台灣文創產業之創業精神:以設計產業為例 / Entrepreneurship of cultural creative industry in Taiwan:The case study of design

近年來,台灣設計產業逐漸在世界嶄露頭角。2011年的「臺北世界設計大展」更是將台灣設計產業推進世界的國際舞臺中,並獲得各界的關注。隨著台灣政府積極的鼓勵及推動,有越來越多的人力及資源逐步投入到該產業中,興起了一波又一波的創業浪潮,形成新一波經濟成長的動力,也成為了目前台灣最重視的軟實力之一。   蓬勃的創業故能成為新經濟成長的動力,然,在面對瞬息萬變的環境、有限的資源以及激烈的競爭態勢下,新事業若要生存且嶄露頭角,則有賴於創業家不斷的創新,同時為市場創造新的價值。於此當中,「創業精神」更是創業家賴以生存的先決條件,故,有關「創業精神」的研究逐漸備受重視,相關文獻亦有增加之趨勢。然而,對於該議題之相關研究所涉過於廣泛零散,毫無統一性,且國內以設計產業為主軸作為探討的創業研究廖廖無幾,是故,本研究針對該議題進行系統性的分析,試圖建構出特屬於設計產業的創業精神研究架構,並以此架構進行訪談,共訪談了26家設計公司及30位設計創業家,續而進行資料分析,解析出設計產業相關環境現況之議題,同時釐清設計創業者該如何應對其所帶來之影響,以供後者借鑒之用。

有鑑於從類比往數位化科技的演變已成為新的趨勢,以及其創造出的影響力十分龐大,不僅改變人類的生活型態且深深影響著使用行為。傳統相機的數位化過程,提供了最好的例案。近年來台灣也開始從原本Wintel的IT 產業往消費性產業(Consumer Electronics)移動。想快速複製在IT產業所累積的經驗,運用到消費性電子業上,再一次創造主導生產端的全球優勢。雖然IT產業的成功,提供廠商極佳的參考價值,但二者有著極大的不同。IT產業有Wintel的共通平台,標準一致性高,這對有大量複製能力的台灣廠商,提供了絕佳的發展機會與空間,而事實也証明是成功的。但在消費電子業上,因沒有共同平台可用,就沒有如此方便的架構可供參考。各家都必需有其特色,產品才會有其吸引力,也唯有貼近消費者需求的產品,才是價值所在。而所有令人眼睛一亮的創新產品背後,都是建構在嚴格的技術與管理的體系上,且無一例外。產業是企業的組合,企業的成長與否正是驅動產業生態變化的主要原因。 本研究主要探討集團內部創業過程中,有效的應用產品生命週期演化中所決定的市場關鍵性變數,以集中資源,重點突破的管理模式,達成組織目標。希望透過研究成果對台灣公司往消費性電子的發展有所貢獻。僅透過單一公司內的事業部做深入分析。研究架構以Timmons Model做為主軸,以機會、資源、團隊做為主要的基礎研究構面,配合龍捲風暴(Inside The Tornado)競爭優勢的三個關鍵性變數之互動中,做進一步的檢驗,並對此一模型提出建議並供業界參考。 / In light of the paradigm shift from the analog to digital in people’s life and the trend in this way which not adjusted the living style of mankind but varied behaviors of manipulation has a huge impact. The sample that traditional cameras were substituted for digital cameras could be a valid evidence. Taiwan has been recognized as a successful story of major hardware providers for the IT industry. The main reason behind it is a platform defined by Wintel (Windows and Intel) and that makes the development easier for Taiwanese companies to have a quick move. Because of more than 20 years booming IT industry, the opportunity which is open so wider and Taiwan has performed as a great model during the time period. The good result turns out that Taiwan can explore the same DNA which is embedded from IT industry to make another successfully story on Consumer Electronics fields. Obviously, that is not the same game rule as history of IT industry due to no common platform for quick “copy and paste” mechanism defined by Wintel. Whoever wants to be the key figure in the market of consumer electronics, therefore, should provide excellent products as well as solid management skills for himself and whole market in the realm. The permanent rule is only the products which really touch the wants of consumers can enjoy the great success and the different way of thought or action based on what has been learned from IT mode. The purpose of this research is try to explain the inner incubator system to a newly establishment BU (business unit) for how to utilize the opportunity and to allocate the resources no matter inner or out source, then organize a great team work to make the BU successful. The concept adopted here, is based on “Timmons” model and combines the way with “Inside the Tornado” for developing new management scope and business model. The structure of this thesis is imitated with depending upon the theory of “Timmons” & “Inside the Tornado” and provides the conclusion and suggestion after solely case study, then.

