Výtvarná výchova jako východisko v procesu tvorby třídního vzdělávacího programu pro děti předškolního věku / Art as a starting point in the process of a class educational program for preschool children

Němcová, Jana January 2015 (has links)
Name Art as a starting point in the process of a class educational program for preschool children Abstract This work in its theoretical part specifies the definition of art education, work and art techniques at kindergartens. It describes both the historical and the current ideas on changes of art creation of pre-school children. It goes into the solutions, competency, preparations and the actual creation of a class curriculum for pre-school children at contemporary kindergartens. The empirical part describes experience of my colleagues in the creation of a class curriculum with a focus on the global view, motivation and integrated programmes. The practical part illustrates the class curriculum based on a year-round project which comes out of art activities. There is a motivational theme that goes through the whole project and motivates children in other spheres of education as well. There is an offer of activities and a close relation to other subjects which are based on the art creation of children or lead to the creation by art works. The whole project culminates with a theatre performance which is made by children themselves. Key Words Art activities, pre-school age, class educational program, pre-school education, art techniques, art, kindergarten, fairy tale, educational conception,...

Fenomén "Do It Yourself" a jeho pojetí v kulturněsociologickém kontextu / "Do It Yourself" movement as a phenomenon in the context of the socio-culture

Stojanovová, Veronika January 2015 (has links)
The present diploma thesis maps the concepts, characteristic features and cultural-social contexts of functions of the "Do It Yourself" phenomenon. It addresses various interpretations of the phenomenon, it creates general features, and it attempts to define its position based on the experience gained from the research carried out and from the literature studied. It primarily captures the action of the phenomenon during the communist and post-communist era in the Czechoslovak and later the Czech Republic, as well as the influence of various socio-political systems on its appearance. Didactic elaboration of the topic focuses on the application of the DIY principles in teaching activity and it presents an "In & Out" artwork line integrating these ideas into the current conditions of teaching art education. The artwork part represents starting points, the process and the realization of the author's binding of the diploma thesis, which is again based on the application of DIY ideas.

The Fear of Aging and the Self: A Heuristicaly Influenced Study

Steingart, Leia R. 01 May 2018 (has links) (PDF)
This research paper is an art-based heuristic influenced study on the fear of aging and the self using an art-based modality of exploration. The researcher sought to study three questions. First, to explore the relationship between aging, beauty, youth, and social pressures. Second, to explore the fears related to aging, (losing appearances, finance, health, and death). Thirdly, to considering the implications of findings to the clinical realm. The art based methodology offered a form of investigation which, informed by heuristic steps of inquiry, augmented both personal meaning and growth. Data consisted of art made over a three-month period as well as structured journaling regarding the research questions and art making process. The imagery, journaling and observations were then collected during the illumination and explication phase, culminating in a final art response of the findings in a creative synthesis.

Meeting my favorite memes : un face à face avec moi-mème

Djankou Ngamaleu, André 09 1900 (has links)
I once came close to winning a 100 000$ on a reality TV show called Big Brother Canada. I could almost taste the jackpot when I suddenly got evicted from the house by the four remaining houseguests. Few weeks after the show was over, disappointed, and overwhelmed, I discovered that multiple images of me went viral on social media. In fact, I had become a meme! Already fascinated by this new form of language that memes seem to have created on my social media over the years, the experience of becoming a meme ignited a thirst to know how other individuals with a similar experience to mine felt. My curiosity led to this exploratory research where I seek to better understand my transformation into a meme (or memefication) through the lenses of other memes. Presented in the form of an audio-visual creation accompanied by a commented script and supported by Goffman’s concept of “face” as well as Voirol and Jauréguiberry theories about “visibility”, this work digs into the hidden faces behind memes, the connection between individual-face-meme and the effects of becoming meme.

A Qualitative Analysis of Quantitative Assessments in Art Therapy Research with Patients with Cancer in a Medical Setting

Levenberg, Jill 30 April 2019 (has links) (PDF)
This paper uses a qualitative approach to explore quantitative assessment tools and their use in art therapy research with patients with cancer. An archival method was used to gather articles on cancer research which were compiled from peer-reviewed journal articles available online. The author used a systematic analysis to select articles that met the specific research criteria of working with cancer patients in a medical setting, included the implementation of art therapy, and the administration of a pre- and post-test. Twenty-two quantitative assessments fit these criteria. Further exploration was conducted on the five most common assessment tools. These five assessments were further analyzed for emergent themes and characteristics. These common traits were that all of the assessments were self-report questionnaires, four out of five were Likert scales, the assessments were chosen for their accessibility, and many of the research studies were not accessible to a diverse population. It was concluded that these quantitative assessment tools are helpful in art therapy as they contribute towards creating quantifiable results in the research. It may be useful to implement these assessment tools in further art therapy research with cancer patients in order for art therapy to be more frequently employed in medical settings.

