O adolescente em conflito com a lei e a escola: criminaliza??o e inclus?o perversa

The research was developed in the Community-based Assisted Freedom Program of Pastoral do Menor , in Fortaleza (capital city of Cear? State, Brazil). The study has engaged 21 adolescents, eight program professionals, three members of the Center for Defense of Child Rights in Cear?, five teachers and eight school principals and education managers from the schools attended by the adolescents in the neighborhoods of Pirambu, Tancredo Neves, Jardim Iracema e Bom Jardim. It intends, based on dialectical and historical method, to define the investigated adolescents as persons with a very singular insertion into the social structures of neoliberal capitalism. Their adolescence is subject to consumerism appeals, to the limits imposed by these appeals and to perverse ways of insertion in the system, such as criminalization, segregation and marginalization. It reveals that the school attended by the adolescents reproduces such conditions of insertion. At the same time, these conditions are elements of identity, by which the adolescents are characterized. / O presente estudo trata de uma investiga??o que visa identificar a rela??o entre adolescentes em conflito com a lei, cumprindo medida socioeducativa de liberdade assistida, e a escola. Foi desenvolvido no Programa de Liberdade Assistida Comunit?ria da Pastoral do Menor de Fortaleza CE -, e dele participaram 21 adolescentes, sete familiares, oito t?cnicos do Programa, tr?s membros do Centro de Defesa da Crian?a e do Adolescente do Cear?, cinco professores e oito diretores e coordenadores das escolas freq?entadas pelos adolescentes, nos bairros Pirambu, Tancredo Neves, Jardim Iracema e Bom Jardim. Busca-se, fundamentados no m?todo hist?rico e dial?tico, caracterizar os adolescentes estudados enquanto pessoas que t?m uma inser??o particular na estrutura social do capitalismo neoliberal, em que sua adolesc?ncia se encontra sujeita aos apelos de consumo, aos limites em face deles, e ?s formas perversas de inser??o no sistema, como a criminaliza??o, a segrega??o e a marginaliza??o. In Rio Grande do Norte state, a study carried out by Dutra (1999) investigated suicide rates among youngsters and found that in 1997 alone 244 cases of suicide attempt were registered. The author took an interest in studying this phenomenon among adolescents after reviewing Dutra s study and the technical literature on suicide. In addition to that, another topic caught her attention and raised new research questions: suicide attempts motivated by love, i.e., the end of a relationship, the fantasy of being abandoned by a partner. These have made the author to question how love manifested itself among adolescents and how it could become a reason for adolescents to give up their lives. Based on the data she analyzed and the research questions she developed, her research objective was to understand how adolescents who have attempted suicide because of love-related reasons have gone through this experience. The theoretical reference for the research was the Client-centered Therapy and more specifically, the construct self , according to Carl Rogers. The methodological strategy was inspired by the existential-phenomenological strategy. It used the narrative as a research instrument, inspired by the work of Walter Benjamim (1994) which was developed into a research strategy by Schmidt (1990). Four youngsters (three male and one female) have participated in this study. They have attempted suicide for love-related reasons during dolescence, when they were 12 to 18 years old. The interviews were recorded on cassette tapes, transcribed and literalized into narratives. The understanding of the narratives was based on the meanings that emerged from the youngsters speeches, as well as from the moments that touched the author. These moments highlighted the meaning of the experience of giving up life and the experience of love-based relationship as experienced by the youngsters. The study detected, among the adolescents who were interviewed, the existence of impulsiveness related to the suicide attempt. Also, the majority of the interviewees came from unstructured family backgrounds and had lost of one of their parents or had to face their parents divorce. The suicide was attempted by these youngsters through the ingestion of medicines. The research also revealed that the youngsters had regretted attempting suicide and felt guilty