The world we live in is extremely dynamic in terms of change. Social and economical changes in Lithuania as well as in the whole world make people encounter new requirements in their every day and working life.
The development of modern technologies, creation of information society encourages them to think about their personal development. Every year more and more people, having no secondary education, come to educational institutions for adults. Therefore today the problems of adult learning are actually important for a Lithuanian society. Successful learning depends on motivation. Adult education is not compulsory. It’s a person’s own free decision. The Objective of the Research. – to analyze adults’ learning motivation in secondary schools of Utena region.
Referring to pedagogical and psychological literature it was revealed that learning motivation is influenced by many factors: activity stimuli, material and cultural benefits of learning, personal goals and interests, determination, values system. Every action of a person is motivated by internal as well as by external factors.
Internal learning motives are much more important than external ones, though they are achieved gradually and slowly. The research revealed that the most important motives of adults’ learning are the following:
1. Eagerness to get the Certificate of secondary education.
2. Personality development.

Besiplečiant kompiuterinės įrangos galimybėms auga ir kvalifikuotų darbuotojų paklausa bei reikalavimai darbuotojams visame pasaulyje. Retas darbuotojas šiuo metu gali dirbti be kompiuterio ar kompiuterinės technikos taikymo savo darbe. Atsiranda naujos programos taikytinos konkrečiose darbo srityse, lengvinančios darbą bei gerinančios jo kokybę. Norint išlikti konkurencingu darbo rinkoje tenka prisitaikyti prie jos reikalavimų, pastoviai tobulinti turimas žinias bei gebėjimus ir įgyti naujų. Rašant šį darbą buvo apžvelgta suaugusiųjų kompiuterinio raštingumo situacija Lietuvoje ir pasaulyje. Aiškintasi politinis požiūris į kompiuterinių gebėjimų ugdymą, finansavimo šaltinius. Atliktas anketinis tyrimas, kuriame apklausta daugiau nei 500 Vilniaus pedagoginio universiteto darbuotojų. Atliekant tyrimą aiškintasi, kompiuterinių gebėjimų lygmuo priklausomai nuo amžiaus ir pareigų. Aiškintasi ar nuo amžiaus priklauso pageidaujamo mokymosi būdo pasirinkimas, taip pat kiek amžius turi 5takos norui tobulėti informacinių technologijų srityje. Tyrime siekta atsekti priklausomybę norimų mokytis dalykų nuo respondentų pareigų. Į visus šios klausimus atsakymus padėjo surasti atliktas apklausos rezultatų tyrimas. / Nowadays the demand for qualified workers as well as the requirements for workers is increasing all around the world due to the development of opportunities of the new computer technologies. Just a few members of our society can work without computer or any computer device. The new software that can be used in a particular working sphere appears. This new software makes the work easier and quality of work much better. In order to survive in the competitive labour market, each organization should adjust itself to the requirements of the market, constantly deepen acquired knowledge and abilities and learn new ones. Computer literacy in Lithuania and in the world was reviewed in this thesis. The theme was being analyzed taking into account political and financial sources. The research by the means of questionnaire was performed. More than 500 Vilnius Pedagogical University workers took part in it. The aim of this questionnaire was to make a connection between age and position of the reporters and their computer literacy abilities. The question of the choice of particular learning method in accordance with the age was risen up as well as the influence of the age on desires to improve knowledge in the sphere of modern technologies. The connection between the desirable aspects of study and the holding position is showed in this research. All the answers to these questions were found during the research.

Nowadays more emphasis is made on providing learning possibilities. Every person is an equal member of society irrespective of where he/she lives or what he/she is doing. At present the re-socialisation and probation work done by the penitentiary institutions is exceptionally important. The study of this comparatively new sphere confirms that the issue of teaching/learning of women serving sentence has been hardly analysed. The study is urgent in the sense that the people have to be stimulated to seek knowledge, conditions for learning have to be created and supported irrespective where such people live at given time. It is necessary to induce women serving sentence to make best use of the learning possibilities so that they could successfully use such knowledge when they are released. The reason I chose this theme was that it had not been considered especially as far as women in penitentiary institutions were concerned. It was interesting for me to study the need of the sentenced women for learning and take a closer look at the possibilities provided at the penitentiary institution.

Peripetin i berättelser om lärande av matematik - 29 röster från allmän linje på två folkhögskolorEnquist, Barbro January 2012 (has links)
Syftet med denna undersökning är att öka kunskapen om vuxnas lärande av matematik och att förstå vikten av vändpunkter i lärande av matematik. I detta arbete har berättelser från 29 studerande på två folkhögskolor analyserats med en hermenuetiskt inspirerad metod och ett sociokulturellt perspektiv. Många av de 29 som studerar på allmän linje på två folkhögskolor har ett problematiskt förhållande till lärande av matematik. Många beskriver att de hade bekymmer med matematiklärande redan under grundskolans första år, för vissa leder dessa bekymmer till ohälsa. I denna undersökning framkommer det att det finns tydliga vändpunkter när det gäller lärande av matematik, då ett gammalt mönster kan brytas. Några orsaker till vändpunkter som nämns i berättelserna är: en ny social miljö, en annan typ av undervisning, gemensam stöttning från behandlingshem och klok lärare i skolan, hemundervisning, nyfunnen inlärningsstrategi, avslutat missbruk, inre motivation mm. I samband med vändpunkterna sker en förändring av inställning till matematikämnet eller den egna förmågan, orsakerna till den förändrade inställning kommer inifrån den studerande själv eller utifrån via exempelvis en lärare. Kunskapen om att dessa vändpunkter finns ger hopp och kan underlätta när det gäller att ställa krav på kvalitativa åtgärder när personer hamnar i svåra inlärningssituationer.Nyckelord: berättelser, folkhögskola, matematik, specialpedagogik, vuxnas lärande, vändpunkter. / The purpose of this investigation is to increase the knowledge of adult learning of mathematics and to understand the importance of turning points in the learning of mathematics. In this study interviews from 29 students at two folk high schools (for adult education) have been analyzed using a hermeneutic inspired method. Many of the 29 that study the “general oriented education” at two folk high schools have a problematic relationship toward learning of mathematics. Many describe that they had “problems/concerns/anxiety” with the learning of mathematics already during the first years of elementary school, for some these “problems/concerns/anxiety” lead to illness. In this investigation it is shown that there are clear turning points when it comes to learning of mathematics, when an old pattern can be broken. Some of the reasons for turning points that are mentioned in these interviews are: a new social environment, a different type of education, common support from treatment centers and wise teachers in school, home schooling, newfound learning strategy, ended drug abuse, inner motivation, amongst others. Knowledge that these turning points exist gives hope and can facilitate when it comes to putting “requirements/demands” on qualitative measures when persons end up in difficult learning situations..