Thomaz, Vera Lucia Didonet 06 March 2015 (has links)
If what existed and was photographed in the urban landscape has allowed the incorporation of what has become visible in the artifacts named Poetic documents, in the art collection and in the curatorial of exhibitions of Art Museum Ado Malagoli at Rio Grande do Sul (2011-2014), as The poor canon: the precariousness of archeology in fine arts; in contrast, this has led to the organization of Imaginal reports corresponding to the Collection Objects for research in Fine Arts, which exist, were photographed during the experiment, and for their historical bias, were incorporated in the collection of the Paranaense Museum as well as socialized in the Pergamum (2012-2014). This methodological principle of structuring research on the photographic gesture as a creative act in transitional spaces, of the museum actions taken by human beings in relation to surrounding objects, has assured intelligent degrees of interaction beyond the era of our city Curitiba, in the south of Brazil. In this long lasting work in progress, fragmentary, because it is open and communicable as its destination should be, the sharp goal is to show and tell something where entropy and ruin may be seen in the form of art in the observed process from the start. The notions of ‘transience’, found in the book Origin of the german baroque drama; of ‘progress’ and ‘updating’, in the Book of passages, in which are displayed, respectively, the roles of “rolls” D [Boredom, the eternal return] e N [Theory of knowledge, theory of progress], both writings by Walter Benjamin (1892-1940), are placed in dialectical movement with the ‘phenomenology’ and ‘communication’, by Vilém Flusser (1920-1991), in The Gestures, of photographing between differences of ‘searching for’ the concrete relationship between the ‘knowledgeable subject’, the ‘knowable object’ and adaptation between them, giving meaning to what ‘moves the observer’. For new ways of realizing, seeing, reflecting on the art, science, staring from doubt that emerges from the report, at present, the notion of ‘space’ as a result of the binding relationship action-object- subject with totality, comes from the work The nature of space: technique and time, reason and emotion, by Milton Santos (1926- 001). Fiction writing as symbolic constructivist inquiry in ego state therapy

Vermooten, Elizabeth 26 November 2008 (has links)
The dissertation primarily involves an exploration of art-like research possibilities via symbolic constructivism, concerning research into a therapeutic process from the position of a beginning therapist. Symbolic constructivism within the broader framework of artistic inquiry forms the methodological paradigm. Symbolic constructivism is regarded as a social constructionist research method, and entails using art-like formats in creating a symbol representing the issue being researched. Fiction writing is thereby used in creating a story as a co-constructed symbol, exploring what happened during a therapy process involving issues regarding trauma and dissociation that I undertook with a female client. The client acts as co-researcher in co-writing and editing the story's content, style and tone. The study also represents my reality in terms of understanding theoretical constructs from epistemologically diverse paradigms, therapeutic processes, doing research and writing a dissertation as it is punctuated at a specific moment in time. As a subtext the dissertation may also be described as a narrative about becoming - becoming a therapist, being a person, and the interface between these two (amongst other) selves. In the dissertation, I therefore hope to present a process-oriented account of personal therapeutic development as well. / Dissertation (MA)--University of Pretoria, 2008. / Psychology / unrestricted

Ornament v přírodě, vědě a umění. Analýza diskurzu připadové studie výuky / Ornament in Nature, Science and Art. Discourse Analysis of an Education Case Study

Havlásek Tatarová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The dissertation thesis, Ornament in Nature, Science and Art, deals with the theme of ornaments in contemporary art, design and architecture. Individual chapters are dedicated to exploring nature and science as sources of inspiration for contemporary art. The chapter, Body and Ornament, is about ornaments for the human bodies and patterns created from the form of human bodies. Art creations by the author and her students make up an integral part of the main text. An individual chapter is dedicated to the Bodyornament project. Bodyornament is a project involving artistic, educational and research elements. Its primary body of work took place as an art performance in the Veletržní palace in Prague. Through the active participation of the students, patterns and ornaments made from their bodies were created. The process was documented by means of photography. The photographs together with the students' written reflections about the experience comprise the primary research documents. In this dissertation, these documents were analyzed and interpreted by using a combination of specific forms of qualitative research and art-based research. Our research model was based on three degree reflexive analysis according to Donald Schön. Through interpretation of the research results, thoughts of possible...