about it. With regards to their self-evaluation, the author observed that the youngsters had low self-esteem, negative perceptions about themselves and distorted views of themselves. These findings helped the author to reflect on the close relationship between the construct self and the suicide attempt. She also observed that a few factors, i.e., family context, education, social and cultural values, have influenced the way the youngsters perceived themselves . The results of this research confirm the idea that we have to understand the suicide attempt as a multi-determined phenomenon. This study contributed to the analysis and reflection on the factors that contribute to suicide attempts thus providing a foundation for the development of public health programs and policies to deal with this topic / Os ?ndices de suic?dio t?m crescido em todo o mundo. Tais dados, associados ? leitura de artigos e de estudiosos do suic?dio nos chamaram a aten??o para o estudo de tal fen?meno na adolesc?ncia. Al?m deste, um outro ponto passou a provocar questionamentos: a tentativa de suic?dio relacionada ? motivos amorosos o fim de um relacionamento amoroso ou a fantasia de abandono do parceiro , nos fez pensar acerca da forma como o amor se expressa entre os adolescentes, podendo tornar-se um motivo ou raz?o para que se desista de viver. Com base nesses dados e questionamentos, o nosso objetivo nesta pesquisa consistiu em compreender como adolescentes que tentaram suic?dio por quest?es amorosas vivenciaram essa experi?ncia. Para tanto, adotamos como referencial te?rico a Abordagem Centrada na Pessoa e, mais especificamente, o construto self, segundo o pensamento de Carl Rogers. A estrat?gia metodol?gica utilizada teve inspira??o fenomenol?gico-existencial, utilizando-se como instrumento de pesquisa a narrativa, inspirada em Walter Benjamim (1994) e desenvolvida como estrat?gia de pesquisa por Schmidt (1990). Participaram do presente estudo quatro jovens (tr?s do sexo feminino e um do sexo masculino), que tentaram suic?dio devido a quest?es amorosas, durante a adolesc?ncia, quando tinham entre 12 e 18 anos. As entrevistas foram gravadas em fitas cassete, transcritas e, posteriormente, literalizadas em forma de narrativas. A compreens?o das narrativas teve como base os sentidos que emergiram da fala dos jovens, bem como os momentos que nos afetaram, indicando o sentido da experi?ncia da desist?ncia de viver, e a experi?ncia da rela??o amorosa tal como vivenciada por eles. O estudo evidenciou, dentre muitos aspectos, entre os adolescentes estudados, a presen?a de impulsividade com rela??o ao ato suicida; o fato de que estes jovens eram provenientes de fam?lias com perdas parentais ou separa??o dos pais. A tentativa de suic?dio foi cometida pelos jovens atrav?s da ingest?o de medicamentos; observamos tamb?m a express?o de culpa ou arrependimento ap?s a tentativa de auto-exterm?nio. Em rela??o ao autoconceito desses jovens, observamos a presen?a de baixa auto-estima, atribui??es negativas sobre si mesmos, vis?es distorcidas de si, o que nos permitiu refletir sobre a estreita rela??o entre o construto self e a tentativa de suic?dio. Percebemos que fatores como o contexto familiar, a educa??o, os valores cultivados socialmente e os aspectos culturais de nossa sociedade influenciaram a maneira como os adolescentes de nossa pesquisa se percebiam. Os resultados confirmam a id?ia de que devemos perceber a tentativa de suic?dio como um fen?meno multideterminado. The location of individual s locus of control will suffer influence of their developmental period. During adolescence, individuals turn to the construction of their identity, and the structuring of sexual identity is a relevant part of this process, since the roles of males and females are the most important from the socio-cultural point of view. One of the roles that adolescents can take is the mother or father. We chose to head the adolescents who are not mothers and fathers, and question them about their concepts of parenthood. It is hypothesized that adolescents with internal locus of control will probably develop concepts of maternity and paternity in which they attach to themselves the responsibility for children. The aim of this study was to relate the locus of control s predominant dimension in adolescence and the way that these young people conceptualize parenthood. This is an exploratory analytical cross-sectional study accomplished with 400 adolescents from the classes of the sixth to ninth grade of high school at public schools in Natal / RN. We used as protocols: structured questionnaire involving sociodemographic questions and questions about the concept of parenthood, and the Multifactorial Scale of Locus of Control. