No. of bitstreams: 1 345688.pdf: 6754289 bytes, checksum: 80634fbb914337ba9cfb52b33f8151dd (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016 / Este trabalho apresenta a biblioteca da escritora Cora Coralina, pseudônimo de Anna Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto Brêtas, pela dupla proposta de estudo: a catalogação do acervo bibliográfico da poetisa, ou seja, sua biblioteca particular; e a análise, por meio de uma leitura biografemática, dos resíduos encontrados, tanto no arquivar/desarquivar dos fragmentos quanto em alguns textos poéticos de sua escritura. Os versos selecionados, voltados à poesia da culinária, à poesia do eu e à poesia do resíduo, se tornaram corpus para análise da construção de uma persona. São, portanto, os fios condutores que desenham, de forma emblemática, os biografemas que se articulam na escritura de Cora Coralina. Os objetos residuais são considerados sob o ponto de vista de uma autobiografia material, revelados não apenas nos títulos, autores e assuntos catalogados, mas sobretudo, nas implicações presentes nas tessituras de associações das suas experiências e memórias, assim como os pormenores concretos que, por sua vez, revelam as múltiplas facetas da vida e da obra da poetisa. A pesquisa propõe um entrelaçamento de gesto de vida e de escritura da autora, como uma dança ritualística em torno da figura emblemática da ?mulher-monumento?, como apontado por Andrea Delgado (2003). A biblioteca particular catalogada contempla parte do espólio da escritora e encontra-se localizada no Museu Casa de Cora Coralina na cidade de Goiás, sob a direção da professora Marlene Vellasco. Essa tese, propõe-se, portanto, espelhar a singularidade da poetisa por meio dos biografemas cotejados em sua escritura e, por vezes, com a iconografia, punctum, tal como percebido por Roland Barthes (1984). O processo de inventariar a biblioteca particular de Cora Coralina permite dar visibilidade ao acervo de 912 títulos e 978 exemplares disponibilizados em forma de catálogo, resgatando, do ?esquecimento?, um autêntico repertório de fontes e inspirações da poetisa e de sua escritura. Opera-se, a partir das centenas de páginas impressas entre rastros de suas leituras, as redes de relações com os ?outros?, as escritas de margens em forma de anotações, adendos, rasuras, além de paratextos, como as dedicatórias, os pós-escritos e os excertos inéditos em prosa e em verso. Trata-se de uma tese de doutorado, a primeira que se dispõe a desarquivar biografemas a partir da biblioteca particular da escritora e que, ao final se transforma na construção de uma ?biografia descontínua?, inserida no contexto do espaço biográfico, proposto por Leonor Arfuch (2010) e, cujo fio condutor, envolve aspectos conexos à linha de pesquisa memória, subjetividade e história.<br> / Abstract : This study presents the library of the writer Cora Colina, pseudonym for Anna Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto Brêtas, with a two-fold proposal: cataloguing the bibliography of the poet in her private library, and analysing - through a biographeme reading ? the residues found both in the archiving process and in some of the author?s poetic writings. The selected verses, dealing with themes of culinary, of the self and of the residue became the corpus for the analysis of the construction of a persona. They are, therefore, the engine that brings together, in an emblematic way, the biographemes that are articulated in the writings of Cora Coralina. The residual objects are considered from the point of view of a material autobiography, which is revealed not only in catalogued titles, authors, and subjects, but mainly in the implications presented in the constructed associations between experience and memories, as well as in the concrete details that reveal the multiple facets of the poet?s life and work. The research proposes a net of connections between the life gesture and the author?s writings, as in a ritualistic dance around the emblematic figure of the ?monument woman?, as pointed out by Andrea Delgado (2003). The catalogued private library encompasses part of the writer?s assets and is located in the Museum ?Casa de Cora Coralina? in the city of Goiás, under the direction of professor Marlene Vellasco. In this sense, this dissertation aims at portaying the singularity of the poet through the biographemes present in her writings, and also through the punctum iconography, as defined by Roland Barthes (1984). The process of inventorying the private library of Cora Coralina gives visibility to the archives of 912 titles and 978 samples made available in the form of a catalogue, saving from oblivion an authentic repertoire of sources and inspirations of the poet and her writings. From the hundreds of pages printed out in traces of her readings, networks of relations with ?others? operate as well as writings on the margins in the form of notes, erasures and paratexts, such as dedications, post-writings and unpublished excerpts both in prose and verse. The doctoral dissertation is the first to look at the archives of biographemes from her private library which become, at the end, a discontinuous biography, inserted in the context of the biographical space as proposed by Leonor Arfuch (2010), whose thread involves aspects related to the line of research on memory, subjectivity and history.

