In dieser Arbeit wurde eine neue fehleranalytische Methode zur industriellen Anwendung an neuen Technologien der Aufbau- und Verbindungstechnik entwickelt. Das Verfahren basiert auf der Wechselwirkung von thermischen Wellen und Defekten. Die Besonderheit ist dabei die Zerstörungsfreiheit, die Geschwindigkeit, das Auflösungsvermögen und die durch neueste IR-Detektoren erreichte Temperaturempfindlichkeit. Es wurden grundlegende Studien bezüglich Auflösung und parasitären Effekten bei der Anwendung unter industriellen Randbedingungen durchgeführt. Dabei wurde eine systematische Vorgehensweise bezüglich der Komplexität gewählt. Dies ermöglicht nun u.a. eine Vorhersage der zu erwartenden Prüfdauer zur Auflösung vergrabener Defekte, der Begrenzung der maximalen Anregungsimpulsbreite (bei gegebener Defekttiefe) und die quantitative Ermittlung des Einflusses einer Lackschicht. Methodisch kamen grundsätzlich Simulationen und vergleichende Experimente zum Einsatz. Es wurden spezielle Proben zur Isolierung und Klärung parasitärer Effekte verwendet. Letztlich konnte das Messsystem erfolgreich an industriellen Problemstellung demonstriert werden. Das entwickelte Messsystem zeichnet sich durch hohe Flexibilität aus. Verschiedene problemangepasste Anregungsquellen (interne und externe Anregung durch zahlreiche physikalische Effekte) kommen zum Einsatz. Das Messsystem besteht aus vier Hauptmodulen, der Differenzbild-Methode, der Impulsthermografie, und zwei Varianten der LockIn-Thermografie. Zusammen ist das System in der Lage, Voids, Delaminationen und Risse in verschiedenen Bereichen auch der modernen AVT sicher zu erkennen. Es werden dabei Temperaturauflösugnen bis zu 5 mK und laterale Auflösungen bis 17 µm erreicht. Diese Arbeit legt einen Grundstein für die Anwendung der thermischen Fehleranalytik in der Industrie, indem hier die Grenzen der IR-Messtechnik aufgezeigt und charakterisiert werden. / In this work a new failure analytical method for the industrial application of new technologies in electronic packaging has been developed. The developed method is based on the interaction of the thermal waves and defects. The special fature is non-destructive, speed, resolution and high temperature sensitivity due to latest IR-detectors. It fundamental studies regarding resolution and parasitic effects in the application were carried out cinsidering industrial conditions. Here, a systematic approach regarding the complexity has been selected. This now enables a prediction of the expected test period for detecting buried defects, limits for excitation pulse width (for a given defect depth) and the quantitative determination of the influence of parasitic paints. Methodically always simulations and comparative experiments were used. Simple samples for the isolation and purification of parasitic effects has been used. Finally, the measurement system has been successfully demonstrated on an industrial applications. The developed measurement system is characterized by high flexibility. Different problem-adapted excitation sources (internal and external excitation by numerous physical effects) are used. The measurement system currently consists of four main modules, the difference image method, the pulse thermography, and two variants of LockIn-thermography. Together, the system is capable of detecting voids, delaminations and cracks in various fields of electronic packageing. It will reach temperature resolutions up to 5 mK and lateral resolutions down to 17 µm. This work stes a foundation for the application of thermal failure analysis for industry by showing and charcterization the limits of IR imaging.

Formation et comportement de nanoparticules dans un plasma: Instabilités dans les plasmas poudreux.

