AMABULO: A Model Architecture for Business Logic

Brückmann, Tobias, Gruhn, Volker 05 December 2018 (has links)
Models are widely used for communication and documentation purposes. They also tend to be used as parameters for code generation. Because these models have to be complete, consistent and correct we have to support modellers in keeping their models clean. The modeller should have the choice to select the preferred view and the needed level of detail for his modelling and model maintenance tasks. This paper proposes a model architecture named AMABULO for a model driven development process of business logic for information systems. The model architecture consists of a meta model, corresponding visual diagrams and an interchange format. With the use of AMABULO the development process for business logic is supported from analysis until code generation.

A Study of Issues Concerning Information System Architecture Employed by Companies Investing in the South-Eastern China

Hung, Chia-Hung 01 August 2002 (has links)
ABSTRACT In order to effectively manage the investment in China, Taiwanese enterprises need to develop information systems (IS) that can facilitate efficient operational control and decision making. This study investigates the various architectures that are employed by manufacturing enterprises investing in the south-eastern coastal area of China for such purpose. The results show 1. The vendor support for software and hardware is poor when the plant site is far away from cities; 2. There are more problems for China-based IS units than those in Taiwan; 3. The communication infrastructure in China is inferior to that in Taiwan; 4. Many application systems in China are based on those in Taiwan, although adjustment is often necessary in order to adapt realistically to situations in China; 5. Taiwanese enterprises always set up their own security systems that suit their own needs; 6. The interface between traditional Chinese Kanji and simplified Chinese characters is a non-issue; 7. The system security, the existing application structure used in Taiwan, number of connecting points in China, and the efficiency of leased telecommunication line are the main factors for enterprises to consider when making decisions on the IS architecture; and 8. If leasing telecommunication lines is acceptable, the IS managers should base the IS architecture in Taiwan to increase the efficiency, enhance the security, and reduce cost.

Architektur für Menschen mit Demenz

16 June 2014 (has links) (PDF)

Architecture for people with dementia

09 February 2015 (has links) (PDF)
Providing care for people with dementia is an increasing societal challenge. In Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Housing alike, dementia-friendly concepts are needed. Whether it is possible to live well with dementia is determined by many factors, among which the architectural design of the living environment plays a major role. Dementia-friendly architectural concepts support the everyday activities, independence, and quality of life not only of people with dementia, but also their care givers. The following issues need to be addressed: Which living and care arrangements support best the needs of people with dementia? How can architectural and technological concepts support family care givers, professional care providers, and volunteers? Only a holistic approach to the provision of care for people with dementia will allow the generation of economically sustainable concepts. These are especially in demand in light of the demographic changes our society encounters and will become a key issue for the future development of shrinking regions. This book is a collection of the contributions to the symposium “Architecture for People With Dementia” which took place in Dresden, Germany, in May of 2014. It provides an overview on this important topic and includes new insights form research and care practice on the architectural design of various living and care arrangements of people with dementia.

The methodology will be done by descriptive and critical research through two analytical models: the first, based on the information architecture (IA) of this blog, and the second through the content analysis of Bardin (2010). The specific objectives seek to clarify the theoretical supports that allow us to analyze Internet and its digital platforms, materials from the 2014 World Cup and its aspects of interactivity, contextualizing the above topics in the Blog do Juca Kfouri. With this you can perform the analysis and interpretation of data to then weave considerations relevant to the social context by identifying the aspects of interactivity in Blog. After the paths have been traversed, it was considered that the aspects of interactivity and interactions within the context of the study were median Blog and can be extended by Web 2.0 features, increasing the informational text features the texts, images and sounds, hyperlinks and hypertext.

Vranich, Alexei 10 April 2018 (has links)
The Akapana Pyramid: Reconsidering Tiwanaku's Monumental CenterThe most visible remains of the Tiwanaku civilization are the monuments found at the site of Tiwanaku. Although the target of extensive excavation and analysis in the last 100 years, there is a serious lack of substantiated information about important aspects such as dating, form, and construction of these monuments. This in turn affects our understanding of the development of this impressive urban ceremonial center. In the following article I examine the principle monument at Tiwanaku, the Akapana pyramid, evaluating the most recently published interpretations of its dating, form and construction in light of information collected during my 1999 and 2000 field seasons. Finding inadequacies with the manner in which monuments have been excavated and interpreted in the past, I propose an alternative method and reinterpret the available evidence. I conclude with an alternative explanation for the Akapana pyramid and explore the ramifications of my new perspective on this monument for broader understandings of the pre-Columbian center's urban form.