Habits that require a time without urgency portrayed in an activity with no immediate practical means, exclude popular classes deprived of appropriate legitimate instruments, as familiar education and school system have not provided this intimacy and, therefore values of a dominant culture are not known, but are recognized as important and thus they attempt to reproduce them in their lives. A private library is a symbol of distinction and of reading habit, a habit mainly of the dominant culture and as such is valued and attempts to reproduce it is made by other cultures. As historical reference, I follow the inventories and researches of reading habits by Roger Chartier, in a study about reading and readers of France of the Ancient Regime, making distinctions between popular and dominant classes, field and city, analyzing different printing forms, overviewing studies of books storing furnishings of the time, different forms of text appropriation and even appropriate reading clothing. Through statements, autobiographical texts or memorialists and parts of romances where center figures are readers and librarians, I tried to search the history of the reading manners, identifying specific dispositions that distinguish the reading communities and their reading habits. There are many resemblances and equally many contrasts among reading rules and conventions, which define for each reader s community, the legitimate uses of the book, such as ways of reading, instruments and interpretation procedures. Resemblances and contrasts therefore are found among several interests and expectations with which the different reading groups invest in their reading practices / Baseado em estudos sobre habitus e estilo de vida de Pierre Bourdieu, aplicados para entender a biblioteca pessoal e o hábito de leitura como símbolos de poder e distinção que são conhecidos e expressos no hábito e no estilo de vida de uma cultura dominante e que, portanto, é reconhecida como tal pelos outros estilos de vida. Hábito que requer um tempo desprovido de urgência retratado em uma atividade sem fins práticos imediatos, exclui as classes populares, desprovidas dos instrumentos de apropriação legítimos, pois a educação familiar ou o sistema escolar não propiciou essa intimidade e, portanto, não conhecem os valores da cultura dominante, mas os reconhecem como importantes e tentam reproduzi-los em suas vidas. Utilizando uma abordagem pessoal e pouco convencional, construiu-se a metodologia a partir do projeto original que foi ressignificado ao longo da pesquisa, considerando-se que é um desafio para parte das pessoas, especificamente estudantes, professores e cientistas, ler uma quantidade insondável de livros e artigos para uma formação alargada. O modelo proposto é um Sistema de Visualização da Biblioteca, que possibilita a análise de livros [pessoais] que podem ser exibidos interativamente na forma de gráficos de duas ou três dimensões, onde os leitores podem ter múltiplos pontos de vista sobre seus livros na biblioteca, de forma a aguçar a percepção humana em busca de padrões, consonâncias, dissonâncias, exclusões, convergências e dispersões do conhecimento disponível. O Sistema de Visualização da Biblioteca proposto é original por ser produto de um conjunto de ferramentas que possibilita os leitores imergir nas informações do seu interesse específico, uma solução criativa para o problema de como ler livros digitais e até bibliotecas digitais pessoais completas, de forma não sequencial e abstrata, aproveitando das características cognitivas humanas. A conclusão a que se chegou é a de que aceitar a visualização de informações como um novo paradigma de leitura é fundamental para que possamos intencionalmente transformar a leitura, como conhecemos, essa prática secular, e, desta forma, saltar o atual estágio de utilização de computadores como máquinas de escrever e de leitura de incunábulos digitais. / This thesis presents how the information visualization can be used in the conception of new types of books and articles reading in personal digital libraries and thus to become a powerful way of knowledge discovery and construction, by the transformation in our reading practices. Using a personal and little conventional approach, the methodology was built from the original project that was re-signified during the research, considering that it is a challenge for part of people, specifically students, professors and scientists, to read an abysmal amount of books and articles for a widened formation. The proposed model, a System of Visualization of Library, makes possible to analysis personal books that can be shown interactively by graphs in two or three dimensions where reader people can have multiple points of view on their books in library, as a way to sharpen human perception in searching standards, concordances, dissonances, exclusions, convergences and dispersions of available knowledge. The proposed System of Visualization of Library is original when it is the product of a set of tools that makes possible the readers to immerge into the information of their specific interest. It is a creative solution for the problem of how to read digital books and until complete personal digital libraries in an abstract and not sequential way using to advantage of human cognitive characteristics. The conclusion is that to accept the visualization of information as a new reading paradigm is basic to let us intentionally transform the reading act as we know, this secular practice, and thus to jump the current stage of computers use as typewriters and digital incunabula reading.

