AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ lokomotyvų parko perspektyvos tyrimas / The analysis of development prospects of the locomotive fleet of JSC "Lietuvos geležinkeliai"

Šiame baigiamajame darbe išanalizuotas bendrovės turimas lokomotyvų parkas, jų sudėtis, amžius, techninės charakteristikos. Apžvelgtos lokomotyvų parko atnaujinimo programos. Atlikta prekinių-magistralinių lokomotyvų gedimų analizė iki parko atnaujinimo ir po jo. Pateikta krovinių vežimų analizė iki 2007 metų bei prognozė iki 2030 m. Apžvelgti AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ vykdomi bei numatomi įgyvendinti infrastruktūros projektai, kurie gali turėti įtakos lokomotyvų parko kitimo ilgalaikei strategijai. Remiantis teorinėmis formulėmis ir informacija, nustatytomis prielaidomis bei lokomotyvų apyvartos analize buvo išvesta formulė, pagal kurią skaičiuoti turimų, numatytų įsigyti bei modernizuotų lokomotyvų pajėgumai parko kitimo perspektyvoje ir palyginti su prognozuojamu krovinių srautų didėjimu. Identifikavus reikalingus lokomotyvų pajėgumus ir jų papildomą kiekį perspektyvoje pasiūlytas racionaliausias lokomotyvų parko kitimo ilgalaikės strategijos variantas. / The locomotive park, its composition, age and technical characteristics of stock company are analyzed in this master’s dissertation. There are reviewed renewal programmes of Locomotive Park. Here have been analyzed breakdowns of freight locomotives till and after renewal program. Here have been analyzed freight haulage till 2007 year and forecast till 2030 year. There is reviewed JSC “Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ supposed infrastructure project which could influence to the locomotives fleet long-rate strategic. Considering to theoretical formulas and information, selected presumptions and locomotive work analyses was educed formula in accordance with was calculated locomotives potential work in the future and compared with forecast of freight haulage. Here have been identified the demand and amount of locomotive work in the prospect and suggested most rational development prospects of the locomotive park of JSC "Lietuvos geležinkeliai".

Baigiamajame darbe išanalizuotas AB „Lietuvos geležinkeliai“ prekinių šilumvežių parkas. Išnagrinėti parko modernizacijos projektai. Atlikta prekinių šilumvežių dyzelinių degalų sąnaudų pasirinktame geležinkelio ruože lyginamoji analizė. Atlikta ekonominė analizė, nustatytas modernizuotų, remotorizuotų 2M62 serijos šilumvežių bei naujų SIEMENS ER20 CF prekinių šilumvežių ekonominis efektas pagal sutaupytą degalų kiekį, lyginant su 2M62 šilumvežiais, turinčiais 14D40 variklį. Nustatytas 2M62 serijos šilumvežių modernizacijos, remotorizacijos bei naujo SIEMENS ER20 CF atsipirkimo laikas pagal sutaupytą degalų kiekį ir kitas eksploatacines sąnaudas. Pateikta prekinių šilumvežių parko struktūrinė analizė, prekinių šilumvežių degalų sąnaudų priklausomybės nuo fizinių veiksnių tyrimas, prekinių šilumvežių ekonominis įvertinimas. Išnagrinėta informacija apibendrinta išvadomis ir pasiūlymais, pateiktas literatūros sąrašas. Darbo apimtis – 70 p. teksto be priedų, 36 iliustr., 24 lent., 15 bibliografinių šaltinių. Atskirai pridedami darbo priedai. / The paper analyzes Joint-Stock Company AB „Lietuvos Geležinkeliai“ depot of goods heat-engines. The paper investigates the projects of depot modernization. A comparative analysis of fuel expenditure by goods heat-engines has been conducted in the selected section of the railway. The economic analysis has been carried out, which determines the economic effect of the modernized and remotorized 2M62 series heat-engines and the new SIEMENS ER20 CF goods heat-engines with regard to the saved fuel amount as compared to 2M62 heat-engines with 14D40 engines. The time of covering the modernization and remotorization of 2M62 series heat-engines and the purchase of the new SIEMENS ER20 CF has been determined with regard to the saved fuel amount. The paper presents a structural analysis of the depot for goods heat-engines as well as the research of fuel expenditure by goods heat-engines dependence on physical factors, a comparative analysis of diesel fuel expenditure by goods heat-engines in the railway section as well as economic assessment of goods heat-engines have been conducted. The volume of the paper is 70 pages of text excluding appendices, 36 illustrations, 24 tables, 15 bibliography entries. The appendices are supplied separately.

