Microfluidic devices could find applications in many areas, such as BioMEMs, miniature fuel cells and microfluidic cooling of electronic circuitry. One of the important considerations of microfluidic device in analytical and bioanalytical chemistry is the dispersion of solute. In this study, we have developed an analytical solution, which considers the axial dispersion of a solute along the flow direction, to simulate convection and diffusion transport in a pressure driven creeping flow for a rectangular shape slit. During flow, the balance of competing effects of diffusion (especially cross-section diffusion) and convective diffusion in the flow direction are investigated. / Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA)

¡@Business process doesn¡¦t change with technology or business objectives following with the change of environment outside enterprises. Hence, enterprises require business process improvement or BPR to improve the existing business processes. When enterprises demand business process improvement or BPR, they can¡¦t analyze and improve business process without business process modeling. Choosing an adequate tool form numerous business process modeling and analysis tools is an important work. Therefore, author chooses 4 mature tools, ARIS, IDEF, UML and INCOME to discuss. ¡@In my thesis, author enumerate the advantages and comment of each tool at first, then using a material requiring and purchasing to stock process as an example to prove the advantages. Then, Based on the 4 perspectives concluded by Curtis and Kellner, et al. to develop further factors under each perspective. Concluding the evaluating criteria under each factor to evaluate business process modeling tools. And to present each tools about business process modeling.

This Master Thesis focuses on the process management in the selected company. Basic terms of the process management are identified and the main tools for process modelling are described in the Thesis. ARIS Express which is used for mapping and optimizing of selected processes is described in more details. The thesis contains basic information about the company and describes the department in which selected processes are mapped. The main part is focused on analysis of the selected processes, a suggestion for process optimization along with metrics for the establishment of optimized processes. In conclusion a summary of all findings is introduced. The evaluation of the contribution of the Thesis for selected processes improvement by the management of XEROX CZECH REPUBLIC s. r. o. is introduced too.

The final thesis is focused on the topic of process management and its development in time. Business Process Management and workflow, are described in the thesis as well as its specification and classification. The paper compares these two concepts. The thesis also works with the methodology of ARIS and Balanced Scorecard which are applied in the selected process of the organization. The process is built on the BPMN notation which is also described in the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to examine and to analyze selected process of the organization with specific methodology, to specify potential problems in the process and to suggest possible solution.

An incentive for origin of this diploma work was an effort to bring a solution for a troubleshooting area in an international IT company ́s process management where the author was working for more than one and half year and which subsidiary is based in the Czech Republic. The goal of the work is not even to bring a solution in a form of redesign below spcificated process area with suggestion for implementation, but also to bring the reader overview on one possible way how to design and model processes implemented by a certain company. The private objective of the author is to enlarge her own experience with analysis and process modelling portfolio. Goals were achieved by study of a lot of internal resources in a form of documents, documentation and also by study of a scientific literature and scientific topics published in Internet. Moreover there was needed to realize several interviews with employees, analyze all founded information and suggest a solution with regards to given conditions and restrictions. A contribution of this work is in a transparent elaboration of a given reengineering ́s problems, starting with methodics designed for reengineering, through tools used for modelling to solution of a practical task. This work also reveals a process management approach one of the top IT company effecting the international markets, also with description of methods and tools used to it ́s support.

Цель исследования – разработка инвестиционного проекта автоматизации бизнес-процессов на сельскохозяйственном предприятии. Научная новизна выпускной квалификационной работы заключается в определении требований для выбора системы автоматизации предприятия сельскохозяйственного производственного кооператива; определении этапов схемы автоматизации бизнес-процессов организации при ее присоединении к экосистеме; разработке методологии автоматизации внешних бизнес-процессов организации при ее присоединении к экосистеме; составлении бизнес-плана инвестиционного проекта, отвечающего всем заданным параметрам автоматизации бизнес-процессов предприятия. Эффективность исследовательской работы состоит в оптимизации маркетинговой деятельности СПК «Птицесовхоз «Скатинский»» в следствие использования предоставляемых бизнес-экосистемой современных методов работы сельскохозяйственных предприятий, а именно расширение рынка сбыта продукции, продвижение услуг в условиях ограниченного спроса и возможность цифрового управления сельскохозяйственным предприятием. / The purpose of the study is to develop an investment project for the automation of business processes at an agricultural enterprise. The scientific novelty of the final qualification work consists in determining the requirements for choosing an automation system for an agricultural production cooperative enterprise; determining the stages of an organization's business process automation scheme when it joins the ecosystem; developing a methodology for automating the organization's external business processes when it joins the ecosystem; drawing up a business plan for an investment project that meets all the specified parameters of automation of business processes of the enterprise. The effectiveness of the research work consists in optimizing the marketing activities of the SEC "Poultry Farm "Skatinsky"" as a result of the use of modern methods of work of agricultural enterprises provided by the business ecosystem, namely, the expansion of the market for products, the promotion of services in conditions of limited demand and the possibility of digital management of an agricultural enterprise.