A pesquisa tem como objetivos levantar os aspectos culturais e históricos que proporcionaram o aparecimento e a preservação da coleção; identificar as práticas de leitura da família Botelho e verificar a coincidência entre o acervo e os padrões culturais da época. A partir da fundamentação teórica da História da Leitura, a pesquisa baseia-se no levantamento, caracterização e análise dos itens que compõem a biblioteca, no que diz respeito aos seus aspectos físicos e temáticos. Entrevistas com descendentes e análise de documentos da família complementam os dados. Os resultados revelaram que o acervo da atual biblioteca foi construído em duas vertentes. Uma da época do Conde e dos seus primeiros descendentes, cujos vestígios são visíveis, mas que ao longo dos anos perderam-se em parte. A outra foi obtida através da reconstrução da biblioteca que existiu, a partir de idéias, notícias e o imaginário atual sobre o que teria sido um acervo da passagem do século XIX para o século XX. Através das temáticas abrangidas pelo acervo, verifica-se que os Botelho, seguindo a tendência elitista da época, valorizavam a cultura européia, principalmente a francesa. As temáticas ‘viagens’, ‘história’ e ‘exotismo’ em relação ao Brasil são bastante privilegiadas no acervo. A coleção evidencia ainda a mudança das preferências de leitura ao longo das gerações, como por exemplo, da predominância das ciências humanas para a inclusão de obras de ciências exatas. Há também algumas obras especiais com dedicatórias e em primeiras edições. / Studies the history of a private library owned by many generations of the family of the Count of Pinhal, an eminent politician and businessman who lived in the second half of the XIX century and who had an important role in the foundation and development of the city of S. Carlos in the countryside of S. Paulo State. The objectives include analysis of the cultural aspects which determined the beginning of the collection and its preservation; identifying the reading practices of the Botelho which may represent the readers of the rural aristocracy in the Brazilian period of the move from monarchy to republic, and verifying the congruences between the collection and the cultural patterns of that time. Founded on historical theories of reading, the research carries out a physical and thematic analysis and characterization of the items of the library. Interviews with members of the family furnished additional data. Results revealed that the collection which form the library today presents two sections based on two historical moments. One of the time in which the Count and his immediate descendents still lived, whose vestiges are visible, although part of it has been lost through the years. The other was obtained by means of the reconstruction of the first library, based on ideas, on information, and on the present beliefs about what a collection of the threshold of the twentieth century must have been like. From the analysis of the themes covered by the collection, it was verified that the Botelho, following the elitist tendencies of the time, valued the european culture, mainly the french culture. As to the themes related to Brazil, the most frequent were “traveling”, “history” and “exoticism”. The collection also reveals reading preference shifts through time, as for example, from the predominance of human sciences to hard sciences. There are also some special first edition books with notes from authors.