The entrepreneur steps forward with every stage of their business, continuously challenging themselves to the vertical limits in life and pushing themselves into the realm of personal success” Entrepreneurs look forward to a career with freedoms and flexibilities, directed by a combination of motivating passion and the self-belief of “Live life to the fullest. Chase to dreams to reality”. To choose the road of entrepreneurship is to bravely chase the dream of self-created success. After winning the 2010 World Baker championship, Mr. Wu Pao Chun founded The “Wu Pao Chun Bakery Chain” with the ambitious plan to dominate the bakery industry. Mr. Wu was a motivated learner in business operation management. Mr. Wu built the foundations of his business knowledge from a variety of sources i.e. studying books on business management, adapting from real-life experiences and listening trusted mentors. Determined to become a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Wu transformed small stores into corporate level bakery chains through sustainable management. In September 26, 2013, the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs publicized the“ 2013 Official White Paper on SMEs in Taiwan”. According to the document, SMEs in Taiwan grew by 2.11% from 2011-2012. It was a record high, accounting for up to 70% of all enterprises. Among the sample, 83% of these enterprises were privately owned and/or operated. In recent years, the Taiwan Government has encouraged a policy focus on “Entrepreneurships to create Jobs”. With government support, many entrepreneurs have started businesses across the nation, creating unique products, identifying new customers, and creating company images across diverse range of industries. Since the majority of these entrepreneurs are small-scale and low capital ventures, capital shortage and lack of competiveness was a common problem. Small scale operations allowed entrepreneurs to adapt quickly to changing business environments but the lack of capital funding and resources shortage caused many entrepreneurs to fail. Weak cash flow was the ultimate cause of closure in businesses. Even with a small scale operation, the ability to identify opportunities is critical in developing and sensing new markets and ultimately, generating value. The entrepreneur themselves are the key contribution to the success of their businesses. To becoming an entrepreneur is no easy task, in fact, very challenging. Entrepreneurs face challenging decisions throughout every stage of their business. Every entrepreneur has their own scale of operation, capital funding and knowledge background. Every decision the entrepreneur makes is critical for the survival of their business. Successful allocation of existing resources and/or finding new resources through business operations is the key to success which all entrepreneurs strive for in the SMEs sector. The most important factors influencing a successful start-up business are the combination of keen-eyed entrepreneur, new opportunities in businesses, and adequate resources. My study in entrepreneurship focuses on personal drive/motivation of the entrepreneur, identifying key business opportunities, allocation of resources and the compatibility of these three factors as the basic elements in a successful business model and analyst how these elements contributed to Wu Pao Chun Bakery’s entrepreneurial success and the overall success of Mr. Wu’s business model.

台灣GPS廠商創業的經營管理之研究---以新禾航電股份有限公司為例 / A study of a Taiwanese enterprise GPS Firms' operation and management ---A case of San Jose Technology,Inc.

