Dos valores pessoais às fases da lealdade

Henrique, Jorge Luiz January 2009 (has links)
The knowledge of an individual's values allows us to better predict their evaluative attitudes towards a situation or object, for personal values drive and guide individuals to specific behaviors. To date, theoretical studies on personal values and attitudes have not investigated these constructs as antecedents of consumer loyalty. Therefore, this thesis proposed to elaborate and empirically verify four theoretical models related to the complex interrelation between personal values-attitude-loyalty phases. So as to test the models hypotheses, two surveys involving 1200 respondents each were carried out. By means of multivariate analyses, the results confirmed (i) the positive relationship between personal values and the cognitive and action phases of loyalty; (ii) the mediating role of attitude on the relationships between personal values-cognitive phase and personal values-action phase; and (iii) the moderation of the relationship personal values- loyalty phases by the demographic variables of gender, age, education and income. Such results contribute to widen knowledge frontiers by (i) inserting personal values as antecedents of loyalty; (ii) identifying the most important value (Family Security) to the consumer; (iii) elucidating concepts and clarifying the use of the mediating and moderating roles of variables in the Marketing discipline; (iv) support the hypothesis that personal values vary across consumer's gender and age; and (v) creating a new personal values measuring scale to the area of Consumer Behavior, besides providing empirical evidence to financial companies on client segmentation according to personal values or attitudes.

Fatores intervenientes da lealdade em uma agência bancária: um estudo de caso com correntistas servidores da prefeitura de São Paulo / Intervening factors of loyalty in a bank branch: a case study with servers of prefecture São Paulo

Noél Alves Vicente 30 October 2014 (has links)
The service sector, in which banks have been inserted, is characterized by the intense use of human resources, heterogeneity and simultaneity of activities between production and consumption of products / services. This condition makes it quite complex and challenging proposing quality specifications that contributes to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Based in theoretical grounding on service\'s sector main themes, such as quality, satisfaction, loyalty, corporate image and human values issues, this study proposes to seek a better understanding of how these factors work in a bank. The study had been performed in a midsize bank agency located in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. To accomplish research goals, interviews, observations during business hours and fieldwork surveys were made with 202 clients. In the qualitative step, which is consisted by the interviews and observations, the information has been transcribed and consolidated according to relevance. In the quantitative step, after data collection, statistical analyzes were performed in univariate context, bivariate and multivariate analysis through factorial analysis techniques, cluster analysis, logistics regression analysis and structural equation modeling. The results suggests that functional quality is the most important factor in the quality of bank\'s agency object of study. The study also evidenced that the ability to understand individual needs, a business relationship built on transparency and integrity and the human value of social and environmental responsibility contributes in differentiating loyal and non-loyal agency\'s customers. The study also indicated that there is a direct relation between the Loyalty, Quality, Satisfaction and human values constructs.

Human rights implications of including services in Economic Partnership Agreements: the case of banking services in Ghana

Lasseko, Matilda E.K. January 2008 (has links)
With the banking sector showing remarkable growth in Ghana, it is a probable target for liberalisation by the European Union to enable their banks to enter this market. The author addresses the following research questions: (1) What are the possible outcomes of increased foreign participation through commercial presence upon liberalising the banking sector under Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs)? (2) Which recognised human rights, that Ghana has an obligation to respect, could be affected by liberalising the banking sector in Ghana under EPAs? (3) What are the outcomes of liberalising the banking sector on poverty reduction and development in Ghana? / Thesis (LLM (Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa))--University of Pretoria, 2008. / Dissertation submitted to the Faculty of Law University of Pretoria, in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree Masters of Law (LLM in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa). Losing their war : Using Service-Dominant Logic To Assess The Market Position Of Traditional Swedish Banks