L'objectif de cette thèse est l'étude de la formation de nanoparticules carbonées dans un plasma basse pression. Les poussières sont créées par pulvérisation d'une couche de polymère deposée sur l' électrode d'une décharge radio-fréquence à couplage capacitif. La présence des poudres perturbe et modifie les propriétés du plasma. La croissance des poudres peut notamment déclencher des instabilités basse fréquence qui évoluent avec la taille et la densité des poudres. Au centre du plasma, une région sans poudre, appelée void, est souvent observée. Cette région se caractérise en particulier par une forte luminosité. Différents diagnostics (mesures électriques, imagerie video rapide, Fluorescence Induite par Laser) sont utilisés afin d'analyser ces différents comportements résultant des interactions entre le plasma et les poussières. L'analyse approfondie des instabilités a permis de mettre en évidence plusieurs régimes et d'extraire leurs principales caractéristiques comme leur durée et l' évolution de leurs fréquences. Ces instabilités se traduisent par la formation de petites "boules" de plasma qui se déplacent et interagissent au sein de celui-ci. Des phénomènes particulièrement surprenants de fusion et de division de ces boules ont été mis en évidence. Concernant le void, nos travaux ont con firmé la forte excitation présente dans cette zone. Dans la dernière partie de la thèse, la dissociation de l'aluminium triisopropoxide (ATI) est étudiée dans un plasma à l'aide de la Spectroscopie Infrarouge à Transformée de Fourier. Ce diagnostic nous a permis de mettre en évidence l' évolution de la densité d'ATI en fonction des paramètres de la décharge. Nous avons également quantifié les différents composants hydrocarbonés formés par polymérisation.

Evaluation of Test Methods for De-icer Scaling Resistance of Concrete

The standard ASTM C672 de-icer salt scaling resistance test has been found to be overly aggressive to concretes containing slag cement. It was compared to the newly proposed ASTM WK9367 method, based on the Quebec BNQ test, as well as several modifications, including use of an accelerated curing regime developed in Virginia (VADOT). Sixteen concrete mixtures were studied using high-alkali cement, low-alkali cement, grade 100 slag and grade 120 slag with slag contents of 0%, 20%, 35% and 50%. Vinsol resin air-entraining admixture was compared to Micro Air®. Reducing the water cement ratio from 0.42 to 0.38 had the biggest impact on improving scaling resistance of slag concretes. In general, increased slag contents increased scaling regardless of the test method used. The Micro Air® admixture provided a lower air void actor and higher hardened air content compared to Vinsol resin.

Estudo da influencia de diferentes composições de agregados na obtenção e caracterização do concreto autoadensável / Study of influence of different compositions of aggregates in obtaining and characterization of self compact concrete

In the face of technological advances in concrete science emerged so-called special concretes and, among these, the self-compacting concrete (SCC), developed in Japan in the 1980s. This concrete is currently considered one of the greatest advances in concrete technology in view of its numerous advantages (decrease of construction duration, decrease of concreting labor, improvement of the working environment, improvement of the quality and durability of structures etc.). The production of SCC requires different mix design methods related to those applied for conventional concrete. Among these differences are highlighted the determination of the aggregate compositions and the addition of fine materials and chemical admixtures. In the case of determining the aggregate composition, the method of unit mass has been applied in SCC. However, it is common the use of this method in binary combinations, but for ternary and quaternary combinations it is quite limited. Thus, this work aimed to analyze the influence of different combinations and compositions of aggregates, determined by the method of unit mass and void ratio, to obtaining and characterization of SCC. For this, initially the procedures of the method was standardized. It was used two types of natural fine and coarse aggregates with different physical characteristics. It was produced 9 different aggregate compositions, four binary, ternary and quaternary four. For each composition, one SCC was formulated, based on previous dosage studies. The selfcompactability properties of the concrete were analyzed by spreading, V funnel test and L box test. In case hardened state the compressive strength was determined. The results showed that different methods of execution procedures showed no differences. The method of unit mass proved to be efficient in determining aggregate compositions to supply the SCC. For the same volume and paste composition (cement, water, chemical and mineral admixtures) the quaternary composition was the most efficient in meeting the properties of selfcompactability and compressive strength. / Diante dos avanços tecnológicos na ciência do concreto surgiram os chamados concretos especiais e, dentre estes, pode-se citar o concreto autoadensável (CAA), desenvolvido no Japão, na década de 1980. Este concreto é atualmente considerado um dos maiores avanços na tecnologia do concreto tendo em vista as suas inúmeras vantagens (diminuição do tempo da obra, diminuição da mão de obra de concretagem, melhora o ambiente de trabalho, melhora a qualidade e durabilidade da estrutura e etc.). A obtenção do CAA requer métodos de dosagens diferentes dos aplicados em concretos convencionais. Dentre essas diferenças se destacam a determinação das composições de agregados e a adição de materiais finos e aditivos químicos. Em se tratando da determinação da composição de agregados o método da massa unitária vem sendo aplicado em CAA. Entretanto é comum sua utilização em combinações binárias, já para combinações ternárias e quaternárias é bastante limitado. Neste sentido, foram analisadas diferentes combinações e composições de agregados, determinadas pelo método da massa unitária e do índice de vazios, na obtenção e caracterização de CAA. Para isso, inicialmente procurou-se padronizar os procedimentos de execução do método. Utilizou-se dois tipos de agregados miúdos e graúdos naturais com diferentes características físicas, sendo produzidas 9 composições distintas, sendo quatro binárias, quatro ternárias e uma quaternária. Para cada composição foi formulado um CAA, tomando como base a dosagem em estudos prévios. As propriedades de autoadensabilidade do concreto foram analisadas através dos ensaios de espalhamento, funil V e caixa L. No estado endurecido a resistência à compressão foi determinada. Os resultados mostraram que os diferentes procedimentos de execução do método não apresentaram divergências. O método da massa unitária mostrou-se eficiente na determinação de composições de agregado para atendimento ao CAA. Para um mesmo volume e composição de pasta (cimento, água, aditivos e adições) a composição quaternária foi a mais eficiente no atendimento às propriedades de autoadensabilidade e resistência à compressão.