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, with the aid of statistical package SPSS 18.0. The results regarding questions about the concept of maternity and paternity were analyzed using the analysis program often ALCESTE 4.7. The results showed that for boys and girls, maternity and paternity were characterized by the acquisition and assumption of responsibilities of adulthood. This concept is supported by the locus of control s classification of individuals, since most of the subjects of this study was characterized as individuals who tend to take responsibility for their life's events. For young people from lower classes (as the subjects of this research), the project of autonomy and social mobility is realized by the constitution of his own family and the ability to sustain it / L?cus de Controle ? um constructo que pretende explicar a percep??o das pessoas a respeito da fonte de controle dos eventos, se pr?prias do sujeito interno ou pertencente a algum elemento fora de si pr?prio externo. Durante a adolesc?ncia, os indiv?duos se voltam para a constru??o da sua identidade, sendo que a estrutura??o da identidade sexual ? parte relevante desse processo, j? que os pap?is de g?nero masculino e feminino s?o os mais importantes do ponto de vista sociocultural. There are several evidences in the literature suggesting that early life stress impact brain development, as well as cognition and motricity. The neurobiological mechanisms behind these effects are poorly understood. Aim: This study aims to investigate the impact of an experimental model of early life stress on cognitive abilities and walk adaptability during adolescence, looking at the gene expression of targets related to learning and memory in different brain regions. Methods: Briefly, we exposed male C56BL/6 mice to the limited bedding protocol postnatal day (PND)2 to PND9 and then tested animals in the radial 8-arm maze, Y-maze and Step-Down avoidance task and Ladder Rung Walking Test at the end of adolescence. RT-qPCR was used to investigate BDNF exon IV, Drd1 and Drd2 gene expression in the mPFC, Motor Cortex and Cerebellum 2h after the task. Results: Mice raised in Limited Bedding conditions presented fewer perseverative errors compared to our reference group. This effect was followed by an increased BDNF exon IV expression in the mPFC with no differences in Drd1 and Drd2. When looking at the ability of adapt walking of mice, we found two distinct subgroups of animals that presented a superior performance (SP) when compared to controls or an inferior performance (IP). We observed that Drd1 expression is increased in the mPFC of IP animals and in the cerebellum of SP with no differences regarding Drd2 expression on mPFC, motor cortex and cerebellum. We observed that both SP and IP groups increased BDNF expression in the mPFC together with a significant difference between SP and IP groups in BDNF expression on motor cortex. We found a strong negative correlation between BDNF exon IV expression in the motor cortex and walking adaptability. No differences between groups regarding TrkB mRNA expression in any brain region investigated were observed although there is a positive correlation between TrkB expression in the mPFC and a better ability to adapt walking. Conclusions: Our study showed that mice exposed to Limited Bedding showed fewer perseveration and increased BDNF exon IV expression in the mPFC during adolescence. Also, our data suggest that exposure to Limited Bedding early in life can lead to distinct phenotypes followed by differential expression in Drd1 and BDNF in brain regions involved in the regulation of walking adaptability. / Introdu??o: A exposi??o ao estresse no in?cio da vida est? associado a uma diminui??o na qualidade de vida e ? considerada como fator de risco para diversas patologias. Ainda que o impacto do estresse precoce no desenvolvimento cerebral e cognitivo, bem como no sistema motor, esteja bem documentado na literatura, pouco se sabe sobre os mecanismos neurobiol?gicos mediadores destes efeitos. Objetivos: Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar o impacto de um modelo experimental de estresse precoce no funcionamento cognitivo e na