Combining Legacy Modernization Approaches For OO and SOA

Organizations with older legacy systems face a number of challenges, including obsolescent technologies, brittle software, integrating with modern applications, and rarity of properly skilled human resources. An increasingly common strategy for addressing such challenges is application modernization, which transforms legacy applications into (a) newer object-oriented programming languages, and (b) modern Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Published approaches to legacy application modernization focus either on technology transformation or SOA transformation, but not both. Given that both types of transformation are desirable, it is valuable to explore how to combine existing approaches to perform both transformations types within a single project. This thesis proposes principles for combining such approaches, and demonstrates how these principles can be applied through an example of a combined approach along with a simulated application of this example. The results of this simulated application leave us with considerable confidence that both transformations can be successfully incorporated into a combined project.

Bakalaurinio projekto tema – technologinis įrenginys, kurį naudoja dviračių gamybos įmonė „Baltik – Vairas“. Šio įrenginio racionalūs inžinieriniai projektavimo darbai reikšmingi įmonės ūkinei veiklai. Įmonė dirba dviem kryptimis: naudoja energiją taupančias technologijas ir sudaro racionalias mechanines technologines sistemas, pasižyminčias dideliu darbo našumu. Šie klausimai yra nagrinėjami šiame projekte. Ratlankių sujungimo staklių projektavimas sudarytas iš komplekso inžinierinių uždavinių. Todėl šiame darbe sprendžiamos tik šio komplekso atskiros dedamosios, vertinant pradinę informaciją, realias darbo apkrovimo charakteristikas ir staklių efektyvumo išnaudojimo laipsnį. Pagrindinė sąlyga, projektuojant kokybišką technologinę mechaninę ratlankių sujungimo staklių sistemą, yra teisingas, optimalus pagrindinės mechaninės schemos parinkimas ir jos darbo režimai. Svarbu, kad ši staklių schema būtų susieta su kitais įrenginiais ir aplinka. Tai aptarnavimo patogumas, atitinkantis ergonomikos reikalavimus, ruošinių ir pagamintų detalių sandėliavimo vietos, transportavimo keliai ir priemonės. Šių klausimų sprendimai pateikti grafinėje projekto dalyje. Galimų skaičiavimo paklaidų multiplikacijai išvengti buvo atlikta projektuojamo objekto variantų analizė. Tai labai padidino ratlankių sujungimo staklių skaičiavimo reikšmių optimalumą. Pradinė informacija, kuria buvo naudojamasi atliekant diplominį projektą, yra apdirbamo mazgo, dviračio ratlankio, techniniai reikalavimai prieš... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] / The theme of dissertation is the Connection Machine for Bicycle Rims, which is used in company “Baltic – Vairas”. Rational engineering designing job of this mechanism is very important of company work. This company is working in two ways: using by mechanism, which are saving energy and making rational mechanical systems which are excellence in labour productivity. This is motif of dissertation. The designing of rim joint machine is made of group of engineer jobs. So, in this dissertation is handing separate components considering on primary information, real characteristic of workload and efficiency of machines exploitation. The designing of quality technical mechanical rim joint machine is crucial problem of choice optimal main scheme and his working mode. Importantly that this scheme would be united with other mechanisms and environments. Solution of these questions are discussed in the graphical part of dissertation. This very increased calculating expression of rim joint machine. The main information which was used in dissertation is bicycle rim technical requirements before and after technological processes.

Att finna kärleken i det senmoderna samhället : En sociologisk uppsats om risker med att dejta på nätet

