Arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av digitalisering : möjligheter och utmaningar / Occupational therapists’ experiences of digitalization : opportunities and challengesYngve, Camilla January 2020 (has links)
Aim: The aim of this study was to describe occupational therapists' experiences of the importance of digitalization for the profession with its opportunities and challenges in different areas of activity. Method: 9 semistructured interviews were conducted with occupational therapists and collected data were analyzed with a qualitative content analysis. Results: The impact of digitalization on occupational therapists’ day-to-day work presents many opportunities but also challenges. Everyday technology influences and changes the administrative work, client meetings and also the organizational work. A consequence is also an affected work environment. Sometimes risks are also seen in relation to digitalization. The conditions for using everyday technology in the profession vary among the occupational therapists. It comes to access to or lack of resources such as equipment, time and skills. There is usually access to technical support but the occupational therapists see an upcoming need for competence development, also in order to be updated along with the client. Conclusion: The study shows occupational therapists' experiences of the importance of digitalization for the profession with its opportunities and challenges in different areas of activity. The study shows that digital competence is and will be a prerequisite for the day-to-day work of the occupational therapist. Furthermore, the study shows that a good working digitalization requires resources and also critical thinking. There is a need for further research in the field as there are currently few studies that illustrate the importance of digitalization for occupational therapists.

"Bli inte bortrövad" : En intervjustudie om vårdnadshavares syn på risker i barns användning av digitala plattformar och datainsamling / "Don't get abducted" : An interview study regarding how parents view risks in children's use of digital platforms and data collection.Nilsson, Hanna, Åhman, Hanna January 2021 (has links)
We live in a digitalized world and almost every child in Sweden between the ages of ten to sixteen has access to or owns a mobile phone. As children spend more time online, research shows that parents are getting more worried about their children's digital lives. The parents worry about many different aspects, like that their children are being bullied online or getting contacted by adults with ill intent. Algorithms and data collection has not been perceived as a risk in children's usage of digital platforms. The public debate regarding data collection has been more focused on the issues and downsides of data collection such as how it can be used to influence politics. The purpose of this thesis is to research what kind of risk parents experience in their children’s use of digital platforms and to what extent data collection can be understood as one of them. The method used for the thesis is semi-structured interviews and six interviews were conductedwith parents who have children within the age span 9-17 years old. The theoretical framework is primarily based on Helen Nissenbaum’s theory regarding contextual integrity. The research examines the dichotomy between people's intention to share information and their actual behaviour also known as the privacy paradox. Christian Fuchs and Shoshana Zubhoffs theories are used to define and examine data collection as unpaid work and its place in the era of surveillance capitalism. The result shows that most of the parents have limited knowledge about data collection, which may lead to the result that they tend to worry about other risks in their children's use in digital platforms rather than the data being collected. Our conclusion is that a discussion regarding the knowledge on how data is collected and used is much needed both for parents and children going forward.

Det ”andra” perspektivet på Konflikthantering : En kvalitativ studie utifrån medarbetarens perspektiv på konflikthantering / The ”other” perspective on conflict management : A Qualitative study with the employee´s perspective on conflict managementBromell, Ida, Karlsson, Sara January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of the study is to analyze employee's response to conflict management styles inorganizational changes driven by digitalisation. The study uses the model The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) designed by Thomas and Kilman (1974).Digitalization is becoming more ordinary and is something that organizations need toimplement in order to remain competitive. Digital-driven changes, like all kinds of change, will create conflicts. The employees' perspectives have been overshadowed by the leader'sperspective in research and this report wants to highlight the importance of the employee.Through focus group discussions, we have been able to analyze employee's response to theconflict management styles presented by TKI.The study concludes that the employee has a significant role in conflict management, as theirresponse determines the outcome of the action. Our study also finds consistency with previousstudies, although different perspectives are reflected.

Digitalization in The Banking Industry : Adapting to The CrisisPalmquist, Sebastian January 2020 (has links)
Research problemThe world is currently undergoing one of the most substantial crises of the past century, causing disruption both socially and economically. The effect on the Swedish inhabitants has been impactful, especially for elders, who are crippled in the ability to complete necessary tasks including private banking. Many elderlies are struggling with online banking and similar fintech services, so when the rest of the population resort to digital means of conducting bank errands, what are banks doing to smoothen the transition for elders? Research purpose The research purpose is to explore how commercial banks are bridging the digital divide between information technology and the senior customers and further how the immediate crisis complicates this. The thesis will explore the practical efforts toward smoothening the transition between an increasingly more digitalized bank sector and the older generations. Additionally, to provide insight to how the covid-19 pandemic influences commercial banking and what trends are following. Theoretical framework The theoretical framework has been modeled around five concepts relating to digitalization: Digital divide, the bell doctrine, E-banking, The profitability of traditional vs. modern banking and E-CRM. The theoretical framework is presented in full extent in its own section. Methodology A qualitative method is applied with emphasis on narrative inquiries collected through semiconstructed interviews. Empirical findings The findings are presented as thematic extracts from the interviews, anchored in the theoretical framework, consisting of primary data from five participants from four separate banks in the Umeå region, Sweden. Conclusion The local banks have been very successful in providing their non-digital customers with their services by being flexible and offering a broad range of channels through which the customer can interact with the bank. For the most part, the banks themselves remain largely unaffected by the crisis. Naturally, there are a few customers who still resist, or do not possess the ability to utilize the digital tools that has become the primary way banking matters are conducted at this time. Additionally, it is possible that the outcome of the crisis will have resulted in an increasingly higher rate of adaptation of digital banking, hence making the traditional business model more difficult to operate post-crisis.

Available virtual museums : Enabling a wider use of virtual museums through a template-based toolRos, Alexander January 2022 (has links)
An emerging issue that has been made visible is the unequal opportunities for digitization among different sizes of museums. This extends also to when using virtual museums as a pedagogical tool or displaying a museum’s collection. Virtual museums as a tool are less likely to be used by smaller sized museums since they have less ability to adapt to digitization and can’t outsource production. The apparent democratic issue is then that local culture can’t compete in this environment. This thesis goal was to address the problem by developing a virtual museum creation tool with availability in mind. The design was made to enable museums to themselves create, update, and maintain their own virtual museums using game technology. The thesis evaluated the tool using a design science research method were a sample of exhibition producers from several museums participated in testing of the tool and later interviewed. The results from this study showed that the design used by the tool was successful withall the participants. The interviews gave information about what features a full version of the tool would need and described the interviewed museums own readiness to themselves produce virtual museums.

Digitalization of the sales process : Leveraging digital sales and marketing tools to increase time effectiveness of multinational SMEsTaawo, Samuel, Myhr, Oskar January 2021 (has links)
Internationalizing small and medium sized enterprises are limited in resources in comparison to larger enterprises. Through digitalization, smaller sales organizations have been presented with tools to enable the sales representatives to use time more effectively and focus on reaching organizational goals. This study aims to determine how digital sales and marketing tools should be implemented into the traditional sales process to increase time effectivity of sales representatives. Based on previous literature on related topics, sales representatives of Scanmast were interviewed and insights specific to the implementation of digital sales and marketing tools into complex B2B sales processes was gathered. The analysis of the responses in congestion with previous research demonstrated that certain ways of leveraging digital sales and marketing tools increase the time effectivity of sales representatives. These results were found to be especially present in regard to the parts of the sales process where customer interaction is considered to be low.