adaptabilidade da marcha na adolesc?ncia, avaliando a express?o g?nica de alvos relacionados ? mem?ria e aprendizagem em diferentes regi?es do c?rebro. M?todos: Camundongos machos da linhagem C57BL/6 foram expostos ao modelo de Limited Bedding do P2 ao P9 e testados no Labirinto Radial de 8 bra?os, Labirinto Y, Esquiva Inibit?ria e Escada Horizontal no final da adolesc?ncia. RT-qPCR foi realizado para investigar a express?o g?nica do exon IV do BDNF, Drd1 e Drd2 nas regi?es do mPFC, C?rtex Motor e Cerebelo. Resultados: Camundongos expostos ao modelo de Limited Bedding na inf?ncia cometeram menos erros perseverativos quando comparados ao grupo controle. Este efeito foi seguido por um aumento na express?o do exon IV do BDNF no mPFC, embora nenhuma diferen?a entre Drd1 e Drd2 tenha sido observada. Ao observar a adaptabilidade da marcha, encontramos dois subgrupos distintos de animais que apresentaram desempenho superior (SP) quando comparados aos controles ou desempenho inferior (IP). Observamos uma express?o exarcebada de Drd1 no mPFC de animais com performance inferior e aumento na express?o de Drd1 no cerebelo de animais com performance superior, sem diferen?as em rela??o ? express?o de Drd2 no mPFC, c?rtex motor e cerebelo. Observamos que ambos os grupos aumentaram a express?o do BDNF no mPFC, juntamente com uma diferen?a significativa entre os grupos SP e IP na express?o do BDNF no c?rtex motor. Encontramos uma forte correla??o negativa entre a express?o do exon IV do BDNF no c?rtex motor e a adaptabilidade da marcha. N?o foram observadas diferen?as entre os grupos em rela??o ? express?o de TrkB nas regi?es do c?rebro investigadas, embora haja uma correla??o positiva entre a express?o de TrkB no mPFC e uma melhor capacidade de adapta??o da marcha. Conclus?o: Nosso estudo demonstrou que camundongos expostos ao Limited Bedding apresentaram menos comportamentos perseverativos e aumento da express?o do exon IV do BDNF na adolesc?ncia. Al?m disso, nossos dados sugerem que a exposi??o ao Limited Bedding pode levar a fen?tipos distintos na tarefa de adaptabilidade da marcha, seguido de uma express?o diferenciada de Drd1 e BDNF em regi?es cerebrais envolvidas na adaptabilidade da marcha.

To deal with these situations, teenagers present different ways of coping which influence the academic engagement, studying and coping with test anxiety, that affects their academic performance. Therefore, the coping process can be a mediating or moderating variable of the impact of stress on school performance. This research aimed to describe and analyze the relations between academic stressors, test anxiety and its coping and the academic performance of High School students with and without behavior problems, using a developmental and self-regulating approach. Participated 411 students (girls: 59.85%), with 14-20 year olds (M = 16.27; SD=1.04) attending High School on a public school in S?o Paulo?s capital. We applied the following instruments in six classrooms: Brazilian Economic Classification Criteria (Brazilian Criteria), the Test Anxiety Scale (TAS) and Adolescent/Child?s Self Report Responses to Stress ? Academic Problems (RSQ-AS) - both translation processes authorized, the Youth Self-Report (YSR) and the Scale of Coping with Academic Tests, specially developed to access the coping process before, during and after tests. We did these statistical analisis: descriptive, correlations, structural equations modeling and network analysis. Most students had test anxiety (n= 379; 62.53%), girls in particular (n= 227; 66.96%), and n=379; 20.84% demonstrated behavioral problems (Internalizing: n=139; 36.68%; Externalizing: n=69; 18.21%). The student?s average grade in the subject was above five points (M = 6.63; SD=1.18). When facing academic stressors, they reacted with involuntary responses (M = 0.23; SD= 0.04). To deal with tests, the coping process is more adaptive than maladaptive (AC: M = 55.39; SD= 10.60; MAC: M = 41.64; SD=12.80), with ways of coping like Self-reliance, Support-seeking and Problem-solving. Classrooms showed significative differences in socioeconomic status, age groups, number of stressful sources and general average. Structural equation modeling indicates that students with better academic performance were those who had internalizing problems, not externalizing problems, higher adaptive coping score, secondary control engagement coping and involuntary engagement,and whose involuntary disengagement score was