本研究之主旨在探討一般新創公司在創業前期及創業後期所面臨的經營管理問題與對策,給有心創業者作為參考,以降低失敗的風險,進而能一舉成功,避免傷及創業之鬥志與勇氣,減少財務的損失。 首先藉由文獻的整理,蒐集專家及學者之菁華,找出與創業有關的學理,再將學理套於個案公司之經營管理,深入暸解創業成敗之關鍵因素,從實務中發掘學理之依據,進而整理出成功的創業模式,得以印證學理之正確性,讓有志於創業者加強對文獻之信心與認同。 本研究之個案雖屬高科技公司,但經過學理之印證後,可發現其經營管理之方法也離不開文獻之範疇,主要是採用Timmons及 Shane之創業模式來加以剖析,雖然研究者將Timmons之模式運用於創業前期,而將Shane之模式運用於創業後期,或許有些牽強,但目的是為了方便敘述,好讓讀者容易理解。 針對本研究之主要問題可區分為下列兩期,將籌備到創業後三年歸納為創業前期,第四到十五年則歸納為創業後期,雖然期間有點太長,但經營者自認為規模還小,仍應秉著創業期之衝勁追求更完美: 一、 新創公司創業前期的管理作法為何? 二、 新創公司創業後期的管理作法為何? 從本研究中可獲得以下之主要結論: 一、 新創公司在創業前期會善用其核心能耐以尋找商機,同時以外部資源取用補足內部資源及能力之不足,並加強創業團隊成員之專長互補與共識,提高創業成功的機會。 二、 新創公司在創業後期之技術管理上會著重利基性及差異性之思維,在行銷管理上會以客戶需求為導向,在組織管理上則會特別重視風險管理並適時網羅人才以增強組織的陣容,並以創新來提高報酬。 / The newly start-up company will face the different management difficulties during the starting period. The study distinguished the start-up period into Earlier Period of the Start-up and the Later Period of the Start-up. The selecting company of the thesis is classified as the high-tech industry. We use the Timmons Model to analyze the Earlier Period of the Start-up, and use the Model of Scott A. Shane to analyze the Later Period of the Start-up. The main research questions of the thesis are : 1. What’s the right management method in the Earlier Period of the Start-up Company? 2. What’s the right management method in the Later Period of the Start-up Company? The conclusions of the research are: 1. In the Earlier Period, the company must (1) make a good use of its core competency to catch the good chance, (2) use the external resources to strengthen the lack of the internal resources or capability, (3) strengthen and increases the complementarity of the abilities of the start-up entrepreneurial team. 2. In the Later Period, the company must (1) focus on the niche market and attach importance to the differentiation on the Technology Management issue, (2) take the customer demand-oriented method as the principal on the Marketing Management issue, (3) pay attention to the risk management, recruit the talented person or team on the Organizational Management issue.

都市原住民創業成功模式之研究-以台北市原住民為例 / The study on successful entrepreneurial pattern of urban indigenes: a case of Taipei indigenous people

