Ekonomické aspekty pěstování třešně ptačí (Prunus aviumL./ L.) s ohledem na podmínky Přírodních lesních oblastí 30 – Drahanská vrchovina a 35 – Jihomoravské úvaly

Vítková, Kateřina January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis is deals with the economic aspects of the cultivation of Wild Cherry (Prunus avium L.) in the natural forest area 30 – Drahans´s upland and 35 – South Moravia´s ravines. Part of the thesis is an evaluation of the state of the Wild Cherry wood market in the Czech republic and creation of the proposal for foundation and upbringing of Wild Cherry stands. The main documents for the work were Regional works of forest development and Regional forest-typological elaborations for the natural forest areas, data from field measurements and surfy. Wild Cherry wood of Czech republic is insufficient range and the wood is of poor quality very often on the market. This can be considered as one of the reasons why the cherry wood is not interested in the processing of cherry wood, and it is usually custom-made during processing.

Mejía Vallejo, Clara Elena 16 July 2015 (has links)
[EN] Rogelio Salmona and Le Corbusier: about the permeability of the making Abstract Rogelio Salmona was one of the most important architects of the 20th century in Colombia. His work, altogether with the work of some co-generation colleagues, laid the foundation for architecture made there since 1960 which operated a smart cultural synthesis between the principles of the modern movement coming from Europe and the United States and the technical and material potential of the Colombian environment. Rogelio Salmona formed for six years in the studio of Le Corbusier in Paris between 1948 and 1954. After this experience, the architect always claimed to be a disciple, but not a follower of Le Corbusier, even asserting that the most important influence he had received during the years spent in the French capital was from Pierre Francastel, a sociology professor at the École de Hautes Études. This thesis tries to delineate how the influence of Le Corbusier may have operated in the work of the Colombian architect. To do this, first, it is studied in depth the projects in the studio of Le Corbusier in the period between 1948 and 1954 and how they were developed. Secondly we approximate to the state of architecture in Colombia done during the same period, with particular emphasis on the work done by the co-generation colleagues of Rogelio Salmona. Finally the first works by the architect on his return to Colombia and his writings are studied and discussed. After this Itinerary, it is possible to identify several points in common, regarding the approach to the craft of the two architects, described and illustrated by some of their works. In both cases, the approach to the project through the development and editing of a series of pre-set variables leads to a systematic way of doing infinitely rich in possibilities. This research uses this case study to inquire in a broader sense into the mechanisms operating in the transmission of knowledge, on the field of architectural projects. Identification of the G-Protein-Coupled ORL1 Receptor in the Mouse Spinal Cord by [35S]-Gtpγs Binding and Immunohistochemistry

Narita, Minoru, Mizoguchi, Hirokazu, Oji, David E., Narita, Michiko, Dun, Nae J., Hwang, Bang H., Nagase, Hiroshi, Tseng, Leon F. 01 January 1999 (has links)
1. Although the ORL1 receptor is clearly located within the spinal cord, the functional signalling mechanism of the ORL1 receptor in the spinal cord has not been clearly documented. The present study was then to investigate the guanine nucleotide binding protein (G-protein) activation mediated through by the ORL1 receptor in the mouse spinal cord, measuring the modulation of guanosine-5'-o-(3-[35S]-thio) triphosphate ([35S]-GTPγS) binding by the putative endogenous ligand nociceptin, also referred as orphanin FQ. We also studied the anatomical distribution of nociceptin-like immunoreactivity and nociceptin-stimulated [35S]-GTPγS autoradiography in the spinal cord. 2. Immunohistochemical staining of mouse spinal cord sections revealed a dense plexus of nociceptin-like immunoreactive fibres in the superficial layers of the dorsal horn throughout the entire length of the spinal cord. In addition, networks of fibres were seen projecting from the lateral border of the dorsal horn to the lateral grey matter and around the central canal. 3. In vitro [35S]-GTPγS autoradiography showed high levels of nociceptin-stimulated [35S]-GTPγS binding in the superficial layers of the mouse dorsal horn and around the central canal, corresponding to the areas where nociceptin-like immunoreactive fibres were concentrated. 4. In [35S]-GTPγS membrane assay, nociceptin increased [35S]-GTPγS binding of mouse spinal cord membranes in a concentration-dependent and saturable manner, affording maximal stimulation of 64.1 ± 2.4%. This effect was markedly inhibited by the specific ORL1 receptor antagonist [Phe1ψ (CH2-NH) Gly2] nociceptin (1-13) NH2. None of the μ-, δ-, and κ-opioid and other G-protein-coupled receptor antagonists had a significant effect on basal or nociceptin-stimulated [35S]-GTPγS binding. 5. These findings suggest that nociceptin-containing fibres terminate in the superficial layers of the dorsal horn and the central canal and that nociceptin released in these areas may selectively stimulate the ORL1 receptor to activate G-protein. Furthermore, the unique pattern of G-protein activation in the present study provide additional evidence that nociceptin is distinct from the μ-, δ- or κ-opioid system.