Conciliation proceedings known as special type of civil procedure does not get too much attention. This problem can be seen from many perspectives. This diploma thesis strives to clarify nature of conciliation proceedings, showing its course and benefits. It tries to offer more comrehensive interpretation of it to non-professionals. All this to support the usage of conciliation proceedings. This actual problem underlines the effort of the legislator to support mediation to the prejudice of conciliation proceedings. Thus this thesis focuses on links between conciliation proceedings and mediation with comparison to benefits and disadvantages of both institutes. From this can be shown an increasing downfall of conciliation proceedings with absence to find support for more usage of this type of conciliatory resolution of dispute. This thesis not only focuses on clarification of nature of conciliation proceedings, it also tries to explain in which conciliation proceedings stands out and how it can help to solve disputes in conciliatory way, which can be seen like a good solution in many situations. At the same time this theses strives to give more coherent perspective on this institute of civil procedural law with drawing attention to course of conciliation proceedings based on practical part. A modulação temporal de efeitos como técnica de decisão possibilita ao Supremo Tribunal Federal a mitigação dos efeitos retroativos da declaração de inconstitucionalidade, ao mesmo tempo em que resguarda o princípio da supremacia da Constituição. Nos casos em que há mudança de jurisprudência, atua como importante mecanismo de salvaguarda das legítimas expectativas dos jurisdicionados na estabilidade dos julgados do Tribunal Constitucional. Em ambas as hipóteses, concretiza o princípio da segurança jurídica, inclusive na sua vertente subjetiva, a proteção da confiança legítima e assegura a melhor realização dos interesses públicos, próprios de uma sociedade pluralista. / The prospective doctrine as a decision technique makes possible the mitigation of the retroactive effects of the unconstitutionality declaration to the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court, at the same time it protects the Constitution supremacy principle. In cases with statement of overruling precedents, it plays an important role in protecting the legitimate expectations of the citizens in the stability of the Constitutional Court precedents. In both cases, it enforces the principle of legal certainty, including its subjective aspect, the legitimate confidence protection and it assures the best fulfilment of the public interests that are typical of a pluralist society.

