Biotechnologinių priemonių panaudojimo galimybės deoksinivalenolio detoksikacijai kviečiuose / The possibilities of biotechnological devices in usage of deoksinyvalenole in detoxication of wheat

Laivienė, Vilma 19 April 2007 (has links)
The aim of this work was to investigate DON in wheat with Acoustic and ELISA methods, and look if in biotechnological processes such as the sourdough bread making process and the bio-ethanol fermentation process have influence on the amount of DON in dough and bread and on the DON content in DDGS (Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles) as residue of the bio-ethanol process which is used for feed purposes. A collection of wheat has been taken from the Lithuanian Agriculture Institute at Dotnuva and the DON content has been determined by Acoustic and ELISA methods. Both methods are in reasonable correlation with each other (R2 = 0,735) and applied on the raw material wheat. The aim of the second part of the study was to apply different sourdough bacteria (L. bulgaricus and L. acidophilus) in the bread making process and to determine the DON content in dough and bread with the ELISA method. The reduction of DON was noticed in both Lactobacillus applications but was the best by applying L. bulgaricus. The pH had no influence on the detoxification process in the dough. In the third part of the study the bio-alcohol fermentation process showed that with an optimal mixture of amylase- glucoamylase respectively an enzyme preparation (Vilzim SKK 350 AV) a good reduction of DON in DDGS could be obtained. (44, 5%) With these results it is recommended as to use sourdough processes in the manufacture of bread in Lithuania which is already common practice to reduce DON in bread and... [to full text]

Mokslo laisvė kaip teisės kategorija ir jos ypatumai biomedicinos kontekste / Freedom of science as a category of law and its peculiarities in biomedicine

Hendrixson, Vaiva 03 February 2009 (has links)
The thesis analyses freedom of science as a category of law and its peculiarities in biomedicine. Freedom of science as a legal category is not adequately regulated and cannot sufficiently provide the legal basis for protecting society against adverse effects resulting from biomedical and technological development. The main problems associated with the regulation of the freedom of science are the problem of regulating the limits of the freedom of science, the problem associated with the conception of the freedom of science as a human right (freedom), and the problem concerned with the conception of the freedom of science as a fundamental principle. Therefore the aim of the thesis was to analyze and evaluate the characteristics of the freedom of science in biomedicine. The thesis analyses the right (freedom) of the scientist to perform research and the right of the investigated subject to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress and its applications, as well as the peculiarities and limitations of the freedom of science in biomedicine.

Bioekonomika: teorinis ir taikomasis požiūriai / Bioeconomy: A Theoretical And Applied Approach

Kniūkšta, Bernardas 14 January 2009 (has links)
Tyrimo objektas – bioekonomikos teorinis turinys ir taikomosios sritys. Darbo tikslas – atskleisti bioekonomikos teorinį turinį ir nustatyti jos apimamas ekonominės veiklos sritis, išryškinant jos sąsajas su darniu vystymusi. Uždaviniai: 1) atskleisti bioekonomikos koncepcijas ir traktuotes; 2) išanalizuoti bioekonomikos vaidmenį ekonomikoje, teikiamą naudą ir keliamą riziką; 3) atskleisti bioekonomikos indėlį į darnų vystymąsi; 4) nustatyti bioekonomikos vystymosi prielaidas. Tyrimo metodai - analizuojant bioekonomikos teorinius aspektus - jos traktuotę bei sankirtą su kitais mokslais - naudoti apibendrinimo ir apibendrinamosios abstrakcijos metodai; analizuojant bioekonomikos vaidmenį pasaulio ekonomikoje, jos teikiamą naudą ir iššaukiamą riziką taikytas loginės analizės metodas; bioekonomikos indėlis į darnų vystymąsi nagrinėtas izoliuojančiosios abstrakcijos metodu; analizuojant tarptautinių institucijų ir Lietuvos požiūrį į bioekonomiką naudoti akademinės, teisinės ir mokslo populiarinimo literatūros bendramoksliniai tyrimo metodai – loginė analizė ir sintezė bei dokumentų analizės metodai. Literatūros ir informacijos šaltinai – Lietuvos ir užsienio mokslininkų darbai, konferencijų medžiaga, tarptautinių institucijų dokumentai, teisės aktai. / Research object – theoretical content and applied fields in bioeconomy. Research aim – to reveal content of bioeconomics, to identify range of economic activities involved in bioeconomy and highlight its connections with sustainable development. Objectives: 1) to reveal approaches and conceptions of bioeconomy; 2) to analyse the role of bioeconomy in the world economy including its advantage and disadvantage; 3) to define contribution of bioeconomy to sustainable development; 4) to define premises of bioeconomy development. Research methods: in the analysis of theoretical aspects of bioeconomy and its interaction with related sciences was applied generalization method; in the analysis of the role of bioeconomy in the world economy including its advantage and disadvantage was applied logical analysis method; in the analysis of contribution of bioeconomy to sustainable development was applied abstraction method; in analysis of attitudes towards bioeconomy were applied analysis and synthesis of scientific literature and international organization documents.
