results,
providing qualitative
information about the first swing stability. The group of
severely disturbed
machines is defined and the stability margins are
determined. The machine with
the lowest margin determines the stability margin of the
system. When the system
margin approaches the zero value, the critical clearing
time is obtained. These
outcomes are compared with that ones determined by trial
and error method using
a conventional transient stability program. Having done
that, a contingency
ranking is defined according to the critical clearing
time. The ranking minimizes
the number of contingencies that have to be studied. This
dissertation shows that
the criterion to define the group of severely disturbed
machines based on the
machine accelerations at the instant immediately after the
fault clearing time is
more efficient than that one based on the machine
accelerations at the instant
immediately after the fault occurrence.

[en] DYNAMIC AGGREGATION OF DUAL-INPUT POWER SYSTEM STABILIZER MODELS TO CALCULATE DYNAMIC EQUIVALENTS / [pt] AGREGAÇÃO DINÂMICA DE MODELOS DE ESTABILIZADORES COM DUPLA ENTRADA PARA O CÁLCULO DE EQUIVALENTES DINÂMICOSMARCOS ANTONIO ALBUQUERQUE 25 February 2003 (has links)
grupo. Isto caracteriza um problema de otimização
multivariável. As respostas em freqüência são apresentadas
em diagramas de Bode (módulo e fase). A avaliação do
[en] This dissertation deals with the problem of dynamic
aggregation of dualinput stabilizer models applied on
voltage regulators of coherent generating units
to calculate dynamic equivalents for power system transient
stability studies. The methodology used for the calculation
of coherency-based dynamic equivalents has three basic
steps: the identification of the coherent groups of
generating units, the network reduction and the dynamic
aggregation of coherent generator models. The dynamic
aggregation of a group of coherent generating units
attached to a common busbar consists of the representation
of this group by one or more equivalent generating units.
There will be an equivalent model for each component of the
generating unit, i.e., an equivalent model for the
synchronous machine, other one for the excitation system,
and so on. The linear parameters of the equivalent transfer
function are numerically adjusted to match the frequency
response of the corresponding aggregated transfer function
which represents the sum of the individual transfer
functions for each coherent group. This characterises a
multivariable optimization problem. The frequency responses
are presented in Bode diagrams (magnitude and phase). The
dynamic equivalents are evaluated in the New England
system. The swing curves of the internal system generators
obtained with the complete system are compared with those
obtained with the equivalent system. The dual-input power
system stabilizer models considered in this work are in the
Brazilian system stability database.

[pt] CONTROLE DO INVERSOR DE UMA USINA FOTOVOLTAICA PARA MELHORA DA ESTABILIDADE TRANSITÓRIA DE UMA MÁQUINA SÍNCRONA / [en] PROPOSED INVERTER CONTROL OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC GENERATION UNIT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE TRANSIENT STABILITY OF A SYNCHRONOUS MACHINEOSCAR CUARESMA ZEVALLOS 08 April 2021 (has links)
[en] The increase in photovoltaic generation has caused changes in the
power system s operative and dynamic characteristics when subjected to
severe disturbances. One of the most relevant problems associated with this
renewable energy source is the transient stability, as renewable generation
connected to the system by electronic converters does not contrinute to the
increase of the total inertia of the system. However, electronic converters can
potentially bring new opportunities for rapid control to support synchronous
generators in response to severe disturbance. The present work proposes a
control strategy for photovoltaic inverters based on the injection of the
current with a major impact on the transient response of the synchronous
machine rotor angle, identified through the eigenvalue sensitivity analysis
and the participation factors. By doing so, it is possible to increase the
synchronous machine active power output close to its pre-fault value,
reducing the disequilibrium between mechanical and electrical torque. The
proposed control strategy was experimentally tested using an inverter and
a synchronous-motor machine assembly and, by simulating a hybrid system
with a large photovoltaic system. The results show that the proposed control
strategy not only conforms to the grid codes requirements to improve voltage
stability during a severe disturbance, but is also able to maintain transient
stability thus proving to be a better alternative to the FRT capability
required by the grid codes.