Kuzhelko, Kirill January 2021 (has links)
Being influenced by advanced technology solutions, modern business is undergoing significant transformations. This is also true about the financial services sector, where innovative solutions are being actively used and new fintech companies are emerging. Against this background, the market share of large traditional banks reduces steadily. These trends are also observed in Sweden, which has one of the highest levels of digitalization of banking services in Europe. The described trends may indicate that Swedish traditional banks are unable to compete with fintech companies and adapt to the new business environment. Consequently, the purpose of the research is to assess the current and potential positions of large traditional Swedish banks in the financial services market. In particular, when considering the situation through the prism of service-dominant logic, it is necessary to understand the place that large traditional banks occupy in the overall process of value creation with the participation of the consumer. In this regard, the following questions have been examined within the research: RQ1. How can the largest traditional banks in Sweden preserve their market positions in the overall value creation process? RQ2. What services offered by the traditional banks are the most exposed to customer outflow? To answer the questions posed, the exploratory research has been carried out, which is based on a case study and an in-depth study of a specific example, namely the development of Swedbank in a changing market context. The research data has been mostly derived from the interview, although, to reduce its bias and subjectivity, the secondary data, providing an idea of market trends, has been also analyzed. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the main advantages of fintech companies are high specialization, seamless processes, and reduced government control. Against this background, traditional banks are losing market share, but in the future, the situation should stabilize. The reason is that traditional banks have the scale, infrastructure, and operant resources to deliver comprehensive financial services that require a customized approach and cannot be automated. In addition, large traditional banks could potentially act as a platform for the technological development of the entire industry. These circumstances determine the specific advantages and the development of incumbent banks in Sweden, although the involvement of consumers in the co-creation process through social media and mobile applications is still the problem.

Banking on the Future : Investigating the Behavioral Intention to Use Digital Core Banking Services. A Cross-Croup Comparison

Åhsbom, Albin, Jonatan, Andersson January 2024 (has links)
As a response to the increased awareness of digital banking together with the Covid-19 pandemic, digital banking has emerged as a true contender to traditional banking in Malaysia. Digital banking services (DBS) serves as a technological advancement to enhance the usefulness and access of all banking features. In order to successfully implement DBS, the awareness of customers’ personal attributes is of significance. Therefore, this study contributes by zooming in on young customers in Malaysia and investigates their intention to use DBS in general as well as highlighting differences between the two specific core banking services deposit and loan. To assess this, the research adopts a quantitative deductive approach, building a conceptual framework upon previous technology adoption theories such as Technology acceptance model (TAM), Diffusion of innovation (DOI) and Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Furthermore, data was collected through a survey answered by 432 Malaysian students in Kuala Lumpur and analyzed through PLS-SEM and MGA.  The study found five significant drivers directly or indirectly influencing the intention to use DBS. While some of these drivers had been tested previously, the study developed a fresh constellation of drivers which to the best of the authors’ knowledge had not been tested previously. The analysis demonstrates distinct differences in the relationships between drivers for digital deposit and loan services. Overall, these results provide valuable insights for financial institutions seeking to enhance their digital banking offerings and cater to the preferences of young customers in Malaysia.

La protection du consommateur des services bancaires et des services d'assurance / Protection of consumers of banking and insurance services

Hammoud, May 10 December 2012 (has links)
One consequence of the 2008 economical and financial crisis is the constant and continuous temptations to recover the shaken confidence of the consumer towards the professionals of the financial services sector. While consumer protection is a common theme in French law, and a recent one in Lebanese law, such research is lacking in specific banking and insurance services in comparative law. Indeed, the subject is often presented in separate angles of consumer protection in one of these two services, in one of these two rights. It follows that a global, but not exhaustive deepening in “the protection of consumer banking and insurance services” through a comparative perspective between the French and Lebanese Laws allow us to better understand the characteristics of such a combination. Therefore, a series of questions flush: What are the frameworks of the protections granted to these consumers? How do their governments, legislators, judges, and civil society defend their individual and collective interests? What are the legal consequences of such protection that sometimes proves to be unreasonable? This research seeks to try to answer all these questions, through two parties. The first, analyses the protection granted to individual and collective consumers interests in banking and insurance services sector. The second focuses on the implementation of such a curative, sometimes unreasonable protection of banking and insurance services consumers.