lower. Students who experienced test anxiety had higher involuntary engagement and higher number of academic stressors. Students who experienced higher number of academic stressors presented higher primary and secondary control engagement scores, voluntary and involuntary disengagement, and involuntary engagement. The students who had internalizing problems had more test anxiety and higher number of academic stressors. The students who had higher maladaptive coping scores had internalizing problems, test anxiety and higher number of academic stressors. The network analysis also indicated associations between: higher age, higher grades schooling and better academic performance; higher grades schooling and more stress; and low academic performance and academic stressors (not understanding classes or homework, having trouble studying, feeling pressured to do something, and having bad classes or teachers). The behavior problems stand out in this sampling, as well as coping difficulties regarding school events, which referee a psychological intervention in this educational grade. / A adolesc?ncia ? um per?odo de mudan?as f?sicas, psicol?gicas e socioculturais, com muitos estressores, inclusive no contexto escolar, a exemplo da realiza??o de provas acad?micas e o vestibular. Para lidar com essas situa??es, os adolescentes apresentam diferentes estrat?gias de enfrentamento (EE), as quais influenciam o engajamento acad?mico, o comportamento de estudar e de lidar com a ansiedade em situa??es de provas, afetando seu rendimento acad?mico. O enfrentamento (coping), portanto, pode atuar como uma vari?vel moderadora ou mediadora do impacto do estresse sobre o desempenho escolar. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo descrever e analisar as rela??es entre estressores acad?micos, ansiedade de provas escolares e seu enfrentamento, e o desempenho acad?mico, em alunos do Ensino M?dio, com e sem problemas de comportamento, adotando uma perspectiva desenvolvimentista e de autorregula??o. Academic Problems (RSQ-AS), ambos com valida??o lingu?stica autorizada, o Youth Self-Report (YSR), e a Escala de Enfrentamento de Provas Escolares, especialmente elaborada, avaliando o coping antes, durante e depois de provas. Foram feitas an?lises estat?sticas: descritiva, correla??es, modelagem de equa??es estruturais e an?lise de redes. A maioria dos estudantes tinha ansiedade de provas (n= 379; 62,53%), especialmente as meninas (n=227; 66,96%), e n= 379; 20,84% apresentaram problemas de comportamento (Internalizantes: n= 139; 36,68%; Externalizantes: n= 69; 18,21%). A m?dia geral das notas das disciplinas das turmas ficou acima de cinco pontos (M = 6,63; DP= 1,18). Frente a estressores acad?micos, os alunos reagiam com respostas involunt?rias (M = 0,23; DP=0,04). Diante de provas, o coping era mais adaptativo do que mal adaptativo (CA: M = 55,39; DP= 10,60; CMA: M = 41,64; DP=12,80), com EE de autoconfian?a, busca de suporte e resolu??o de problemas. Houve diferen?as significativas entre as s?ries escolares no n?vel socioecon?mico, idade, n?mero de estressores e m?dia geral. As an?lises de equa??es estruturais indicaram que os alunos com maior desempenho acad?mico foram aqueles com problemas internalizantes, sem problemas externalizantes, maior escore de coping adaptativo, engajamento de controle secund?rio e engajamento involunt?rio, e menor escore de desengajamento involunt?rio. Alunos com ansiedade de provas apresentaram maior engajamento involunt?rio e maior n?mero de estressores. Os alunos com maior n?mero de estressores apresentaram maiores escores de engajamento de controle prim?rio e secund?rio, desengajamento volunt?rio e involunt?rio, e engajamento involunt?rio. Os alunos com problemas internalizantes foram aqueles com ansiedade de provas e maior n?mero de estressores. Os alunos com maiores escores de coping mal adaptativo foram aqueles com problemas internalizantes, ansiedade de provas e maior n?mero de estressores. A an?lise de redes indicou tamb?m associa??es entre: maioridade, maior escolaridade e melhor desempenho acad?mico; maior escolaridade e mais estresse; e baixo desempenho e estressores acad?micos (n?o entender as aulas e as tarefas, ter dificuldade para estudar, sentir-se pressionado e ter professores ruins). Os problemas de comportamento se destacaram nesta amostra, assim como as dificuldades de enfrentamento dos eventos escolares, indicando a necessidade de interven??es psicol?gicas nesse n?vel educacional.