O instituto de benefício particular nas assembléias gerais de sociedades anônimas / The private benefits regulation in general meetings of corporations

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo traçar os principais contornos do instituto do benefício particular, positivado na legislação brasileira por meio do artigo 115, §1º, da Lei n. 6.404/76, diferenciando-o do instituto relativo ao interesse conflitante nas sociedades, insculpido no mesmo dispositivo supra citado. A partir da análise do Direito Comparado, constatou-se que o benefício particular, tal como o conhecemos hoje no Brasil, tem origem na legislação francesa, especificamente nas Leis de 17 de julho de 1956 e 24 de julho de 1867. Os contornos de sua conceituação, portanto, estão intimamente ligados às razões de ordem histórica e teleológica que levaram o legislador estrangeiro a criá-lo, o qual visava, à época, afastar os abusos e inconveniências decorrentes da aprovação, em assembleia, de vantagens especiais e exclusivas pelo próprio sócio beneficiário dessas vantagens. Complementarmente, por meio da análise e interpretação sistemática da legislação societária brasileira e de outras fontes de direito disponibilizadas, como a doutrina e a jurisprudência, pôde-se definir algumas das características mais marcantes do instituto, das quais se pode destacar a licitude, a gratuidade e o caráter social das vantagens a ele associadas, garantindo ao beneficiado acesso aos fundos sociais. Em paralelo, para fins de mera comparação com o instituto do benefício particular, foram abordados alguns aspectos relativos ao instituto do conflito de interesses, reafirmando conceitos doutrinários já sedimentados acerca do alcance do interesse social e procurando, a partir da análise da legislação brasileira e comparada, fixar alguns elementos intrínsecos a esse instituto, tal como a ilicitude e o caráter extrassocial da vantagem visada pelo acionista conflitado. Comparando as características do benefício particular e do conflito de interesses, pode-se concluir que, apesar da aparente semelhança que carregam, tratam-se de institutos distintos, que regulam situações diversas, não podendo ser confundidos ou tomados um pelo outro, sendo possível, de fato, se estabelecer um critério relativamente seguro para distingui-los entre si, conferindo uma maior segurança jurídica aos aplicadores do direito, evitando-se, assim, algumas interpretações equivocadas acerca dos institutos, tais como aqueles constantes nos posicionamentos da Comissão de Valores Mobiliários analisados ao final desse trabalho. / The current paper has the sole purpose of designing the main lines of the private benefits regulation, reaffirmed by means of Act 115, §1st, in the Brazilian law number 6.404/76, distinguishing it from institutions that relate to conflicting partnership interests, comprehended by the same aforementioned Act. From assessing the Paired Law regulation, it has been understood that the private benefits, such as it is currently recognized in Brazil, is based on the French legislation, more specifically on the July 17, 1956 and July 24, 1867 Acts. Therefore, the contours of its conceptualism are intimately connected to historic and teleological reasoning that took the foreign regulator to create it and which aimed, at that time, to keep away abuse and inconveniences resulting from the approval, in an shareholders meeting, of special and exclusive advantages by their own beneficiary parties. In addition, by means of systematically assessing and interpreting the Brazilian Corporate Law and other Law resources made available, such as the Law doctrine and jurisprudence, it was possible to determine some of the most outstanding characteristics of such an institute, among which the lawfulness, gratuity and social character of the advantages associated with it can be highlighted, thus assuring the access of the beneficiary party to social funds. In parallel, by means of solely comparing the private benefits regulation, some aspects regarding the conflict of interests were also assessed, reaffirming doctrine concepts about the reach of social interests that are already established and trying to determine, by means of analyzing the Brazilian Corporate Law and Paired Law, some of the elements that are inherent to that establishment, such as its wrongfulness and the extrasocial character of the advantage pledged by the conflicting party. By pairing the characteristics of private benefits and the conflict of interests, it is concluded that, despite their apparent similarities, those are distinct institutes that regulate diverse situations, which cannot be confused or taken by one another and, in fact, it is possible to establish a relatively safe criteria to differentiate both, thus providing greater judicial accuracy to Law enforcers, and this way avoiding misinterpretation of regulation, such as those that are common to the positioning of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission that are analyzed in the end of this paper.

