How is Internal Communication used during the economic crisis in Spain 2013? -  A multiple case study.

Mejia, Jonnathan, Karim, Aryan January 2013 (has links)
Internal communication is very important in organizations as it has many advantages. Communicators such as marketers should have an internal market in mind and not just the external as it could be a key to success. Media channels that are used to communicate internally also play a big role in what the company is trying to convey to the internal market. Print communication plays a minor role, if any, in smaller companies now that electronic communication is making it easier for businesses to coordinate, educate and motivate internally. However, face-to-face was seen as the most effective tool in internal communication. Finally, there were no findings that the economic crisis in Spain 2013 was affecting the internal communication.

Wångne, Nicole, Pustovoyt, Anna January 2013 (has links)

_________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The problem confronted in this work is that of the possibility of application of justice in face of the recognition of the structurally indeterminate character of the modern law, having in sight the exhaustion of the explaining force of the positivist theories. Challenging both the irrational belief that rationally elaborated legal texts could reduce the complexity of the interpretative task and the decisionist skepticism, Ronald Dworkin aims at rescuing the belief in the normative force of rights, turning upside down the epistemic pureness intended by the positivism and restoring the plausibility of the concept of justice in post-metaphysical and post-conventional terms, defending that the attitude to be adopted by those who apply the law must be that of searching the one right answer required by the legal system in its integrity. The reflective rescue of the normative content of the modernity and the proper idea of reason is considered essential for the understanding of the role of principles in contemporary legal reasoning, in the legitimate basis of democracy and in the development of reflexive ethics. The theory of Ronald Dworkin will be the conducting wire of the analysis undertaken, for its approach that seeks simultaneously to validate both the claim to justice and to legal certainty. The understanding of the existing tension between basic norms, and the debate with theories that comprehend principles as being essentially incompatible will be of great importance for the conclusions of the work, that it will then try to demonstrate that even in decisions where a balancing of values is explicitly defended, the search for rightness, in the sense described, is present and plays a decisive role in the understanding of the normative requirements of legal principles.

Da cólera ao acontecimento junho de 2013: do que escapa à representação em Deleuze e Lacan / From anger to the rebellion of desire in the June 3013 event: from what escapes the representation in Deleuze and Lacan

Venera, José Isaías January 2017 (has links)
Investigate the language emploied under vertigo in the protests in June 2013. Movement that presents itself as a cholera time, expressed in the force that mobilizes the crowd in the protests. Therefore, the title "From anger to the rebellion of desire in the June 3013 event: from what escapes the representation in Deleuze and Lacan". To account for this initial problem, to work with what eludes representation and at the same time, this force-significant in the June 2013 event, there is initially the concepts of Real, in Jacques Lacan, and virtual, in Gilles Deleuze. Force that appears in this thesis as problematic object: a stranger who insists, always to return. It starts with the language and its relationship with the representation and the simulacrum as power without template for the second time, working with two concepts that allow us to analyze the strange object in the June 2013 event, ie the quasi-cause deleuzian and the object to Lacanian. This initial arrangement, which (anti) method is the concept of rhizome, is initiated the analysis of sources, divided into three records: the saying; the look; and for the voice. The saying is evidenced both speech acts of demonstrators in the act of escape from the discursive framework of journalists when the very discourse of corporate media from the materials and expert analysis in the search than ever fails, that is, to summarize the events in a possible narrative of closing the meaning, of interpreting the facts without leaving loose ends. The look is already occupy another record and subject's position, now composing the crowd framed the lens of the photographic evenly matched or moving image capture. Following is the speech dispersed the crowd that is lost to make pressing the voice. To account for the voice as invoking drive, or voice as escape expression, amateur videos are taken as material issues for analysis. The words of a member of the Free Pass Movement stand out as the expression of this strange object: "Note there, I am nobody." The view, the Ceci n'est image pas vingt cents, frame retelling This is not a pipe, René Magritte, calls into question the model of representation and for which there will be the beginning of a series of images that operate as schize look. Finally, the proliferation of speeches, divulged in videos produced during the protests, point to the emergence of the voice as the opening of the senseless. The analyzes follow two theoretical assumptions, the philosophy of Deleuze and the psychoanalysis of Lacan, but from these two authors, a new theoretical scene opens to a certain extent following the marked field by Alain Badiou, anti-philosophy, or, perhaps best score as the authors who, on the trail of Nietzsche, seeking to reverse Platonism, which is why the notion of simulacrum gains a certain relevance in this work and for which stands out the critique of the notion of representation. The protests of June 2013 are analyzed in what remains in them as an event, that is, what is not allowed to be symbolized. Apart from this movement of dwelling on what escapes representation, it is important to underscore the notion of interval subject as an effort to interpret the gesture of life that characterizes the contemporaneity. The subject that emerges in the gap between images projected on the black screen of mobile gadgets, as smartphones. When the black screen is activated again after a long time consuming images, a track of the subject is repeated – a spectral image – that soon disappears when it exits the interval. / Submitted by José Isaías Venera (jose.venera@unisul.br) on 2018-03-07T12:32:15Z No. of bitstreams: 2 license_rdf: 811 bytes, checksum: e39d27027a6cc9cb039ad269a5db8e34 (MD5) Tese - Da cólera ao acontecimento junho de 2013.pdf: 3257260 bytes, checksum: b22aa62b50d63c2da4f9a5d42031fb32 (MD5) / Approved for entry into archive by Karina Ramos Wagner (wagner.karina@unisul.br) on 2018-03-08T12:59:04Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 2 license_rdf: 811 bytes, checksum: e39d27027a6cc9cb039ad269a5db8e34 (MD5) Tese - Da cólera ao acontecimento junho de 2013.pdf: 3257260 bytes, checksum: b22aa62b50d63c2da4f9a5d42031fb32 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2018-03-08T12:59:04Z (GMT).