para formação de professores e sua importância é considerada, atualmente,
uma necessidade pelo fato de a escola ser promotora da saúde, como uma das
suas funções sociais. Crianças que estudam na rede pública, mesmo na cidade
de São Paulo, apresentam quadros de doenças bastante expressivos. Criança
sem saúde, não aprende e conseqüentemente tem menos chances em sua
vida adulta. Os futuros educadores devem ter estes conhecimentos para um
envolvimento e trabalho com seus alunos e as comunidades locais. Objetivo.
Analisar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de alunos universitários, no
âmbito desta disciplina. Planejar e desenvolver uma metodologia com
estratégias de aula que facilitem o aprendizado. Analisar, na visão dos alunos,
quais os pontos positivos e negativos no processo. Método. Desenvolveu-se
uma pesquisa, da qual participaram estudantes do primeiro semestre do curso
de Pedagogia de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior privada da cidade de São
Paulo, do tipo pesquisa-ação, em que o pesquisador é também autor de uma
prática, no caso, de docência, com caráter qualitativo acrescida de
instrumentos quantitativos; como forma de coleta de dados, foram utilizados
questionários e o diário de campo; para análise dos dados foi realizada
primeiramente a tabulação dos questionários, verificou-se a freqüência das
respostas, calculada em porcentagem, e posteriormente os resultados foram
expressos em gráficos; em seguida, os dados coletados pelos depoimentos
foram analisados segundo a técnica de análise do sujeito coletivo. Resultados.
Os resultados obtidos forneceram informações importantes para reflexão dos
docentes do ensino superior sobre o processo de ensino-aprendizagem,
mostrando que as estratégias utilizadas propiciaram envolvimento e
participação do aluno, aproximação da realidade pessoal e profissional, maior
interação nas relações interpessoais, reflexão e crítica. Conclusões. O
referencial teórico sobre o aprendizado de adultos, as metodologias ativas e o
relacionamento interpessoal entre professor e alunos, aliados à análise da
visão dos alunos sobre os pontos positivos e negativos no processo de ensinoaprendizagem,
proporcionaram subsídios para acreditar numa metodologia e
estratégias didáticas específicas para adultos e que devem contemplar a
motivação do docente e a comunicação pedagógica, incluindo os elementos
criatividade, conteúdo técnico atualizado e conteúdo formativo aplicados à
futura profissão, troca de experiências, que permitam uma relação professoraluno
afetiva, com interação e diálogo. Pretende-se com esta pesquisa
contribuir para reflexões, incentivar ações e novas pesquisas voltadas para o
aprendizado e, conseqüentemente, para a formação de profissionais. / The discipline Educational Biology is inserted in the graduation courses for
teachers formation and its importance is considered, currently, a necessity for
the fact of the school be health promoter, as one of its social functions. Children
who study in the public school, even in the São Paulo city, present important
diseases. And child without health does not learn and, consequently, has few
chances in the adult life. The future educators must have these knowledge for
an envolvement with their pupils and the local communities. Objective. To
analyze the teach-learning process of high school students, in the scope of this
disciplines. To plan and to develop a methodology with lesson strategies that
facilitate the learning. To analyze, in the students vision, the positive and
negative points in the process. Method. A research was developed -- of which
had participated students of the first semester of the Pedagogy of a high school
private institution in São Paulo city -- of the type action-research, where the
researcher is also a practice author, in this case the teacher, with increased
qualitative character of quantitative instruments; as a way of data collect, had
been used questionnaires and field diary; for data analysis, the tabulation of the
questionnaires was made first, the frequency of the answers was verified,
calculated in percentage, and later the results had been converted in charts;
after that, the data collected by the questionnaires had been analyzed
according to the technique of the collective subject analysis. Results. The
results had supplied important information to high school teachers reflection
about teach-learning process, showing that the used strategies allowed student
envolvement and participation, proximity with personal and professional reality,
bigger interaction in the interpersonal relations and critical reflection.
Conclusions. The theoretical referencial about adult learning, the active
methodologies and the interpersonal relationship between professor and pupils,
with the analysis of the students vision about the positive and negative points in
the teach-learning process, had provided subsidies to believe a methodology
and specific didactic strategies for adults and that must contemplate the
teachers motivation and the pedagogical communication, including elements
like creativity, up to date technician content and formative content to the future
profession, experiences exchange, that allow an affective relationship teacherstudent,
with interaction and dialogue. This research intends to contribute for
reflections, to stimulate actions and new learning researches and,