Estudo teórico e experimental dos processos de compactação e sinterização do politetrafluoretileno (PTFE) / Theoretical and experimental study of the compaction and sintering processes of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE)

Este trabalho apresenta um estudo dos processos de prensagem e sinterização do politetrafluoretileno (PTFE) com o objetivo principal de investigar a influência dos parâmetros desses processos na microestrutura e nas propriedades mecânicas do material após sinterização. O PTFE faz parte do grupo dos termoplásticos, mas assim como outros polímeros de alto peso molecular, apresenta elevada viscosidade no estado fundido que impede sua utilização em moldagem por injeção, e seu processamento é realizado por compactação a frio do pó polimérico seguida de sinterização. No processo de sinterização é aplicado um tratamento térmico acima da temperatura de fusão do material que é responsável por grandes deformações anisotrópicas que, por sua vez, são dependentes do histórico de carregamentos induzidos na fase de compactação. Com o objetivo de desenvolver modelos de comportamento termomecânicos para realizar simulações computacionais dessas etapas de fabricação, ensaios experimentais foram realizados para se investigar os diferentes mecanismos de evolução microestrutural e de deformações nas etapas de compactação e sinterização. O estudo experimental do processo de compactação compreendeu a realização de ensaios de compactação uniaxial (oedométrico), de compactação hidrostática em prensa isostática e ensaios triaxiais verdadeiros em um dispositivo original acoplado numa prensa triaxial com seis atuadores eletrohidráulicos. Através dos resultados obtidos dos ensaios de compactação foi possível identificar os parâmetros do modelo de Drucker-Prager/cap, disponível na biblioteca de leis de comportamento do programa de cálculo pelo método dos elementos finitos ABAQUSTM, que permitiu de simular numericamente alguns casos simples. O estudo experimental do processo de sinterização foi realizado com o auxílio de ensaios de termogravimetria (TGA), calorimetria exploratória diferencial (DSC) e ensaios de dilatometria em corpos-de-prova isótropos e anisótropos com diferentes índices de vazios. Através dos resultados obtidos destes ensaios foi possível identificar que a deformação global de sinterização é composta por uma deformação térmica reversível, uma deformação devido à mudança de fase cristalina em fase amorfa -ou vice-versa-, uma deformação devido ao fechamento dos vazios e uma deformação de recuperação. Este estudo foi realizado em dois tipos de materiais, sendo o PTFE puro e o PTFE reforçado com 5wt% de EkonolTM e 5wt% de fibras de carbono, respectivamente comercializados pelos nomes de TeflonTM 6407 e TeflonTM 6507. / The main objective of this work is to study the influence the process parameters on the microstructure and the mechanical properties of components manufactured by compaction at room temperature and sintering of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). Similary to other High Molecular Weight Polymers and although it belongs to the group of thermoplastic polymers, since it cannot be processed in the melt state because its very high viscosity, PTFE, is powder processed -that consists in sintering compacted powder-. Sintering corresponds to a heat treatment up to temperatures higher than the melting temprature, inducing finite deformations that are generally anistropic and dependent on the mechanical loading the material has been submitted to during the pre-compaction at room temperature. In order to develop thermo-mechanical constitutive equations that could be used during predictive numerical simulations of the whole process, different tests have been performed to study the different mechanisms that are responsible for microstructural evolutions and deformations during compaction and sintering. The experimental study of the compaction has been performed via uniaxial (oedometric) compaction tests, hydrostatic compaction tests that were made with an isostatic hydraulic press and triaxial tests that were made with and original device installed on an electrohydraulic testing machine six actuators. A \"Drucker-Prager/cap\" type elasto-plastic model -as available in the constitutiveequations library of ABAQUSTM industrial finite element software- has been identified from the results of these tests, so that a few simple cases have been numerically simulated. The experimental study of the sintering process has been performed via Thermo-Gravimetric Analyses (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetric analyses (DSC) and dilatometry tests that were performed on isotropic or anisotropic specimens with different values of the porosity From the results of these tests it has been possible to decompose the sintering deformation into different mechanisms, viz. a reversible thermal expansion, a strain that is linked to the transition from the crystalline phase to the amorphous phase -or vice versa-, a pore closure strain and a recovery strain. This study has been performed on a powder made of pure PTFE and a powder of PTFE filed with 5wt% EkonolTM and 5wt% of carbon fibres, respectively available as TeflonTM 6407 and TeflonTM 6507.