近二、三十年來,台灣在貿易自由化趨勢、產業結構調整以及外勞政策等多重因素的影響下,使得原住民社會傳統封閉的部落生產型態逐漸遭受瓦解,許多原住民因為原鄉欠缺就業機會,紛紛離鄉背井移居至都市謀生,但因競爭力不足、適應力不佳而就業困難,致使原住民失業率大幅提高。為能改善現狀,創業便成為良好的途徑之一。政府雖有提供各項措施扶持原住民創業,然而政府所提供之各項政策措施是否能實質有效地協助原住民創業成功?同時在原住民創業過程中,是否不同原住民的特質會影響創業成功模式?緣此,本研究先從「推拉理論」及相關文獻分析光復後原住民遷移都市之原因,選定台北市原住民企業為主體,採用問卷調查方式,以了解其於創業過程中之困境,並探討政府所提供之創業輔導措施能否有效協助原住民創業。最後歸納台北市原住民創業成功模式之四大面向,分別提出改進策略與建議,希冀由不同面向探悉都市原住民創業成功之內涵,以提供原住民改進內在自我特質、政府相關單位形塑適當之外在環境條件的參考。 要言之,本研究所獲致之結論歸納如下: 一、原住民陷入就業困境之主要原因為︰特殊原住民文化與主流文化應對下之社會歧視、原住民人力提供與社會所期待之人力需求未能符合、外籍勞工大舉入境排擠原住民就業,以及政府長期缺乏積極有效之就業政策。 二、影響台北市原住民創業成功之四大面向,包括:(一)個人特質:舉凡教育程度愈高、原住民在家中的排行或有負擔家計的責任感、以及與原漢接觸的程度高,都有助於創業成功。(二)創業歷程:若在創業前有關工作經驗豐富、取得多項相關證照、自有資金充裕,以及積極拓展人際關係等,都能促使創業計畫順利實現。(三)經營方法:如於行銷、財務、會計、帳務等層面處理良好,且能善用原住民文化資源,凸顯產品的獨特價值,當能彰顯創業績效。(四)政府輔導措施:善加利用政府提供的輔導企業營運措施及原住民族綜合發展基金貸款,有助於創業順遂。 三、此外,本研究發現台北市政府雖針對原住民創業提供多項的輔導措施,然而實際申請相關之原住民企業仍為少數;且原住民族綜合發展基金貸款政策,也因貸款過程及貸款擔保方式有欠妥適,致使原住民創業受惠有限,實有必要進行全面之檢討。 / Over the past 20 or 30 years, Taiwan under the multiple influence of factors in liberalization of trade trend, industrial structure adjustment and foreign labor policy, etc. make Indigenes productive attitude of clan with close social tradition disintegrated gradually. Because a lot of Indigenes are short of employment opportunity in original country, they migrate to the city in order to make a living. But it is difficult to obtain employment because the competitiveness is insufficient, adaptive capacity is not good, cause Indigenous rate of unemployment to improve by a wide margin. In order to improve the current situation, initiating becomes one of he good ways. Although the government offers multiple measures to help Indigenes initiate, we want to know if the measures are truly and effective to assist Indigenes initiate. And if the different idiosyncrasy of Indigenes, it will affect the initiating model. Therefore, this research is based upon “pull-push theory” and the relevant documents to analyze the reasons the Indigenes migrate to city. And select Taipei Indigenous enterprise, with a series of interviews, to understand their predicament met with course of initiating and whether the government offer could help Indigenes to initiate effectively. Finally, four major factors were sum up, and propose improving the tactics and suggestion separately. It hopes to find out the intension that the urban Indigenes initiate successful, and offer some reference of Indigenes to improve inherent self-specially, and the relevant units of government properly. In short, the study results have shown as follows: 1. The main reasons that the Indigenes falls into predicament of obtaining employment are the social discriminate under the specially Indigenous culture and the major culture, Indigenous manpower offers can’t accord with the society need, foreign labors of manpower demand that the society expects on a large scale , and the government lacks the positive and effective employment policy for a long time. 2. Influence Taipei key factors of successful initiation, including: (1) Idiosyncrasy: The higher education degree, the first kid of a family, the responsibility for home, and high degree contracted with original Chinese, contribute to starting an initiating successfully. (2) Course of initiation: If it is abundant to work relevantly experienced, obtain multiple relevant certificates, own enough fund and actively expand interpersonal relationships, etc., can all impel the plan of initiation to realize smoothly. (3) Management method: Dealing with such aspects as marketing, financial affairs, accounting, account, etc. well, and make the best use and the unique value of Indigenous culture resources can reflect the performance of initiation. (4) The government’s coaching measure: Exploiting enterprise’s operation measure of coaching offered by government and the loan of Indigenous comprehensive expansion funds properly, will contribute to initiating smoothly. 3. Besides, the study shows that the government of Taipei offers multiple coaching measures to the Indigenes, but enterprises are still minority to apply to the coaching measure of government. In addition, the policy of lending of Indigenous comprehensive expansion funds cause Indigenes receive benefits not proper and rightly limitedly, due to its loan course and loan guarantee way. And it carries on overall self-criticism really and necessarily.