Thibault, Arleen 13 April 2018 (has links)

Guérin, Geneviève 16 April 2018 (has links)

Standardizing ICT for Development: Towards the Definition of a Standard Process and Maturity Model for ICTD Projects

Ciaghi, Aaron January 2014 (has links)
The use of ICTs to stimulate socio-economic development has significantly grown in popularity in the recent years and has been boosted by the “mobile revolution” of the last decade. Despite the multi-year experience of academics, donor agencies and businesses, the failure rate of ICT for Development projects is still very high, resulting in a significant waste of resources. The multiple challenges that must be faced simultaneously in these projects make them more difficult than “traditional” ICT projects and recommendations such as best practices to face them have been suggested over the years. Nonetheless, the systematic replicability of these practices has never been addressed and project management and formalized development processes that address the particular challenges of the domain are extremely rare. This thesis presents a Maturity Model derived from the experience of researchers and practitioners, collected through an extensive literature review and interviews, that aims at providing a set of guidelines to be used throughout an ICT for Development intervention to increase the probability of success.

Marcotte, Josée 17 April 2018 (has links)

Use Of Small Format Aerial Photography in NPS Pollution Control Applications

Fu, Youtong 20 March 2003 (has links)
An automated procedure was developed to identify and extract confined poultry facilities from color 35-mm slide imagery collected by the United States Department of Agriculture/Farm Service Agency (USDA/FSA). The imagery is used by the USDA/FSA to monitor compliance with various farm support programs and to determine crop production acreage within a given county. The imagery is generally available for all counties within the state on an annual basis. The imagery, however, is not flown to rigid specifications as flight height, direction, and overlap can vary significantly. The USDA/FSA attempts to collect imagery with reasonably clear skies, as visual interpretations could be drastically impacted by cloudiness. The goal of this study was to develop procedures to effectively utilize this imagery base to identify and extract poultry facilities using automated techniques based on image processing and GIS. The procedure involved pre-screening the slides to determine coverage, geopositioning to USGS quadrangle base, color scanning to convert slide image to a digital format and archiving each data file with a naming convention that would allow rapid retrieval in later analysis. Image processing techniques were developed for identifying poultry facilities based on spectral characteristics. GIS tools were used to select poultry facilities from an array of features with similar spectral characteristics. A training data set was selected from which the spectral characteristics of poultry facilities were analyzed and compared with background conditions. Poultry facilities were found to have distinguishable characteristics. Descriptive statistics were used to define the range of spectral characteristics encompassing poultry facilities. Thresholding analyses were then utilized to eliminate all image features with spectral characteristics outside of this range. Additional analyses were made to remove noise in the spectral image due to the sun angle, line of sight of camera, variation in roof reflectance due to rust and/or aging, shading by trees, etc. A primary objective in these analyses was to enhance the spectral characteristics for the poultry facility while, at the same time, retaining physical characteristics, i.e. the spectral characteristic is represented by a single blue color with a high brightness value. The techniques developed to achieve a single blue color involved the use of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) on the red color band followed by RGB to Hue and RGB to Saturation analyses on the red and green color bands, respectively, from the resulting image. The features remaining from this series of analyses were converted into polygons (shape file) using ArcView GIS, which was then used to calculate the area and perimeter of each polygon. The parameters utilized to describe the shape of a poultry house included width, length, compactness, length-width ratio, and polygon centroid analysis. Poultry facilities were found to have an average width of approximately 12.6m with a low standard deviation indicating that the widths of all houses were very similar. The length of poultry facilities ranged from 63m to 261m with and average length of 149m. The compactness parameter, which also is related to length and width, ranged from 30 to 130 with a mean value of approximately 57. The shape parameters were used by ArcView GIS to identify polygons that represent poultry facilities. The order of selection was found to be compactness followed by length-width ratio and polygon centroid analysis. A data set that included thirty 35-mm slide images randomly selected from the Rockingham County data set, which contained over 2000 slides, was used to evaluate the automated procedure. The slides contained 182 poultry houses previously identified through manual procedures. Seven facilities were missed and 175 were correctly identified. Ninety-seven percent (97%) of existing poultry facilities were correctly identified which compares favorably with the 97 % accuracy resulted by manual procedures. . The manual procedure described by Mostaghimi, et. al.(1999) only gave the center coordinates for each poultry facility. The automated procedure not only gives the center coordinate for each poultry building but also gives estimates for geometric parameters area, length and width along with an estimate of the capacity of building (i.e. number of birds), and waste load generated by birds including nutrient and bacteria content. The nutrient and bacteria load generated by each poultry facility is important information for conducting TMDL studies currently being developed for impaired Virginia streams. The information is expected to be very helpful to consultants and state agencies conducting the studies. Agricultural support agencies such as USDA/NRCS and USDA/FSA, Extension Service, consultants, etc. will find the information very helpful in the development of implementation plans designed to meet TMDL target water quality goals. The data also should be useful to Water Authorities for selection of appropriate treatment of water supplies and to county and local government jurisdictions for developing policies to minimize the degradation of water supplies. / Ph. Marier la source et la blessure

Archambault, Denise 20 April 2018 (has links)