Syftet med denna uppsats är att bidra med kunskap och förståelse av hur kärlek kan skapas i ett senmodernt samhälle. Aktuella studier på området menar att samhället idag är mer individualiserat än förr vilket innebär förändrade förutsättningar för att få kärleksrelationer att fungera. Moderniseringen har inneburit att vi antagit nya former av dejting vilket präglas av valfrihet för individen på samma gång som teknikens utveckling har medfört nya möjligheter att finna intimitet och tillit online. För att genomföra denna kvalitativa uppsats har vi utfört intervjuer med nätdejtare som därefter har tolkats utifrån Becks teorier kring risksamhället, Giddens teorier kring rena relationer samt Goffmans teorier kring det dramaturgiska perspektivet. Resultatet visar att nätdejtingen präglas av flera risker och faror. Nätdejtarna riskerar att bli besvikna om de går in med höga förväntningar, att hamna i otillfredsställande relationer, att bli bedragna eller lurade av andra nätdejtare. Det finns dock möjligheter att finna kärleken trots riskerna. Några strategier för att finna kärleken var att ha ett öppet sinne och inte måla upp för stora förväntningar, att bredda sitt urval av andra nätdejtare och samtidigt ägna sig åt djup kommunikation för att skapa tillit. Strategierna tenderade att minimera riskerna som följer av att dejta på nätet. / The purpose of this study is to contribute with knowledge and understanding of how love can be created in the late modern society. Current studies on this topic shows that society today is more individualized than before, which means that the conditions in order to get successful love relationships has changed. We have adopted new forms of dating which are characterized by the freedom of choice for individuals. The development of technology has led to new opportunities to find intimacy and trust online as a consequence of the modernization. This qualitative thesis is based on interviews with online daters and has been interpreted on the basis of Beck's theories of the risk society, Giddens theories of pure relationship, and Goffman's theories about the dramaturgical perspective. The result shows that there are several risks and dangers with the online dating. The online daters are likely to be disappointed if they go in with too high expectations, they also risk ending up in unsatisfying relationships or being deceived or mislead online by other online daters. However there were strategies to overcome these risks and dangers to find love. Having an open mind and lower the expectations, broaden the range of online daters and simultaneously engage in deep communication to build trust, tended to minimize the risks and dangers that online daters faced when they were searching for love online.

Dying for Attention: The Role of the Biafran Identity in the Biafran Campaign for Support during the Nigerian Civil War of 1967-70

This study examines the Biafran secession of 1967-1970 and how the secessionist government constructed a Biafran identity in its campaign to gain international support for Biafra’s permanent separation from Nigeria. The introductory chapter outlines the role of identity in Nigeria’s twentieth-century political history and discusses the scholarly literature addressing questions of national and ethnic identity and on the Biafran secession. The thesis then provides a historical framework for discussing the evolution of Nigerian political identities and the failures of Nigerian leaders to build a Nigerian nationalism among the region’s numerous identifiable groups in the colonial and early independence eras. Subsequent chapters analyse the Biafran government’s attempts to elide the inherent instability of identity and overcome the dynamic process of identity formation in Nigeria by constructing and promoting a fixed Biafran identity based on cultural characteristics and historical experiences that allegedly distinguished and united the diverse peoples of the secessionist region.

Magistro baigiamojo darbo teorinę dalį sudaro du pirmi skyriai. Pirmame skyriuje išanalizuota Lietuvos bei užsienio šalių valstybės tarnybos teoriniai aspektai: aptarta bendroji viešojo administravimo samprata, valstybės tarnybos raida Lietuvoje, pateiktas valstybės tarnybos sandaros apibendrinimas, valstybės tarnautojų kvalifikacijos analizė, valstybės tarnautojų karjeros vertinimas, ir galiausiai valstybės tarnybos pokyčių apibendrinimas. Antrame skyriuje pateikiami Lietuvos viešųjų organizacijų veiklos ypatumai: Lietuvos darbo biržos veiklos ypatumai bei viešosios organizacijos samprata, taip priartėjant prie empirinio tyrimo objekto – viešosios organizacijos bei valstybės tarnybos. Trečiame skyriuje pristatomas atliktas empirinis valstybės tarnybos modernizavimo galimybių tyrimas tarp LDB bei kitų valstybės tarnautojų. Pateikiama tyrimo metodologija, pasiruošimas tyrimui, analizuojami kiekybinio (anketinės apklausos) tyrimo rezultatai, jų interpretacija bei palyginimas (dviejų respondentų grupių). Iškelti pagrindiniai valstybės tarnybos trūkumai bei paruoštos rekomendacijos jų likvidavimui. / The theoretical part of MA thesis encompasses the first two chapters. Chapter one includes the analysis of theoretical aspects of the civil service in Lithuania and foreign countries: the common conception of public administration, evolution of civil service in Lithuania, summary of civil service structure, career assessment of civil servants and summary of changes in civil service. Chapter two presents activity peculiarities of Lithuanian public organizations: peculiarities of Lithuanian Labor Exchange activity and a conception of public organization, approaching an empirical study of the object – public organization and civil service. The third chapter presents an empirical study on the civil service modernization feasibility involving civil servants at LLE and other organizations. Methodology of the study and preparation tasks are introduced, the results of quantitative study (based on questionnaires) are analyzed, interpreted and compared between two different groups of respondents. The main shortcomings of the civil service are identified and recommendations for their elimination are proposed.