Headaches are one of the symptoms of stress, a risk factor for psychopathological conditions, school absenteeism and difficulties in relationships, affecting quality of life. This study analyzed stressors and coping in relation to quality of life among adolescents experiencing headaches. A total of 54 adolescents (85.19% girls), aged from 14 to 18 years old and attending elementary, middle or high school in a public school in Sorocaba, SP, Brazil, participated. The following instruments were applied in classrooms: a) to characterize the sample ? Headache Questionnaire; a Characterization Interview Protocol developed for this study; and the Brazil Economic Criteria Classification; b) the Adolescent Perceived Events Scale (APES) was applied to identify stressors during adolescence; c) to assess coping with stressful events during adolescence ? Coping Scale (CS), with 12 coping families using the Motivational Theory of Coping; d) Responses to Stress Questionnaire ? Headache (RSQ-H) with authorized linguistic validation was used to analyze headache stressors and coping: and e) Quality of Life Headache - Youth Questionnaire (QLH-Y) was used to assess quality of life. Descriptive statistics, comparisons between groups and correlations were used in addition to network analyses. Daily headaches were prevalent in 42.59% of the sample, while 29.63% reported headaches several times a week associated with emotional triggers, such as feeling anxious or having concerns. The results showed that girls presented: a) greater perception of good and bad stressors (APES); b) Involuntary Engagement, Rumination, Emotional Excitement and Cognitive Interference (RSQ-H); c) Less Vital Strength and more Depression (QLH-Y). Daily headaches were related to a) stressful events during adolescence (APES), maladaptive coping, isolation and helplessness (CS); b) greater quantity of headache stressors (RSQ-H); c) Disengagement and Avoidance (RSQ-H); d) Depression (QLH-Y). The adolescents receiving medical care more frequently presented: a) positive headache coping with Emotional regulation, Emotional Expression, Secondary Control Engagement, Positive Thinking, Acceptance and Immobilization; b) Harmonization and Vital Strength (QLH-Y). Adolescents with a medical diagnosis of migraines presented: a) a lower perception of bad events (APES); b) greater Helplessness when coping with stressful events during adolescence (CS). Adolescents with headaches that last more than 24 hours more frequently presented: a) Involuntary Engagement; Emotional Excitement and Escape (RSQ-H); b) Fatigue (QLH-Y). These involuntary stress responses and maladaptive coping strategies, especially among girls, show difficulty in self-regulating when facing headache stressors, emphasizing the importance of prevention and the development of more efficient and specific interventions for this age range. Analyses helped understand the processes involved in headache coping among adolescents, showing how somatic symptoms, depression and stress and the impact of headaches on daily life are related. / A adolesc?ncia ? um per?odo do desenvolvimento em que ocorrem transforma??es f?sicas, emocionais e sociais, tornando o adolescente exposto ao estresse. This th?me has mobilized researchers in different social contexts, regions and countries, considering the violence`s impact. Researchers in this area requires the use of validated instruments, with multidimensional approach, regardless of source context, based on the experience of literature. Objective: submit the inventory PAJ "Parcour Amoreux des Jeunes" to the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of content. Methodology: protocol steps recommended were the ones that follow: (1) translation and back-translation - translation and back-translation - the translation was attended by two Brazilian researchers , skilled in French , and later , two young native Canadian researchers fluent in Portuguese, ending Pilot II version . (2) Analisys by the Expert Committee - ten professionals from different backgrounds participated (researchers in validation , adolescence and violence) , who analyzed individually , the clarity and equivalence for each question according to the characteristics of clarity (1) It is not clear , (2) It is a little unclear , (3) almost everything is clear , (4) it is clear and I have no doubt , and equivalence : (1) not equivalent , (2) Partially equivalent; " (3) equivalent . After analysis , the percentages of clarity and equivalence and Content Validity Index / general question for IVC were calculated, obtaining Pilot III version , (3) Pre -test - Pilot III was assessed by a sample of 36 young people , 14-24 years old, both genders , with the same characteristics as the target of the later stages (psychometric analysis and application to the target population) population. In the pre -test interpretive questions were analyzed , in order to obtain cultural, conceptual, semantic and idiomatic equivalence, improving, thus, the instrument comprehension. After analysis of experts and young people , proportions relative to clarity and equivalence and Content Validity Index ( CVI ) were calculated , considering as appropriate issues with grades 3 and 4 for clarity, with value above 0.78 , according literature recommendations. Results: in general, the inventory PAJ had adequate content validity (0.97), considering the recommended limit value for adequacy (0.78). All sections of the instrument showed good performance (adequacy