Best Practices Continuing Education Program for Pharmacy Preceptors

Nguyen, Natalie, Renner, Olivia, York, Lawrence, Cooley, Janet January 2014 (has links)
Class of 2014 Abstract / Specific Aims: To increase the use of best practices by pharmacy preceptors within their own settings and to identify if live continuing education presentations are considered superior to other forms of CE presentation. Subjects: Pharmacists attending the “Quest for the Best: Best Practices for Pharmacy Preceptors” CE program at the Arizona Pharmacy Alliance 2013 Annual Convention. Methods: Surveys administered before, after, and 6 months following the CE program collected data concerning the use of syllabi for rotations, the type and quantity of expected projects, frequency of student oversight, and feedback opportunities. Follow-up surveys assessed preferred forms of CE delivery. A survey administered six months following the CE’s conclusion identified changes made at the subjects’ sites as a result of the CE. Main Results: Surveys were completed by 20 pharmacy preceptors (mean years of experience = 5.95; SD = 5.36). 86% of the subjects preferred the live CE; 5% would have preferred the CE be delivered as a webinar. Chi-square testing found no statistically significant difference between pre-CE use of syllabus, frequency of student monitoring, and frequency of given feedback compared to 6-months post-CE (p = 0.59, 0.57, 0.30 respectively). Conclusion: The CE program did not demonstrate a difference among attending pharmacy preceptors in incorporating a syllabus at their site, altering monitoring of student, or time provided for feedback. Live CE was found to be the most desired at imparting best practices to pharmacy preceptors. 86% of responders reported changing their site practices as a result of the CE presentation.

Exergy analysis of the chilean society

Ramírez Ibaceta, Sebastián Eduardo January 2017 (has links)
Ingeniero Civil en Biotecnología / The present report contains an exergy analysis of the Chilean society in 2013. Wall s approach was taken to assess the exergy efficiency of four main economic sectors: mining, manufacturing, transportation, and households. Several assumptions were taken to simplify the complex thermodynamic interactions within the society model. For instance, exergy flows among economic sectors were not considered, due to the lack of relevant statistical data on these interactions. On the other hand, only some of the exergy carriers entering and leaving the society were accounted, as the focus of this work is to provide a first outlook of the Chilean exergy efficiency from a chemical exergy standpoint. An extended exergy analysis (EEA) is proposed for future studies, in order to integrate exergy of labor and capital into the analysis. Statistical power plays an important role in this matter, as key data required to perform an EEA is nowadays unavailable. The efficiency of the society in 2013 was 24%. Comparing with other societies, the Chilean case was found to be in between advanced economies and less developed countries. The current development model is criticized, as the most developed countries previously analyzed have the lowest thermodynamic efficiency. In the long term, a shift of paradigm is expected, fostering local development and educating about resources overconsumption. Regarding Chilean economic sectors, exergy efficiency was found to be higher in extractive activities, such as mining (53%), and manufacturing (53%). In general, exergy efficiency was lower in services and end-use sectors, such as transportation (21%), and households (10%). This is considered to be related with omission of labor in the analysis, as end-use sectors show a higher dependency on human work compared to industrial/extractive activities. Despite of methodological difficulties, interesting suggestions were obtained from the analysis. Structural changes are proposed in the manufacturing sector, to improve the efficiency of transformations carried out in agriculture, livestock, and aquaculture activities. Food industry as a whole would improve its thermodynamic performance if steps in this direction were taken. Likewise, fostering a technological shift towards electric vehicles would imply a much better use of the available resources. In the same way, improvements in water and space heating are desirable, as these two end-uses are the most exergy intensive applications in household consumption.

Stair Column Tower

Branch, L. Nikole 27 August 2013 (has links)
This set of drawings, paintings, and photographs explores the realms of knowledge and experience in architecture through analytical and perceptual means. In other words, how physical, material considerations inform the experience of moving through space, the perception of space, and the memory of place. These themes and questions are considered through the design of an observation tower that punctuates the ambiguous joint between land and water, earth and sky on the southwestern most point on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK. / Master of Architecture