Abstract The conception of government programs to be transferred in public services is the common key processes among the hierarchal government of Taiwan. This research chooses Kaohsiung City Government as the case study. By using the method of processes modeling IDEF0 (Function Modeling) of IDEF Integrated Definition for Function Modeling of manufacturing industry, the paper analyses the hierarchal structure of the case. By adopting the concept of functional process of IDEF3 (Process Description Capture), it describes the structures of various hierarchies and processes.By using business process concepts of organization view, function view and control view of ARIS (Architecture of Integrated Information System) ¡Athe paper describes the process components. The research¡¦s structured concept by method of processes modeling IDEF and ARIS, as well as the expression in chart and diagram language to reveal the difficult points of problems, integrate every communication views of cross professionals. Having made deep interviews with the critical persons of every case processes, the paper come to understand the problems while practicing the integrated processes of ¡§medium and long-term programs¡¨ , ¡§annual preliminary programs ¡¨ ,¡§annual administrative outlines and programs¡¨ , ¡§annual budget¡¨ , ¡§annual implement and evaluation of programs¡¨ , ¡§performance assessment,¡¨ etc. Referring to the e-government and network government of United States and Singapore, adopting their actions and strategic concepts, meeting the environmental context and the new competition standards --- ¡§time¡¨ and ¡§knowledge¡¨, the case of Kaohsiung City Government can be transferred its weaked structure to competitive superiorities. This research investigates the space and direction for local governments of key process reengineering ,and be transferred in related factors and structural functions of process reengineering. This is a basic research for local governments reengineering of Taiwan.

The majority of organizations make their business processes explicit to improve them. Defining business processes manually and modeling them are two alternatives utilized for this purpose. Meanwhile, organizations have quality management systems which are frequently shaped by frameworks. The most commonly used process improvement frameworks in the IT sector are ITIL, Cobit, CMMI and ISO 9001. These frameworks indicate the necessity of process documentation and ISO 9001 addresses the name &ldquo / Quality Manual&rdquo / for this purpose. In this thesis, an automated tool is developed for quality manual generation from predetermined business process models. In addition, a case study is performed by means of a systematic approach and its results were discussed with the findings of structured interviews. The aim of the study is to reduce the effort and time required for quality manual preparation and merge quality management activities with process modeling by means of process documentation.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Untersuchung ist es, die Jahresabschlussprüfung als Prozess der Informationsverarbeitung darzustellen und diesen Prozess zu analysieren. Es wird betrachtet, ob und auf welche Art und Weise durch zielorientierte Konstruktion eines Anwendungssystems zur Unterstützung der Abschlussprüfung die Effektivität und Effizienz des Prüfungsprozesses erhöht werden kann. Dabei werden ausgehend von einer Informationsbedarfsanalyse sämtliche denkbaren Möglichkeiten des Einsatzes prüfungsunterstützender Anwen-dungssysteme untersucht. Auf dieser Basis wird im Hauptteil der Untersuchung ein fachkonzeptuelles Modell eines prüfungsunterstützenden Anwendungssystems unter Zugrunde-legung der ARIS-Methode modelliert. Die Arbeit wurde im Jahre 2002 an der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der TU Dresden als Dissertation angenommen.

This thesis deals with reengineering of Erasmsus process framework and conceptual design of its information support. Analytical part is focused to description of current state of ERASMUS programme and European education system. In the same part, advantages and shortcomings of current situation are analyzed. The output of this analysis is set of strengths and weaknesses of current solution. Based on this information, the conceptual design of the information support core is designed. At the end, potential further steps of designing of this project are discussed.