to clarity and equivalence), except the first section (general information, sociodemographic questions the cultural context of young parents' ethnicity, education, language spoken, among others) whose items and issues experienced cross-cultural adaptation and adjustment to match the Brazilian reality. Conclusions: PAJ showed suitable validity of content. The stages of cultural adaptation, and validation of content of instrument becomes appropriate for the procedures that follow - steps of reliability assessment (psychometrics) and applicability to the youth population in the brazilian context. / Introdu??o: o invent?rio PAJ busca estudar o percurso amoroso de jovens, na perspectiva de analisar a rela??o entre os eventos violentos e relacionamentos com familiares, amigos e amores. Esse tema tem mobilizado estudiosos, nos distintos contextos sociais, regi?es e pa?ses, considerando o impacto da viol?ncia Pesquisar nesta ?rea requer a utiliza??o de instrumentos validados, com abordagem multidimensional, independente do contexto de origem, tendo como base a experi?ncia da literatura. On this way, it is seek understand the elements that leads on work world changes, on the State and public politics sphere, that deepens social dissimilarities. On this propose, it is known that there is a relation among the violence, while one of many manifestations of social question on society and the macroestructuals?determinant that lead the teenager to a social rick situation. This research focused on a inquiry quail-quantitative, using the theoric-metodological procedures of observation, interview and documental quest techniques. The universe had been defined by the intentional sample of 22 interviewed on total, during August and October 2008, covering adolescents and their relatives, technical and the coordinator, which subsidized the Socio educational program of community services provision from Natal analysis of limits and their range. Trying to understand the patterns of this process, several studies have emphasized the adaptive value of sexual differences and their influence on the assessment of the market value. The pattern for adults presented on the scientific literature, which is based on the preference for certain characteristics, shows that men search a partner who shows high value of fecundity and fertility, thus looking for partners with the ability of being pregnant and nursing their offspring. On the other hand, women look for partners with high socioeconomic status, which is strongly associated with the ability to protect and provide resources for them and their offspring. Surprisingly, there is few works that investigated the mate choice patterns during the beginning of the period of sexual differentiation on the morphological, physiological and behavioral traits. The aim of this study was to investigate mate choice patterns in adolescence in order to describe their preferences and contribute to the understanding of human reproductive behavior. Took part of this research 1,232 students from educational institutions of Natal, Brazil, and visitors to the Scientific, Technological and Cultural Fair UFRN. In the Experimental Study 1, we applied a questionnaire to evaluate the importance of certain characteristics, assessed the degree of romantic involvement and real and ideal partners age preference. In the Experimental Study 2, we did a survey of characteristics considered relevant and evaluate the importance of these characteristics in mate choice. The Experimental Study 3 brought an investigation of mate choice patterns based on self-assessment of adolescents, evaluating ideal partner for a short-term and long-term relationships and actual partner. We found that adolescents are motivated to live romantic experiences. We also observed a preference for partners of similar age to that described for adults. Finally, we found similarities and differences in the preferences for characteristics in real and ideal partners in relation to the adult pattern. In addition, we observed high similarity on the self-assessment and assessment of real and ideal partners. We suggest that in the mate choice, adolescents are similar to young adults in some aspects but not all. Our results show the relevance of the reproductive behavior investigation in this human developmental period and reinforce that further studies should contribute to the understanding of human behavior in terms of ontogenetic development and their evolutionary history. / O processo de escolha de parceiros ? um dos componentes da sele??o sexual. Na busca pela compreens?o dos padr?es deste processo, in?meros estudos t?m enfatizado o valor adaptativo das diferen?as sexuais e suas influ?ncias sob a avalia??o do valor de mercado do indiv?duo. Verificamos que os adolescentes est?o motivados para viver experi?ncias rom?nticas e/ou sexuais. Observamos tamb?m uma prefer?ncia pela idade dos parceiros semelhante ?quela descrita para adultos. Finalmente, encontramos semelhan?as e diferen?as do padr?o de prefer?ncias de caracter?sticas em parceiros reais e ideais em rela??o aos padr?es apresentados para adultos, al?m de similaridade elevada em rela??o ? auto-avalia??o e ? avalia??o dos parceiros ideais e reais. Nossos resultados mostram a relev?ncia do estudo do comportamento reprodutivo humano neste per?odo no desenvolvimento e refor?a a necessidade de outros estudos na busca da compreens?o do comportamento humano do ponto de vista do desenvolvimento ontogen?tico e da sua hist?ria evolutiva.

