[pt] Análise do romance Nome de Guerra, de Almada Negreiros, a partir da seguinte indagação: como ser moderno em Portugal?. Esta pergunta se desdobra com a leitura crítica da posição vanguardista do escritor e com a análise da recuperação da função pedagógica do romance, proposta por Almada, no início do século XX. A dissertação divide-se em três capítulos. O primeiro deles fala da trajetória do poeta desde Orpheu até Nome de Guerra, numa busca possível das particularidades do narrador almadino. O segundo capítulo trata da análise do romance de formação proposto por Almada e do questionamento sobre o que é sentir-se português no mundo moderno. O terceiro e último capítulo trata da questão do narrador almadino e do delírio poético que a linguagem vanguardista de Almada impõe. A dissertação prende-se ao tema do individualismo como meio de ratificar o lugar do homem moderno no início do século XX. Buscamos sustentar a idéia de um sujeito atual e de suas experiências no mundo, numa direção única como parece ter feito o poeta ao longo de sua obra. A pesquisa também enfoca o tópico da ingenuidade recuperada, proposta pelo poeta como forma de marcar a especificidade do sujeito moderno em sintonia com o mundo novo anunciado pela Geração de Orpheu. / [en] Analysis of the novel Nome de Guerra, by Almada Negreiros, by beginning by the following investigation: how to be modern in Portugal? This question is expanded with the critical reading of the writer s vanguard attitude and with the analysis of the recovery of the novel s pedagogical function, proposed by Almada Negreiros in the beginning of the twentieth century. This dissertation is divided into three chapters. The first one talks about the poet s trajectory from Orpheu until Nome de Guerra, in a search for possible particularities of the almadian narrator. The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the novel of formation proposed by Almada and the questioning about what is to feel as a Portuguese in the modern world. The third and last chapter discusses the almadian narrator and the poetical delirium that the vanguard language imposes. This dissertation concentrates on the theme of individualism as a way to ratify the position of the modern man in the beginning of the twentieth century. We tried to provide support to the idea of a contemporary man and of his experiences in the world, in a single direction as it seems to have been done by the poet throughout his work. The research also focus the lost naiveté, proposed by the poet in order to mark the specificities of the modern subject in harmony with the new world announced by Orpheu s Generation.

[pt] Este trabalho é uma reflexão sobre a teoria poética do Sensacionismo de Fernando Pessoa. Seu pressuposto inicial é a afirmação do autor: Nada existe, não existe a realidade, mas apenas sensações. A análise textual mostrou-se, assim, um procedimento decisivo, permitindo apontar de que modo a heteronímia, como forma de salvar as limitações que a individualidade impõe, contribuiu para ampliar a consciência e percepção do poeta oferendo várias possibilidades de se experimentar a realidade ou a sensação desta. A arte em Pessoa representa sua busca incansável, e, perscrutando todos os caminhos possíveis, conjugados em antíteses fundamentais do conhecimento - subjetivo e o objetivo, o espiritual e o material, o interior e o exterior, assume em seu discurso poético de índole investigativa, o distanciamento de soluções apaziguadoras, consubstanciando-se assim em o próprio poetar pensante. / [en] This work is a reflection on the poetic theory of the Sensationism of Fernando Pessoa. Its initial presupposition is the author s statement: There is nothing, no reality, but sensation. The textual analysis has shown a decisive procedure, making possible to stress in which way the heteronomity contributed to enlarge the conscience and the poet s perception, offering several possibilities to experience the reality or its sensation as a form of saving the limitations that the individuality imposes. Art in Pessoa represents his untiring search, and scanning all the possible ways, jointed in the fundamental antithesis of knowledge - subjective and objective, spiritual and material, inside and outside, takes on in his poetic speech with and investigative character, the aloofness of conciliating solutions, turning Pessoa himself into the thinking poeting.