This study attempts to examine the architecture in Turkey during the Early Republican period as part of the social, economic and political context of the modernization process of the newly founded state, focusing on the case of the ismet PaSa Girls&amp / #8217 / Institute in Ankara. Firstly, the education of woman in general and the Girls&amp / #8217 / Institutes in particular are scrutinized in order to analyze the changes in the social role of women in the context of modernization in the Early Republic. Secondly, the relationship between women and the built environment is examined with reference to the changes women experienced in this context. The architectural context of the period is analyzed to examine the buildings of the Girls&amp / #8217 / Institutes as contemporary examples of the creation of a modern built environment in Turkey. Lastly, the building of the ismet PaSa Girls&amp / #8217 / Institute is examined in detail, by also making comparisons with other contemporary school buildings in Ankara. The building, which was constructed as a modernist school building by the foreign architect Ernst Egli in the center of Ankara, is evaluated as the representation of modern women and modern architecture for the new nation-state. So, the aim of this study is to assess the ismet PaSa Girls&amp / #8217 / Institute in Ankara as the example of contemporary educational institutions as well as of contemporary architecture in Turkey, corresponding with the attempt of the new nation-state towards modernization.

The Role Of Secularization Within The Turkish Nation-state Building Process

The objective of this study is to analyze the role of secularization within the Turkish nation-state building process between the late 19th and the early 20th century / hereby an emphasis will also be on the relations between the state and religion. This study will consider the Religious Affairs Directory as the key institutional actor in this process. This institutional reflection of secularization will be studied as an interesting case of state controlled social change on and over religion in society. The state reproduces its legitimization and discourse over the Religious Affairs Directory, therefore some publications and khutbas of that institution in 2003 and 2004 will be analyzed. On the other hand, secularization was defined on 5th February 1937 in the 1924 Constitution with the law numbered 3115, as the separation of the state and religious affairs and the equal distance of the state&rsquo / s position towards all beliefs and believers. The contradiction between the state&rsquo / s definition and institutional application of secularization will be criticized. The first contradiction is the integration of state and religious affairs. The statist discourse legitimizes the state through the religious affairs and as it will be seen in the analyzed publications and khutbas of the Religious Affairs Directory, the statist and religious discourses overlap each other. Since this overlapping enables the integration of state and religious affairs through the Religious Affairs Directory as a constitutional institution, the applications of this institution contradict with the constitutional definition of Turkish secularization. The second feature of the Turkish secularization is that the state applies this practice over only one sect (Sunni-Hannifin) which is an obstacle for the state&rsquo / s position against all the religious beliefs. The legitimization of the state is being done through the Sunni-Hannifin denomination and by this way the state takes a side among the various beliefs. Lastly, as the results of the historical analysis of this study reveal, it will be understood that the practice of manipulating the religion under the hegemonic state ideology is a tradition inherited from the late Ottoman period. The Republic of Turkey, which realized secularization within a constitutional definition and through institutional transformations, has continued to integrate the state with religion.

The Theme Of Alienation In Turkish Novels: The Decade Of The 1970s

This thesis aims at explaining the forms and styles in which the phenomenon of alienation found expression in Turkish novels, particularly in the 1970s. For this purpose, three novels of the decade are chosen for in-depth analysis since they are considered to be most representative examples. It was important to question how these three novels have ascribed significance to the existing conditions of alienation. Therefore, the specific discussion of this thesis dwells on whether these novels offer any alternative approach or whether there is any possibility of such an alternative. Thus, the analyses of the characters in the novels are based on their designation as they experience the adverse consequences of the phenomenon of alienation. In spite of the fact that the novels differ among themselves in their particular approach to alienation, there is a general attempt to designate a sense of consciousness that is not totally effective in overcoming negative consequences of this phenomenon.