It is known that this type of research requires the use of validated research instruments in order to ensure its quality and therefore the results obtained after its application in other studies. The analysis of the psychometric properties, reliability and validity of an instrument is critical to ensure that it is calibrated to measure the phenomenon to which it is proposed. Objective: to determine the psychometric properties of the Brazilian version of the inventory "Parcours des Jeunes Amourex" - Loving Trail Youth - PAJ through construct validation and reliability analysis. Methodology: methodological study which deals with the construct validity and reliability (psychometric analyzes) of the Brazilian version of the PAJ, executed in the period 2013-2015, using a convenience sample of 380 adolescents and young adults in the age groups 14-24 years enrolled in public schools in Feira de Santana, Bahia-Brazil. This research represents the second stage of cultural adaptation process and inventory of content validation, carried out from 2011-2013, which led to the national version (adapted and validated). The original inventory and the national version consist of 64 questions in different formats (dichotomous, open, scales). And reliability analysis was used examining the internal consistency of the questions, by calculating the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, considering the satisfactory value> 0.6; the factorability of the questions was evaluated by the test Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO), with appropriate value> 0.5; the construct validity was verified through exploratory factor analysis using the principal component analysis technique, with varimax rotation, using the latent root criterion to define the number of factors to be extracted. Results: The data showed that the adapted version of the PAJ has construct validity of evidence, since the measures proposed construct and has adequate reliability coefficients, confirming the internal consistency of the scale. It can be said then that the inventory showed good psychometric parameters allowing its applicability in national studies that seek to investigate violence among young couples and factors related to family life and friends. Conclusions: This research contributes to the appropriateness and applicability of an inventory that assesses multiple dimensions of loving violence in youth, encouraging new studies, exchange of information between different contexts, and can support public policies and programs that lead to the prevention and cure cycle intergenerational victimization and aggression between present and future generations. / Introdu??o: em n?vel mundial, reconhece-se a import?ncia dos estudos transculturais para estudar fen?menos abrangentes, multifacetados e multicausais, como a viol?ncia interpessoal entre jovens, considerando o impacto dos indicadores dessas pesquisas nas trocas de conhecimentos e a??es voltadas ? preven??o e controle dos fatores de risco e vulnerabilidades. Esta pesquisa representa a segunda etapa do processo de adapta??o transcultural e valida??o de conte?do do inventario, realizado no per?odo de 2011-2013, o qual originou a vers?o nacional (adaptada e validada). O invent?rio original e a vers?o nacional s?o constitu?dos de 64 quest?es em formatos diversos (dicot?micas, abertas, escalas). Para an?lise da confiabilidade foi utilizado o exame da consist?ncia interna das quest?es, atrav?s do c?lculo do coeficiente alfa de Cronbach, considerando satisfat?rio o valor >0,6; a fatorabilidade das quest?es foi avaliada pelo teste deKaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy (KMO), sendo adequado valor >0,5; a validade de construto foi verificada atrav?s da an?lise fatorial explorat?ria, utilizando a t?cnica de an?lise de componentes principais, com rota??o varimax, sendo utilizado o crit?rio da raiz latente para definir a quantidade de fatores a serem extra?dos. Resultados: os dados mostraram que a vers?o adaptada do PAJ apresenta evid?ncias de validade de construto, visto que mede o construto proposto e possui coeficientes de fidedignidade adequados, confirmando a consist?ncia interna da escala. Pode-se afirmar ent?o, que o invent?rio apresentou bons par?metros psicom?tricos o que permite a sua aplicabilidade em estudos nacionais que buscam investigar viol?ncia entre casais jovens e fatores relacionados ao conv?vio familiar e amigos. Conclus?es: essa pesquisa contribui com a adequa??o e aplicabilidade de um invent?rio que avalia m?ltiplas dimens?es da viol?ncia amorosa na juventude, incentivando novos estudos, trocas de conhecimentos entre diferentes contextos, al?m de poder subsidiar pol?ticas p?blicas e programas que conduzam ? preven??o e supera??odo ciclo intergeracional de vitimiza??o e agress?o entre gera??es presentes e futuras.