Partindo do efeito de leitura percebido nas escrituras autorrreflexivas de Machado de Assis e Gustave Flaubert que, por meio de uma intensa solicitação a discursos já-escritos, pareciam escrever verdadeiros livros feitos de livros , o presente trabalho se propôs estudar a interdiscursividade dos autores, compreendida dentro de suas práticas de escrita e de leitura, a partir do que chamamos de biblioteca fantástica, num diálogo explícito com a teoria de Michel Foucault. Seguindo dois eixos principais, nos quais pretendíamos observar a obra dentro da biblioteca (o espaço das bibliotecas reais dos autores enquanto o lugar privilegiado da enunciabilidade das obras) e a biblioteca dentro da obra (a ficcionalização do livro e dos elementos concernentes ao sistema literário presente nas escrituras), fomos levados a entrever a relação tensional com o já-escrito operada pelas escrituras dos dois autores, aspecto reforçado pelo recurso a ardis ficcionais distintos, a saber, o autor ficcional machadiano e o discurso indireto livre flaubertiano. Ao longo de nosso percurso crítico, percebemos que a biblioteca fantástica dos autores estudados, construída no intervalo entre os dois citados eixos, mostrou-se reveladora da problemática concernente à enunciabilidade e à legibilidade das obras, já que a interdiscursividade de suas escrituras autorreflexivas questionava as formas naturalizadas ou impostas de escrever e de ler, recolocando a literatura enquanto questão. / Having as a starting point the reading effect of Machado de Asiss and Gustave Flauberts self reflecting narratives which, due to the intense recourse to other discourses, seem to be books made of other books , the aim of this work is to study these writers interdiscursivity practices, as observed in their writing and reading practices through the concept of the fantastic library, in an explicit dialogue with Michel Foucaults theory. Following two main paths from which we would like to observe the literary work inside the library (the space of the writers real libraries as a privileged viewpoint of their enunciability) and the library in the work (that is, the image of the book and of elements of the literary system represented in the books), we noticed a tense relationship with these other discourses in these two writers practices, which is reinforced by the recourse to different narratological devices such as the fictional author in Machado and free indirect style in Flaubert. As our analysis progressed, we perceive that the fantastic library of those authors, construed between those paths already mentioned, revealed some of the problems related to their enunciability and legibility, as the interdiscursivity of these self reflecting narratives questions not only naturalized or imposed manners of reading and writing but literature itself.

No. of bitstreams: 1 2011_Dis_JLFLima.pdf: 2438948 bytes, checksum: 3214eb91403d846b8929e126107a7dc5 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2011 / This work try to present the trajectory of the reading cabinets founded in the cities of Sobral Granja Ipu Camocim and Viçosa by newspapers books of memories and interviews It also tries to analyze the process of constitution of the collections of the reading cabinets of Ipu and Camocim whose whereabouts was possible to identify Starting from them we discuss the set up around the movement of the object book by the cities of the north area of Ceará retracing the paths taken from the production places and publication going by the bookstores located in main Centers distributors of the readers and the collections of the reading cabinets in the north region of Ceará In this effort we tried to demonstrate the existence of establishment connected with the sale of books in the area aiming to commercial firms as important points of distribution of didactic books liturgical manuals and devotional texts and more rarely literary works – novels The typographies are also seen as point of distribution and production of books in the region At the end we discussed the inclusion of the reading cabinets in the local memory. / Este trabalho busca apresentar a trajetória dos gabinetes de leitura fundados nas cidades de Sobral Granja Ipu Camocim e Viçosa a partir da consulta a jornais livros de memórias e entrevistas Procura também analisar o processo de constituição dos acervos dos gabinetes de leitura de Ipu e Camocim cujo paradeiro foi possível identificar A partir deles buscamos discutir a constituição de uma rede de comunicação configurada em torno da circulação do objeto livro pelas cidades da região norte do Ceará reconstituindo os caminhos percorridos desde os locais de produção e publicação passando pelas livrarias localizadas nos principais centros distribuidores do comércio livreiro nacional até a chegada aos leitores e aos acervos dos gabinetes de leitura da região norte do Ceará Neste esforço procuramos evidenciar a existência de estabelecimentos ligados à venda de livros na região apontando as firmas comerciais como importantes pontos de distribuição de livros didáticos manuais litúrgicos e textos devocionais e mais raramente obras literárias – romances As tipografias também se apresentam como pontos de distribuição e produção de livros na região Ao fim discutimos a inserção dos gabinetes de leitura na memória local.
