The Czech School Inspectorate (CSI) is the only institution responsible for external evaluation of educational system in the Czech Republic. Its main purpose is improving the quality of education provided. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe different CSI's activities and to find out which of them and how influence practice of primary schools in Prague. The results of the analysis of questionnaires, interviews with some headteachers and Deputy Chief School Inspector's comment show that majority of headteacher respondents act upon school inspection report, take inspectors' advice into consideration and follow them. The CSI also influences schools indirectly:  by setting Criteria for Evaluation of Conditions, Course and Outcomes of Education  by stakeholder pressure  by publishing of numerous outputs  by means of InspIS SET system The research shows that most headteacher respondents consider school inspections to be important for them. This diploma thesis deals with the problem of satisfying needs of preschool age children in preschool facilities. The theoretical part of this work provides an insight into the curricular reform in the Czech Republic and a view of perception of children needs by the society. Furthermore there is has been research into the contemporary trend of coordinating a family life with an employment. This was one of the reasons for founding of business kindergartners. A summarization of current legal conditions of establishing of business kindergartners is included as well. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes a relation of curricula documents and satisfying children needs in the kindergarten. Important sections of this work are summaries of various models of needs and list of means of satisfying the needs in the kindergarten. The aim of the practical part of this thesis is to do a qualitative survey in differences between business and state kindergartens in satisfying needs of children. The result of the survey show that are differences in surroundings created in order to satisfy children needs while approaches for the satisfying of children needs were similar.

Planning of school capacity in the Central Bohemia Region Abstract The objective of this thesis is to show the connection among demographic trends and the development of the educational system in the Central Bohemia Region from a quantitative point of view. This thesis focuses on repletion of school facilities, availability of education at pre-primary and basic levels and the possibility to estimate the basic parameters of the education system in future years. The first part addresses issues of methodology and the education system in general and theoretical level. It focused on the literature and data sources on the subject, describing the educational system in the Czech Republic and the development of educational legislation, explaining the methodology used in the second part of the thesis. The second part deals with specific application to data from the Central Bohemia Region. This section shows the numbers of children in nursery schools, pupils in basic schools and repletion of school facilities found in the districts of the Central Bohemia Region. The spatial distribution of school facilities is shown by proportional symbol technique. The diploma thesis, entitled The Profile of a Novice Primary School Teacher, deals with the issue of young teachers starting their teaching practice. The aim of the thesis is to explore how contemporary novice teachers carry out their work, how they percieve it and to what extent they have been prepared for it by their studies. Another aim of the thesis is to compile a profile of a novice teacher which reflects the professional standard of a teacher with a diploma from a faculty of education and practice of one, two, or three years.

This master's thesis deals with the selection process of the school director position. The work is divided into the theoretical and the research part. The theoretical part is concerned with the school director position and its competence, on the other hand with the legislation relevant to the selection process of the school director. In the end of the theoretical part author analyses the selection process in Slovakia. In the practical part author used the questionnaire to find the ideas of Czech teachers and headmasters of the selection process and of the Education Act novelisation. The goal of this thesis is to find how these interested sides perceive the selection process, whether the opinions are the same or different. The conclusions of the literature analysis and the research can be used for the improvement of the school director selection process in the Czech Republic. The work is based on the literature listed at the end and on the questionnaire survey, which was performed with 115 teachers and 13 headmasters. Delegating secondary school headmaster's activities to senior executive of youth home Bc. JARMILA ŽIGOVÁ ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the management of education in the school facility. The main focus is put on the middle management, more precisely on senior executives of secondary schools' youth homes. It studies their role, it defines activities and competencies delegated by secondary school headmasters. The topic of this thesis is based on the fact, that although youth centres are run by school headmasters, activities and order of this education institution is guaranteed by senior executives of youth centres who create important mediators between top management and school establishment staff. The thesis has been made by means of specialized literature and available internet resources. It is based on the applicable legal standards and on the specific laws that modify the area of education and training. In theoretical part the definition of senior executive of youth centre and delegation term is made. The diploma thesis "Personnel Marketing at Higher Education Institutions" deals, in its theoretical part, with the description of personnel marketing, its definition and meaning. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes its division into external and internal personnel marketing. The second chapter focuses on the selected activities of external personnel marketing at higher education institutions, building a school image and using social networks to recruit new workers. The third chapter describes selected activities of internal personnel marketing, namely internal communication, organizational culture and development and education of staff. In the research part, the questionnaire survey explores the use of personnel marketing at higher education institutions, supplemented by an analysis of the publication of vacancies on the websites of aforementioned institutions. On the basis of the results of the investigations, at the end of the thesis, proposals and recommendations for improvement of personnel marketing are provided. The main topic of this thesis is marketing communications of Gymnasium Olympic hopes in České Budějovice. The first part deals with the theory, which is focused on school communication mix, the school's image and marketing strategy. Then this thesis present actual marketing activities of school, describes the SWOT analysis and shows realisation of questionnaire survey and its post evaluation. Heart of the thesis is proposal of specific marketing strategy for GON, which is based on the results of the analyzes.

The Master's thesis deals with the history of education system in the Czech Republic and with the school management as closely related to the issue. The main focus is put on the historical development of the education system and its management in the town of Kralovice, West Bohemia. The aim of the thesis is therefore to demonstrate the gradual development and changes of the system in connection with the development of the school management within the mentioned territory. In particular, the most significant reforms and events affecting the education system are analysed in the study. The comprehensive view on the general development of the system and its management produced by the thesis can be beneficial for the pedagogical and administrative employees of every management level as well as for the local teachers, students and inhabitants of Kralovice.
